Museum of military equipment "Combat Glory of the Urals". Artillery and armored vehicles. Museum of Military Equipment “Combat Glory of the Urals” Awarded the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation

Last time I showed part of the museum Battle glory Urals "(Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Yekaterinburg). Today I will show and talk about some of the exhibits located on an open area (in a few years the area will be increased one and a half to two times). This museum is represented only combat vehicles USSR. So do not look here for the technology of the Allied countries or the Axis countries.

1. In the foreground is an I-16 fighter. By the beginning of World War II it was already outdated, but was still actively used in the first months of the war.

2. Four heavy tanks: KV-1, KV-2, IS-2, IS-3. The latter was created at the end of the war, but did not participate in battles. At that time, the IS-3 was perhaps the best heavy tank. KV-1 and KV-2 we will consider a little later.

3. One of the first versions famous tank T-34 with a short-barrel 76-mm guns L-11. Several hundred of these tanks were the first to be met by German troops.

5. Another rare instance is the T-34 with the 57 mm ZIS-4 cannon. At the beginning of the war, their production was curtailed (however, a few dozen such models were made), since the gun turned out to be too powerful. In the middle of the war, they will try to resume the production of such models, but will soon switch to 85 mm caliber (see T-34-85).

6. Flamethrower tank OT-34-76. It is believed that in the world there are only 4 copies. Here are the "native" tower and the barrel of the flamethrower (where other T-34s have a machine gun).

7. T-34-76 model of 1942. Released at the Stalingrad plant.

8. T-34-76 model of 1942. The most popular model. Produced by several factories. This instance was assembled at Plant No. 183 (Nizhny Tagil) and participated in the Battle of Kursk as part of the 4th Panzer Army.

10. In the foreground Soviet models of howitzer self-propelled artillery: 152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S19 Msta-S (1989), 152-mm self-propelled gun 2S5 “Hyacinth-S” (1976), 152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2C3 “Acacia” (1971).

11.152-mm D-20 howitzer gun (1955)

12. The infamous 9A310 self-propelled firing system 9K37 Buk anti-aircraft missile system (1980)

13. Self-propelled launcher KS-41 (2P24) anti-aircraft missile system 2K11 "Circle" (1965). I remember there was a similar toy in childhood.

16. Another well-known launcher S-75 "Dvina". From a similar installation on May 1, 1960, a U-2 reconnaissance aircraft with an American pilot Gary Powers was shot down over Sverdlovsk.

18. The supersonic fighter-interceptor MiG-31 (1980).

19. The supersonic fighter-interceptor MiG-31 (1980)

20. 152-mm self-propelled artillery mount Msta

21. The supersonic fighter-interceptor MiG-31 (1980)

22. The multiple launch rocket system "Smerch" (300 mm).

23. Left front bomber SU-24 (1975). A similar car was recently hit by the Turks.

24. And this is "Nona" - a 120-mm airborne self-propelled artillery gun.

25. 203-mm self-propelled gun 2S7 "Peony" (1976).

Museum military equipment "The military glory of the Urals" in the open air was created in 2006 by the UMMC. The museum contains mainly exhibits of pre-war and wartime, which were collected throughout Russia. The exposition has become one of the largest in the region. The content of all the equipment is simply exemplary and can serve as a standard for museums of this type. The location of the machines allows you to inspect each exhibit from all sides.

It all started with a monument to the soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War. On May 9, 2005, a memorial complex was opened in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma near the central entrance enterprise Uralelectromed in the memory of factory workers who died during the Great Patriotic War. In the same year, a group of World War II veterans living in Verkhnyaya Pyshma appealed to the management of the UMMC-Holding and Uralelectromed enterprises with a request to purchase and install several copies of military equipment from the memorial. So at the Cranes, next to the Eternal Flame, artillery guns appeared.

Military equipment so successfully fit into the architectural complex that the idea of creating an entire open-air museum arose almost immediately. Its grand opening took place on May 9, 2006. The exposition at that time amounted to ten copies of military equipment. The pearl of the collection was the legendary BM-13 Katyusha rocket launcher, which took part in the Victory Parade in 1945 on Red Square.

By May 9, 2007, 20 cranes of various military branches were already lining up at the Cranes memorial. On May 9, 2013, an exhibition center was solemnly opened on the territory of the Museum, which in addition to thematic military-historical and automobile expositions housed a unique interactive platform.

In the halls of the exhibition center of the museum a unique collection of military equipment, retro cars and military-historical relics is collected.

