The fastest production cars. Which cars are the fastest in the world - Rating

Many people in the world love cool cars and fast driving, so they are interested in which cars are in the TOP 10 in 2017 the fastest cars in the world. Since speed has been and remains the most objective indicator of the performance of a sports car, overcoming new frontiers is the main task of engineers of leading sports car companies.

Rating of the fastest cars in the world in 2017.

10 Noble M600

The car, designed by British engineers, is equipped with a light and very durable body made of carbon fiber and stainless steel. This luxury car is equipped with an 8-cylinder 4.4-liter powertrain. The stunning aerodynamic characteristics of the car, combined with a super-powerful engine, according to engineers, allow you to overcome the barrier of 360 km / h. However, during the test, the real speed was lower, because the pilot felt unsafe vibrations at a speed of 346 km / h. Nevertheless, the car was on the 10th place in the list of the fastest cars in the world in 2017.

Noble M600, like many sports cars of the British school, is characterized by a relatively small engine capacity with convincing dynamic characteristics. The cost of the car is also very moderate - $ 330,000.

  • Motor: 720 hp
  • Maximum speed: 370 km / h

Elegant Italian sports car, equipped with a powerful unit V12 from AMG, is a luxury coupe. The car successfully combines excellent handling and amazing dynamics.

The Pagani Huayra also boasts a lightweight and sturdy carbon body that delivers high aerodynamic performance. Moreover, among Italian supercars this one is one of the most authentic and expressive from a design point of view.

Italian cars represented by Pagani Huayra once again confirm the title of the fastest and most expensive. For this car will have to pay more than 1,200,000 dollars.

8 Zenvo ST1

  • Motor: 1205 hp
  • Maximum speed: 375 km / h

An unexpected result on the racetrack in the fight for the title of the fastest car in 2017 was demonstrated by a Danish sports car with the laconic name Zenvo ST1. The machine is equipped with a 1200-horsepower V8 engine, the volume of which is 6.8 liters. At the same time, the “Dane” demonstrates a maximum speed of 375 kilometers per hour exclusively on perfect road surface. So on our roads you will not see this sports car. But not only for this reason.

Such vehicles produced only 15 copies. The price is unknown since the cars were made by reservation. At the same time, Zenvo ST1 undoubtedly deserves attention.

  • Motor: 627 h.p.
  • Maximum speed: 386 km / h

McLaren F1 is a true legend in the world of racing cars. The ingenious brainchild of talented engineers remains one of the fastest cars in the world in history. Equipped with just a 627-horsepower V12 engine, McLaren F1 has been breaking records for years. For more than ten years, this car with a selfish driver's seat in the middle remains for many the number one.

Among British sports cars, this is the fastest. The price of the McLaren F1 is quite high - $ 970,000, but any owner will tell you - F1 is worth the money spent.

6

  • Motor: 806 hp
  • Maximum speed: 405 km / h

Koenigsegg CCX is the fastest car made by a Swedish company. The car easily passes the barrier of 400 km / h. At the same time, experts note one minus of the Koenigsegg CCX - a lack of downforce due to the lack of a spoiler. Optionally, you can buy a car with a carbon spoiler, but in its stock configuration, the car is deprived of it, since in this case the maximum speed decreases.

According to Forbes, a beautiful car will cost the buyer $ 545,000 - quite moderate money for a hypercar, which in 2017 takes the honorable 6th place among the fastest production cars in the world.

5

  • Motor: 1120 hp
  • Maximum speed: 414 km / h

The five fastest cars in the world in 2017 is opened by the 9ff GT9-R sports car. Cars of the German brand Porsche rarely participate in high-speed ratings, since their main “trick” is in perfect handling. However, in the special version of the 9ff GT9-R, the famous Porsche 911 appears in a completely different light. Tuned by the well-known 9ff studio, this car has become a real car, capable of competing at maximum speed even with the Bugatti. The price of this "toy" is only 695,000 dollars.

4

  • Motor: 1287 hp
  • Maximum speed: 430 km / h

This supercar was created by the American company Shelby Super Cars and is the only representative of the American auto industry in the ranking. Engineers equipped the car with a V-8 engine, producing over 1200 horsepower.

