Good afternoon dear culinary experts. It couldn't be easier to prepare soup for the first meal. Quite often we prepare soups and don’t even think about the great benefits of this dish. The benefits of soup are very great; firstly, it contains a lot of useful substances that our body needs, from vegetables to meat and broth.

It is especially good when soups are served hot, as our body quickly absorbs all the beneficial properties from the dish.

Well, since we’re talking about soup, I suggest you prepare a divinely delicious soup with dumplings. Since you don’t cook it often, I decided to offer you my own version of preparing this soup.

If anyone doesn’t know or has forgotten, dumplings are small balls of dough that are added to soup. A very long time ago, Europeans came up with the idea of ​​adding dumplings to soups, and then they completely became an independent dish. Perhaps you even know what it is, for example in Ukraine they are called dumplings, in Belarus daws. Well, we will cook dumplings.

Recipe for soup dumplings

To prepare I need to take:

  • 1 egg.
  • 40 ml water.
  • 120 grams of wheat flour.
  • A little salt.

Break the egg into a deep bowl, add a little water and mix everything with a whisk.

Add salt and flour and knead the dough until it becomes elastic and no longer sticks to your hands. Once you have made the dough, let it rest for about 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, you can begin to form the dumplings. The dough needs to be divided into several parts, roll them into sausages and cut into small pieces. If you have children helping you, you can ask them to make the dumplings in the form of small balls. It is always interesting for children to help tinker with the dough. Now that the dumplings are ready, flour your cutting board and lay out the dumplings. For now, you can leave them alone and start preparing the soup itself.

Making dumpling soup

We are preparing soup, for this we take: half a chicken, some potatoes, carrots, onions, spices, herbs.

First you need to put the meat to cook. After boiling, reduce the heat. You can add salt and throw in two bay leaves. And continue to cook the meat until half done.

While the meat is cooking, peel the potatoes into cubes or whatever you prefer. We rinse it, and when the meat is half ready, you can add the potatoes to the pan.

Now you can start frying. We clean the vegetables and the regime. The carrots can be grated and the onion finely chopped. Fry everything until light golden brown.

After the potatoes, add the dumplings to the pan. If desired, the meat can be removed and separated from the bones, cut into small pieces.

Now that the dumplings, potatoes and meat are completely ready, you can add frying to the soup, taste for salt, add salt if necessary and add peppercorns.

Before serving, the soup in the bowl can be garnished with finely chopped green onions or a sprig of dill. Serve with fresh bread or rolls.
