Pies from Nicholas official. Bar-buffet "Nikolai" on Staraya Basmannaya

Show in full

This is where the cat lives! When my friend and I froze today, along the way, I might have bronchitis .... She said: "Let's go, let's warm up with Nikolai - he has cats"! We will buy more to take with us. The cat will look and cure everything. No, she is absolutely healthy;)))) Do not think)

Establishment in the center. There are very, well, just very tasty pies and a rich history. I was delighted with trout with cheese, turkey with prunes. Thin dough and lots of toppings. Sweet pie with pumpkin and mascarpone - a fairy tale, just the most delicate filling. Reminds me of cupcakes. Also, here is a wonderful lingonberry juice. There is also raspberry, cherry, cranberry, currant. Natural, tasty and healthy.

We were told that on the days of fasting, the assortment of pies with lean fillings and dough that does not contain animal proteins increases here. Well, you can also arrange delivery. There are salads, soups, this place is famous not only for pies;)

Sat down on a comfortable sofa with a volume of Onegin and enjoy.

I don't know why, but we laughed so hard here. They joked about the photos. Nikolai Andreevich Peregudov (founder), was a handsome man, prominent, imposing. The plunderer of women's hearts and the thief of female harmony.

Entering here, you seem to find yourself in that old imperial Moscow. The audience is also different - it is different. The only thing missing is ladies in crinoline dresses and men with pince-nez. It was uncomfortable to sit right in jeans. Even the name is special - a bar-buffet;) I don’t know, maybe my worldview is like that)

And of course, the main star and love at first sight is him. They argued for a long time, a cat or a cat - they came to a common agreement. A cat with a sad look, lop-eared, but I don’t know the name, when I return, I will definitely ask. He lay quietly, well-fed, well-fed, so far only allowed to admire what it was - just saw each other and immediately caressed?! Well, no, he's not like that. Breed, grace. This creature made me promise to return, we must get to know each other better in the end.

There was musical accompaniment on an old gramophone (littered?). They said Chaliapin sang.

Prices here are like in Tsarskoye Selo time, they are normal. Some places higher, some places lower. Democratic.

For such weather - very cozy, warm, homely atmosphere, friendly, smiling waiters. Oh! They even installed a bathtub in the toilet.

Unfortunately, if you arrive late, then your favorite pies may simply not be left. The cat will eat everything (just kidding).

Oh, Kolya, Nikolai, what are you doing to me ... Feel free to take it with any taste, there will be no delay. A great view of Tverskaya will give you time to relax.

I advise. ZadushEvno.

It's always nice to sit on a comfortable sofa, drink delicious hot tea with fresh homemade cake, watch a movie and, of course, pet a cat sitting next to you. Add to this the company of friends and a pleasant evening is guaranteed. It's great that such gatherings can now be arranged not only at home. On Staraya Basmannaya Street there is a bar-buffet "Nikolai", which has all the ingredients for a pleasant pastime in a warm company, including cats. Yes, yes, two charming Scottish Fold cats live in this establishment, with their characteristic languor and love to wallow. Cats can not just be stroked, they can be grabbed and squeezed a little, however, sometimes they still get a little nervous, and they hide from the eyes of enthusiastic visitors.

Here, as in all the other "Nikolai" in which we were, very pleasant bartenders who always politely tell you everything, tell and advise the pie. In addition to pies (sweet and savory), the main menu has a wonderful chicken broth with egg ( 120 rub.). I really like that this is exactly the broth, a piece of chicken meat and the egg itself, without any floating noodles there. As for pies - in my opinion, they are just excellent here: good dough and various fillings, and, most importantly, they do not spare it (the fillings)! Today our choice fell on a turkey pie with prunes ( 120 rub.) and Sweet Lemon Pie ( 80 rub.) By the way, you can take all the pies in "Nikolay" with you.

There are also salads on the menu, more precisely, the “salad of the day”, but it changes every day, and it’s hard to guess which one will be on the day of your visit. Separately, I would like to highlight drinks: there is a very tasty milk oolong, excellent masala tea (it makes you feel hot!), amazing lemonades and homemade fruit drinks. One day, while waiting for my drink, I noticed a small plate with fresh, mouth-watering homemade cookies on the bar counter. Of course, I asked the bartender how much it costs, since there were no price tags nearby. Smiling, the bartender told me that these wonderful cookies are completely free and you can just treat yourself to them. By the way, the cookies were delicious!