6.3-liter powertrain in the absence of electronic assistants is a real test of driving skills. Throughout the list, SSC Ultimate Aero is one of the most dangerous cars for beginners. Its price is $ 655,000.

3

  • Motor: 1200 hp
  • Maximum speed: 431 km / h

Honorary third place Bugatti veyron  Super Sport. This is not surprising, since it is difficult to imagine the rating of the fastest cars in the world in 2017 without the brainchild of the Italian company Bugatti. This car is rightfully considered one of the fastest production cars of our time. Its 8-liter power unit type W-16 produces 1,200 horsepower. Engineers also took care of aerodynamics, which allows the car to reach a top speed of 431 km / h.

The cost of this luxury supercar is $ 2,400,000. The high price is formed not only by a high-performance engine, but also by the expensive materials used to decorate the interior.

2 Hennessey Venom GT

  • Motor: 1244 hp
  • Maximum speed: 435 km / h

This sports coupe, whose body is made of carbon fiber, the test pilot managed to accelerate to an incredible speed of 435 km / h. Testing of the car took place on the territory of the space center. The 7-liter V8 engine, delivering more than 1,240 horsepower, showed amazing dynamics at the test site. On a regular track, this speed is likely to be slightly lower.

Compared to the Bugatti, this car can be called a budget option. The price is only 1,000,000 dollars. It is worth noting that for several years Hennessey Venom GT was officially recognized as the most fast car  in the world among serial cars.

1 Bugatti Chiron

  • Motor: 1,500 hp
  • Maximum speed: 463 km / h

Due to its outstanding speed characteristics, one of the latest brainchildren of the Italian company, Bugatti Chiron becomes the leader and receives the title of the fastest car in the world in 2017. The creation of the hypercar of engineers was inspired by the success of the Veyron model, which more than once occupied a leading position in the ratings of the fastest sports cars. The W16 engine, developing up to 1,500 horsepower, is able to disrupt the car from the start and accelerate to 100 km / h in just over 2 seconds - a result comparable to racing cars and superbikes. Given the impressive weight of the car, these figures are amazing.

A feature of the car is that for all its high dynamic characteristics, comparable with the Forumula 1 cars, the car does not require special driving skills. It’s easy to manage, and even an inexperienced driver can handle it.

Conclusions:  Obviously, the formed TOP includes both relatively affordable and truly expensive cars, whose price exceeds 1 million dollars. It is interesting that, having been the fastest car in the world for more than a year, the Bugatti is gradually catching up with more affordable cars. Moreover, there is a tendency towards the gradual conquest of traditionally Italian paths by Scandinavian and American supercars. And, of course, such unsurpassed leaders as McLaren F1 and Bugatti Veyron are stably “keeping in line”.

2017 fastest production car review - Bugatti Chiron

Recently, good news spread around the world: the Hennessey Venom GT set a new speed record, accelerating to 435 km / h. This happened on the runway of the NASA Center at Cape Canaveral in Florida. In this regard, RBC.Styl made the top 10 fastest production cars, which in addition look good and cost a lot.

1. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Maximum speed:  431 km / h

Hennessey Venom GT could have appeared at this place, but we will be subjective. Bugatti Veyron - the undisputed king of the roads, a miracle of engineering, the owner of a powerful engine and perfect body shapes. In addition, this car is considered one of the most luxurious in the world. Inside the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is trimmed with the most the best materials. True, the car weighs about two tons - a lot for a hypercar. In 2010, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport was listed in the Guinness Book of Records after it managed to accelerate to 431 km / h. However, later the car lost the title of the fastest in the world, since on the serial versions the speed limiter was set at 415 km / h. Therefore, a non-serial car took part in the record race.

Hypercar Hennessey Venom GT manufactured by the Texas tuning studio Hennessey Performance Engineering based on the body Lotus Exige. A year ago, the model managed to accelerate to 427.6 km / h and, thus, took the palm of the aforementioned Bugatti. As for the recently set speed record of 435 km / h, representatives of the Guinness Book of Records refused to fix it. The fact is that the car had to drive a given distance in both directions, while the Hennessey Venom GT drove it in only one.