The first floor of the exhibition is dedicated to armored vehicles, military vehicles and artillery systems of the Great Patriotic War. Here you can see the legendary SUVs GAZ-67, Willis, Dodge, FORD GPA amphibian, “forty-five” cannon, field kitchen, a collection of Soviet representative cars that became symbols of the era - GAZ M-1, ZIS-101, ZIS-110 and Other interesting exhibits.

The second floor is completely dedicated to history. cars. Here are the main examples of cars produced by the Soviet automobile industry in the postwar years: “Muscovites”, “Volga”, “Lada”, “Zaporozhye”. In addition, the exhibition features Soviet motorcycles, scooters and wheelchairs.

On the third floor of the exhibition center there is an exposition dedicated to the history of the Russian award system, uniforms and small arms. In the touch kiosks and panels you will find detailed information about the exhibits, and in special holographic installations you can see models of those objects that are not yet in the museum's collection.

On May 9, 2015, the railway exposition of the museum of military equipment was opened. The model of the railway station of the 1930s, as well as five trains are presented. Among the exhibits are steam locomotives of the Ov, Em, Eu, Ea series, various types of rolling stock (two- and four-axle platforms, heaters, tanks, passenger cars, railway armored cars).

The exhibition, which occupies an area of more than two hectares, is a full-size model of the Uzlovaya station, the main elements of the station equipment of that time are shown here: a water tower, a crane for loading coal, water columns.

A unique large-scale exhibition was recreated from a photograph of the railway station of the city of Revda, Sverdlovsk Region. On five tracks steam locomotives of various types are presented, as well as four-axle ambulances and passenger cars, heaters, four- and two-axle platforms, tanks, as well as armored cars on the railway track.

It took only a year to create a railway exposition for the staff of the Museum of Military Equipment. The Sverdlovsk Railway provided great assistance in this. Railroad workers assisted in the search for exhibits and in their delivery. Moreover, the geography of finds is from St. Petersburg to the Far East.

Over the years, the museum has become one of the largest military historical museums in Russia!

The collection was collected literally bit by bit: private collectors handed over something to the museum, a considerable part of the equipment appeared due to connections with search units, and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation deserves special thanks. They tried to find really interesting equipment in the collection - one that has its own history of participation in hostilities. The tanks and guns, which are now in the museum, have marks from enemy shells and mines.

For all exhibits, you can "climb", get behind the wheel of a military jeep, lie down under the bottom of a battle tank, imagine yourself charging anti-aircraft guns. Created to preserve historical and cultural values, patriotic traditions of the Russian people, the museum of military equipment is interesting for everyone, especially for dads and sons.

1 from 16

For many years, an interesting museum has been operating in our city. The Museum of Cosmonautics. My father knows about him, many older people know. But do young people know? My colleague, Elena Mikhailovna, a doctor with 40 years of experience, said that earlier, when she was at school and then at the institute, on April 12, they were always taken to this museum or for demonstrations. Do you think this is wrong? It’s wrong to instill youth pride in their ancestors, grandfathers? Say-greed ... well, greed, it’s different .. oh well, this is a philosophical and controversial issue. But here is our spirituality, on which depends not only our future, but also our grandchildren, great-grandchildren and, in general countries, now completely destroyed. even in my example: well, I didn’t know about this museum. And I began to find out after I visited an abandoned summer house on Sovetskaya, comments went after my post about this visit, and so, bit by bit, I gathered information. And, today, Zhanna and I were lucky to visit this museum.
by the way, really lucky, because getting there just so is not very easy. The museum is located on the territory of the children's educational institution. "Cadets" And just like that they will not let you go. Therefore, if you want to visit the museum, you must first agree in advance. Address, working hours and telephones at the end of the post.

The basis for the creation of the future Cosmonautics Museum in Orenburg was the order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR in 1960. Initially, it was the Military Glory Room of the Orenburg Higher Military Aviation School for Pilots (OVVAUL). As the exhibits arrived, the search for Heroes of the Soviet Union - graduates of the school, in the mid-1960s, it grew into the Museum of the history of the school. Modern look The museum was acquired after the reconstruction of 1991.

Since October 1990, the museum has been run by a graduate of the flight school, reserve lieutenant colonel, Valery Ivanovich Lezhnin.
I am delighted with this man. With what love and warmth he talks about the exhibits.