On Sunday evenings at 21.00, the bartenders dim the lights and the film screening begins on the projector, and on Monday evening you can hear live music here. You can follow the poster of film screenings and other news in

More recently, a new, homely cozy cafe "Nikolai" has opened on Pyatnitskaya Street with friendly staff, affordable prices, a unique menu and a chic water closet equipped with a shower.

Only when crossing the threshold of the institution, one can say with confidence that the interior of the institution is solid and simple: oak floor and bar counter, soft, muffled light of lampshades highlighting the classic tables with iron forging. But looking more closely, you notice a lot of touching details: wide window sills delight with unexpected mini-lawns made of live grass, so juicy and optimistically green against the backdrop of a snow-covered street. Friendly pistachio color
the walls are diluted with cheerful prints of teapots, coffee pots, pies, and at the entrance a real theatrical decoration of the hallway has turned out - with painted shelves of books and a telephone set. Also, a curious visitor will notice a whole gallery of portraits of the famous Nikolaev - here, among others, are Nicholas II Alexandrovich, and Pirogov, and Gogol, and Miklukho-Maclay, and even Nicholas the Wonderworker. And, of course, when you get to the toilet, you think for a long time for whom the shower is set up and towels are in store.

As for the cuisine, the main and most important menu item in "Nikolay" is pies, there are no less than 18 types of them: sweet, not sweet, with raspberries, mushrooms, meat, trout, pumpkin and orange. Households deserve special attention.
filling-dough proportions, which allow you to tell from the first bite what kind of pie it is, and not look for the declared meat in it. Absolutely non-Moscow prices are also a pleasant surprise, here a portion of the most expensive trout pie will cost 90 rubles,
and a portion of sweet pies costs 60 rubles. Pies are baked in a bakery located on the street next to the bar, so they are always fresh and tasty, and "yesterday's" pies simply do not exist - what remains after closing is taken to the nearest
church and distributed among the staff.

Good afternoon

I want to express my dissatisfaction with your service. Our company often ordered pies from you for birthdays and holidays, however, after such an attitude, colleagues basically do not want to use your services anymore. And it's a pity, because your pies were really delicious.
About the problem:
We made an order for 4 pies around 12 o'clock, after forty minutes they said that due to the lack of some ingredients, 2 pies could not be made. We went to a meeting and ordered other pies instead of the ones we wanted. Nothing, this happens, entered the position. The order was for 2 pm, the maximum arrival time of the courier was indicated as 15-00. Which is strange, because the order was made at the beginning of the first hour, well, okay. They waited for the courier on the basis that at least half 3 will arrive. They called around 15-00 and said that the courier was delayed due to traffic jams and would be at 15-30, or even later. They apologized and the operator said that the company would like to make amends and the order will be at the expense of the company if we wait for the courier. (I think that your conversations are recorded, the words can be checked)

It is difficult to imagine what our dissatisfaction with the current situation was. People waited for food for more than 2 hours, did not go to lunch and expected to celebrate the employee's birthday at 2-3 pm. As a result, it is reported that they need to sit for another 1.5 hours and wait for the courier with cooled and probably already cold pies. But given the weather and the apologies, your company's willingness to be flexible and make concessions by compensating for the entire order, colleagues decided to order pizza elsewhere and wait for the courier with Pies to eat tomorrow. Free pies for 3 hours of hunger and a spoiled mood are not the biggest compensation, but a freebie has always been above all for a Russian person and people seem to have even been inspired and even thanked your company, despite the spoiled impression.

BUT, of course, it's impossible not to spoil everything. :))) When I called 30 minutes later to find out the approximate time of arrival of the courier, not only were we informed that the courier would arrive in 1.5 hours! That is, at half past 6 pm! Also, your (already different) operator reported that an error occurred and not the entire order would be free, but only delivery. And the maximum that she can offer is 1 pie at the expense of the company.
You have to understand what kind of indignation was caused by this boorish attitude? :))) That is, according to the operator, we had to pay for cold pies, which we expected from 2 days to, perhaps, half 6, and possibly longer, that is, at least 4.5 hours?
I don’t think it’s worth saying that our entire office of 250 people is aware of this story and I believe that the friends and families of these people are also aware, since those directly affected by such “services” are very impressed and the name of your company is now often comes up in conversations. Also, the guys seemed to want to bombard you with negative reviews everywhere, including their pages in social networks and groups.

I do not expect any feedback and communication from you to this letter. I decided only to explain the situation, because of which you will most likely be hammered in the reviews, since they are unlikely to tell you in detail what happened.