3. Koenigsegg Agera R

Maximum speed:418 km / h

The fact that Koenigsegg is on our list of “fastest” as many as two models says a lot about this Swedish automaker. Agera R debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011 and impressed everyone with its amazing design. Further - more: in September of that year, the car accelerated from zero to one hundred km / h in 14.53 seconds, thereby setting a record for translational speed, which, however, was soon beaten by the aforementioned Hennessey Venom GT. The manufacturing company claims that theoretically the model is capable of 440 km / h, but officially this has not yet been confirmed.

What's under the hood?  Agera R accelerates to fantastic speeds thanks to the proprietary 5-liter turbocharged V8 engine with a return of 1,140 km / h.

Price:  $ 1.6 million

4. SSC Ultimate Aero TT

Maximum speed:  412 km / h

US manufacturers love to create all the “most-most”, but in the market the most fast cars Europeans are still leading. The SSC Ultimate Aero TT model was created by the American company Shelby Super Cars in order to break the speed record, and in fact the car succeeded. In 2007, the model showed an average result of 412 km / h during testing and was entered in the Guinness Book of Records. However, a few years later this figure was beaten by the same Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and Hennessey Venom GT.

In the world of hypercars, this name is not as famous as the same Bugatti or Koenigsegg, but the ability of the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo to accelerate to 399 km / h attracted the attention of representatives of the automotive community to the model. The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo was created by Saleen Incorporated, an American sports car manufacturer, and is inferior in design to such "beauties" as the Lamborghini or Pagani. However, we are interested in this model precisely from the point of view of speed, but with speed everything is in order here.

What's under the hood?  To its maximum, the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo accelerates a charged 7-liter Ford V8 engine with twin turbocharging and a return of 750 hp.

Price:  in 2005, when the model appeared on the market, its cost was $ 585 thousand.

Price:  from $ 545 thousand

7. McLaren F1

Maximum speed:386 km / h

This model needs no introduction. Despite the fact that about two decades have passed since the appearance of the McLaren F1, the car is still one of the most recognizable supercars on the market. Prior to F1, cars of a similar class set speed records with a minimum difference in performance. McLaren also managed to break the record of his predecessor with a gap of 43.4 km / h. This was the first racing model with the right to move on public roads, on which the driver's seat was installed in the center of the cab.

What's under the hood?  The BMW twelve-cylinder engine tuned to 6.1-liter, with a return of 627 “horses”.

Price:  Initially, the cost of the model was about $ 1 million.

8. Zenvo ST1

Maximum speed:375 km / h

Denmark is one of the most environmentally friendly countries, and its inhabitants are obsessed with low-emission vehicles. Which, of course, contributes little to the development of industries creating supercars. In the mid-2000s, the only Zenvo Automotive company of this class was founded here. The prototype model ST1 was introduced in 2009.

What's under the hood?  Zenvo ST1 is equipped with a 7-liter eight-cylinder engine with a return of 1104 “horses” and a torque of 1424 N / m - a good indicator for a car weighing 1590 kg.

Price:  from $ 1.1 million

9. Noble M600

Maximum speed:  362 km / h

The Noble M600 cannot be considered a masterpiece of design art in the automotive industry, but its ability to accelerate to 362 km / h is admirable. The car was created by the British company Noble Automotive, which appeared on the market in 1999. The M600, the sixth model in the Noble Automotive lineup, was introduced in 2009. The machine was assembled by hand, and materials such as stainless steel and carbon fiber were used to create it.

What's under the hood?  Under the hood, the M600 rumbles an eight-cylinder engine with 650 hp. From zero to one hundred kilometers per hour, the model accelerates in 3.2 seconds.

10. Gumpert Apollo

Maximum speed:360 km / h

The manufacturer of this car is a little-known German company called Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur. Experts from the Munich Technical Institute and the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences were involved in the development of the model. The car was launched into serial production in 2005 and quickly became famous thanks to its ability to accelerate to 360 km / h.