Since 2007, the museum and the cadet corps share the building on 17 Chelyuskintsev Street with the revived Orenburg Theological Seminary, which was located here before the revolution. In November 2010, the Federal Law on the Return of Religious Property secured previous Orders of the Presidents of the Russian Federation. And by 2016, the entire building should go to the Orenburg diocese of the Orthodox Church.
In 2011, proclaimed the year of Russian cosmonautics, the federal authorities raised the question of transferring the museum to part of the building of the former flight school on Sovetskaya Street 1. After all, it was here that Gagarin studied, and navigators were trained for Chelyuskintsev.
And it seems that the theological seminary is beginning to prevail over the history of not only pride but also the people. Part of the building is collapsing.

Valery Ivanovich sadly watches the building in which he studied dies, which keeps the memory of the best graduates, achievements and victories of the Orenburg letka since the pre-war time.

Former State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov promised that everything will be repaired, in particular for the Cosmonautics Museum several floors, during a memorable visit to Orenburg. Museum exhibits from Chelyuskintsev street. And there is a spacesuit, Gagarin’s flight suit, and many other valuable exhibits. And to supplement them with no less valuable from other sources, including Moscow. Orenburg will rightfully receive a real museum. A special museum: Gagarin studied in this building, and through the Urals the airfield is visible, where Gagarin first took off in a combat aircraft.

And in the sky and now planes are flying. They are getting ready for the Victory Parade.

On the top floor, in a bright room, where once there was a chapel, our relics would look so good at the end of the tour! But the speaker is no longer the same, and the matter has not advanced a single step.

The building of the flight school on Sovetskaya 1. Valery Ivanovich spoke about this hall.

The museum has three rooms.
The first tells about the formation of a flying school, the successes of its pre-war graduates.

Among them, the most famous test pilot Valery Chkalov. He improved his flying skills at the Serpukhov Higher School of Air Combat (even before transferring it to Orenburg), and after the death of Orenburg for almost 20 years he bore his name.

Twice Hero Major S.I. Gritsevets. According to the Komsomol ticket, from April 1, 1931, he was a cadet of the 3rd Orenburg Military School of Pilots and Summerbags, which he graduated in 1932. The first award was for very high combat results, for which he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on February 22, 1939. Participation in the war in Spain, 1936-1939
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner a second time for fulfilling the task of gaining air supremacy previously captured by Japanese aviation during the conflict on the Khalkhin-Gol River, 1939.
For all the time of air battles on Khalkhin-Gol (June - August 1939), Gritsevets personally shot down 11 aircraft (all victories are confirmed).
Gritsevets tragically died on September 16, 1939 during the military exercises of the Red Army at the Bolbasovo airfield, near Orsha, when his airplane was rammed by another pilot's plane during taxiing before takeoff.
And this is the Hero of the Soviet Union fighter pilot Shamil Munasypovich Abdrashitov. His name is named after the street in our city.

On a Komsomol trip in May 1938, Shamil Abdrashitov was sent to study at the Orenburg Military Aviation School of Pilots, after which he served in the Far East in 1941.
Shamil Abdrashitov Took part in battles on the fronts of World War II from April 1943.
On October 28, 1943, Lieutenant Shamil Abdrashitov, as part of the Yakov four, established the location of the Nazi troops, thereby contributing to the successful release of the Askania-Nova state farm.
On the night of October 30, 1943, at the head of a group of fighters, Shamil Abdrashitov bombed the Novogrigoryevsky airfield.

On May 4, 1944, at the head of a group of six Yaks, Lieutenant Shamil Abdrashitov flew out on a combat mission to destroy Hitler's aviation at the airfield of Cape Khersones. During the bombardment of the airfield, the enemy suffered serious damage. After the execution of the order, when the group flew to the base, the plane of Shamil Abdrashitov began to pursue the enemy aircraft FW-190, which shot down a Soviet pilot. Abdrashitov managed to jump out of a burning plane with a parachute, but fell into the sea and drowned.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 2, 1944, for the courage and military prowess shown in battles with Nazi invaders, Lieutenant Shamil Munasypovich Abdrashitov was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. He was only 23 years old.

The second hall is completely devoted to the Great Patriotic War.

 09/07/2014

Once again, when the question arose of where to go for a weekend from Yekaterinburg, my friend suggested looking at the military equipment museum “Military Glory of the Urals” in Pyshma. According to many citizens who have been here on the tour, the exhibition is impressive: guns, tanks, planes and helicopters, produced in our country at different times, are in huge numbers in the open air and in a spacious three-story pavilion. I looked at the Internet photo reports, saw fighters hanging from the ceiling and realized: “I want to take a picture of this all!” No sooner said than done! I present to your attention a report on a walk to this wonderful place.

How to get to the Battle of Glory Museum of the Urals

The exhibition is located at: Sverdlovsk region, the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma, st. Alexandra Kozitsyna, 2. GPS coordinates of ticket offices for those who travel by car: 56.964872, 60.579882. In this case, the car is most conveniently left in the parking lot for visitors - 56.963237, 60.584817.

You can get here by public transport as follows: we get to the Mashinostroiteley metro station, cross the road and take the bus number 111 (or the minibus number 111, 111 “a”), which takes you to the Metallurgov stop in Pyshma .

If you want to get to the museum of military equipment by car, then along Cosmonauts Street you will leave Yekaterinburg and immediately get to Pyshma. We are driving straight, at the roundabout, turn left onto Sovetskaya Street (Petrov St. to the right) and drive along the main one. We pass the church, we move along the new flyover, to the left of which we see an outdoor area with airplanes, guns and a beautiful building of the exhibition hall.

Working hours

The playground on the street from May to October from Tuesday to Sunday is open from 10:00 to 22:00, and from November to April - until 18:00. The exhibition hall is open from 10:00 to 18:00, but on Mondays and Tuesdays it is a day off.

The price of an inside ticket is 150 for adults, 100 for pensioners and students, and 50 rubles for schoolchildren. On weekends, the cost is higher by 50 rubles. Access to the open exhibition is free.

As of 2017, the museum complex is divided into two parts: military and automotive equipment. Please note that the car exhibition is now located on the territory of the plant of JSC Uralelectromed, and you can get there only by special bus. The schedule is as follows: there - 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, 15:00, 16:30; back - 11:45, 13:15, 14:45, 16:15, 17:45.

Our tour to the Museum of military equipment in Pyshma

We calmly reached the right place. We paid attention to the cleanliness of the streets in Pyshma, as if this small town is not located in Russia. Parked the car and went to the entrance.

1. The memorial at the entrance to the museum of military equipment "Combat Glory of the Urals"

The exposition was founded in 2005, when on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, the monument was restored and two guns were installed. And then, with the assistance of the Uralelectromed plant, enthusiasts began to restore samples of military equipment and the open-air museum grew. Now there are more than 100 exhibits. The route begins with an inspection of artillery mounts, of which dozens, if not hundreds, of species can be seen here.

3. The Museum of Technology “Military Glory of the Urals” in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma. And the guns here, I must say, a lot ...

5. The military museum in the vicinity of Yekaterinburg. Pyshma. "The military glory of the Urals." It will take at least half an hour to examine only this part of the exposition

We arrived with a company of 4 people. While others carefully studied the information plates, your humble servant, like a madman, ran around the site and chose a beautiful angle. So, do not expect me to explain the photographs - what is what, you need to visit this institution again with a notebook and write down the names of the equipment.

7. Open air museum "Battle glory of the Urals" in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Gazik

In the backyard is an impressive parking lot with combat helicopters. You can look through the glass into the cabin of one of them.

8. In the cockpit of a combat helicopter

But, it is more interesting to inspect them from the outside. During a visit to the Russia Arms Expo exhibition at the Staratel training ground in Nizhny Tagil, you can watch demonstration flights of these machines, see how they fire missiles at ground targets, and special forces land.

9. The open-air museum. Suddenly a sorcerer arrives in a blue helicopter ...

11. During the Iraq crisis, the Americans scattered leaflets with a photo of Apache and the inscription: “Don't wait for me to come!” Our cars are also formidable ... Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

Now, every visitor who comes to Pyshma to an open-air museum considers it his duty to take a photo of the Buk anti-aircraft missile system, from which the unfortunate Boeing 777 was shot down in the Donetsk region. At the RAE-2013 exhibition, such a car drove around the training ground and showed guidance on the target.

11. Museum of military equipment in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma. Right - SAM "BUK"

It started to rain. We decided that we pass the time inside the exhibition hall. And I could not wait to see the planes flying over the heads of visitors as soon as possible. Entrance ticket price is 100 rubles. But the announcement hangs: "The cost of professional shooting is 1000 rubles." I have a carbon tripod and a photo backpack with me. I know that my lenses with a lens hood look hefty, so I decide to clarify:

- Girl, is it really that for a simple amateur DSLR, the resolution price is 1000 rubles?

- No, you can shoot calmly. This is the cost for various photo shoots.

- OK. Thanks!

The main building was renovated in 2013. The exhibition is spread over three floors. Here you can see old cars, a large collection of motorcycles, samples of small arms and military uniforms, how various medals and orders look. Real planes of the Second World War are suspended from the ceiling.

We pass the ticketer and freeze with delight - the plane over the cars. To take a photo, I squat down, put the camera on a marble floor and put a purse under the lens, the shutter release is in the “self-timer” mode. The "barking" is already causing frowns at the caretaker.