What's under the hood?  Biturbo version of the engine of the Audi A8 with a return of 650 "horses". The weight of the machine is 1200 kg, which allows it to develop such a speed.

Price:  The cost of the first samples was $ 340 thousand.

Now on the Internet you can find offers for the sale of cars for $ 900 thousand. By the way, the manufacturing company itself was declared bankrupt a year ago.

Cars are constantly being upgraded, which leads to their acceleration. And although in life a simple driver rarely exceeds the mark on the speedometer of 150 kilometers, everyone is interested in the question - what are the fastest cars in the world.

It is worth noting that the ratings are constantly changing. The well-known Bugatti Veyron, which for several years was considered the fastest and most expensive car in the world, still shifted from its pedestal. Competition in this segment is carried out for a split second, because in order to enter the ranking of the most fast cars, you need to not only develop the highest speed, but also have a number of excellent driving characteristics.

The fastest car at the end of 2013 - the beginning of 2014 was recognized as an American sports car, which was specially created with the aim of breaking the world speed record. Moreover, the developers claim that this car is serial and can be used in everyday life (unless of course you can buy it for a million dollars).

SSC Tuatara set a new speed record - 443 km / h, while acceleration to hundreds takes only 2.5 seconds. To achieve such results, the car was equipped with a V-shaped seven-liter twin-turbocharged engine. The power of the unit is 1350 horsepower.

The second line of the ranking is sport car  from America - . This car can be awarded as the most dynamic car - it accelerates to the first hundred in 2.2 seconds, and the mark of 300 km / h appears on the speedometer in 13.6 seconds. The maximum speed that this sports car could develop was 427.6 km / h.

The two-seater roadster has exclusive technical data - a 7-liter biturbo engine with a capacity of 1200 horsepower. The price is also appropriate - 960 thousand dollars.

The third place is taken by the Swedes with their updated serial supercar. I must say that this model could take the first line in the ranking, since under optimal conditions it can squeeze speed at 453 km / h, however, in terms of dynamics it is inferior to previous models - acceleration time to hundreds takes 2.9 seconds. That is why it is in third place with an indicator of 440 km / h.

The merit of the Koenigsegg Agera 2014 R is also the fact that its 5-liter 1115-horsepower engine can run on gasoline and bio-fuel. True, the price is also not comic - 2.5 million dollars.

Already in fourth place, the fastest production car has shifted from the top of the rating. The management of the Volkswagen concern has currently suspended the release of this hypercar, but the records have remained behind it - 427 km / h on the first lap and 434 on the second. Although in serial models there is a speed limiter at 415 km / h.

The eight-liter engine of this hypercar consists of 16 cylinders, develops power of 1200 hp, acceleration to 100 takes 2.5 seconds. A car on the farm will cost a lot - 37 liters of gasoline in the city and 23 on the highway. Well, the cost starts from 1.6 to 2.5 million dollars.

In fifth place SSC Ultimate Aero - predecessor of the leader of the SSC Tuatara rating. The speed record for this supercar was 425 km / h.

It was delivered back in 2007, but Bugatti managed to get around this record, after which the updated SSC Tuatara appeared. Among all these grandees, Ultimate Aero looks like a rather modest production car, which will cost the owner $ 500 thousand.

The sixth place again belongs to the Swedes, who, who travels on biofuel, easily accelerates to 402 km / h. This is facilitated by a lightweight aluminum casing and an eight-liter 4.7-liter engine with 806 hp.

takes 7th place. This racing car  GT-1 class has the best ratio of weight and power. Cars are made by hand and will cost the customer 580 thousand dollars. The maximum speed is 400 km / h.

it was considered the fastest in the world in the early 2000s, but now it is in 8th place. The maximum speed is 382 km / h.

Supercar introduced in 2011. The power of its 6.5-liter engine allows it to accelerate to 350 km / h, and therefore the car took ninth place.

Well, Italian is in the last line of the rating, with an indicator of 350 km / h, and a speed of acceleration to the first hundred - 3.6 seconds.