The camera shakes anyway, you need to get a tripod. I spread out my carbon fiber Sirui T-2204X-G20X and take a couple of pictures inside the pavilion.

12. Museum of military equipment in Pyshma. How to get there. Ticket price. On this shot I “slept” and had to continue to take it off hand.

- You are engaged in professional photography (for once, they called me a professional). Pay a thousand!

- Yes, my Nikon D5100 is an amateur DSLR ...

- What amateur photographer are you? You are a professional, the vigilant guard categorically disagrees and points to my huge reporting lens Nikkor 17-55 / 2.8, which looks even more impressive with a wound hood.

I had to, away from sin, put the tripod back in the case, and take all the following photos from my hands. To do this, "pulled up" ISO up to 800 units. To get into the frame more, he replaced the Nikkor 17-55 / 2.8 reporter with a Samyang 14 / 2.8 wide-angle lens.

When we looked at the pictures taken on Samyang 14 / 2.8 and the full-size Nikon D600 camera at the Museum of Wooden Architecture in Nizhny Sinyachikha, we argued in the comments about the beauty of the picture from a super wide-angle lens. Although you throw green tomatoes at me, I like the picture from it because of its specific geometric distortions!

14. Military Museum "Combat Glory of the Urals." The city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma (satellite of Yekaterinburg). Airplane

On the second floor of the museum of military equipment there is a huge number of "disabled women", many of whom I have not met before. For example, how do you like this unit?

Along the walls are "warriors" in uniforms from the time of Napoleon to the present day. As you can see, everything is peaceful here: Soviet and fascist soldiers no longer fight.

From above you can take a beautiful panorama of the exhibition of aviation equipment. The only pity is that the windows are dirty. And I had to take pictures, quietly pushing aside the curtain ... I would have got to another demonstration of flights of military aircraft. It’s a pity that the Yekaterinburg does not host an aerospace show.

As a child, I was fond of collecting plastic models of military aircraft. Several fighters and bombers hung under the ceiling. As you can see, big uncles play big toys. Inside the pavilion, fighters are suspended from the ceiling of the building.

19. Museum of technology. Someone’s child’s fun to hang planes over the ceiling continued into adulthood ...

20. Where to go on a weekend with children. Museum of military equipment "Combat Glory of the Urals". Guard

Although the wide-angle Samyang 14 / 2.8 and has a huge viewing angle, at CROP, nevertheless, its capabilities are not enough. I would have had a full-frame SLR Nikon D600, I would have shown how to take pictures in the museum! I would not have to cut the screw and wing of this aircraft.

I know that you, the reader, have bored you with your airplanes, but they are beautiful, huh?

22. Museum of military equipment in the Urals. Another fighter and that’s all ... 🙂

During the Great Patriotic War, a large number of machine-building factories evacuated from the European part of the country were located in the Urals. Once, a delegation from Syria arrived at our company with a visit. We all fell asleep when their leader stood up at the banquet and said a toast: "Let's drink for the land where the victory over the fascist invaders was forged!" It was forged in such workshops.

23. The layout of the workshop for the production of tanks at the exhibition of military equipment. Everything for the front ...

Finished the inspection of the internal exposition and again went outside, where by this time the rain had ended. Again I replaced the lens with a universal Nikkor 17-55 / 2.8.

25. Under the belly of a fighter

Military equipment is in several rows. Here and BMP, tanks and self-propelled guns, some "carts", etc.

25. Museum of open-air technology in Pyshma. Under the belly of a fighter

Planes of the Great Patriotic War ...

There is even a “submarine” and a combat boat.

28. In the museum of military equipment in Verkhnyaya Pyshma there are ships too, and a “submarine”

And such rarities are present.

30. Museum of technology. Pyshma. How to get there. Tanks? 😉

But such a device, too, I had never come across before.

32. What to do in Yekaterinburg for the weekend. Go to the open air museum "Combat Glory of the Urals". Same way…

Well, I think, “Pyshma. Museum of military equipment ”- a good answer to the question:“ Where to go and what to see on the weekend in the vicinity of Yekaterinburg? ”Later, I went on a trip to a similar institution in Germany: Sinsheim Auto & Technik Museum. Of course, the Germans have much more territory, financial opportunities and the exhibition looks even more interesting. For example, there you can not only see how the supersonic Concord and TU-144 airliners look, but also go inside, feel the time ... Nevertheless, the “Military Glory of the Urals” looks decent against the backdrop of Sinsheim.
