"Three Musketeers - Friendship" essay. The Three Musketeers Essay based on the novel by Dumas “The Three Musketeers The Three Musketeers Arguments friendship

At the time of the total book deficit, every self-respecting teenager of the country of the Soviets, in order not to be considered a pariah among his friends, by hook or by crook achieved his cherished dream - he read The Three Musketeers, thereby joining the circle of connoisseurs of the work of the great falsifier of the history of Alexander Dumas, father, even not assuming that there is also another writer - Alexander Dumas-son.

However, why "The Three Musketeers"? Already at the end of the first part of the novel, d "Artagnan also becomes such" by the merciful order "of the king, and the bold trinity turns into a legitimate four. But these are, in fact, details that Dumas always attached little importance to. to study a book of more than six hundred pages, when almost every month on one of the numerous TV channels a free arrangement of the novel, interpreted by director Jungvald-Khilkevich, under the not entirely accurate title "D" Artagnan and the Three Musketeers, is spinning ... with the chorus "It's time-let's-rejoice in our lifetime ..."

We will try to follow the truth and with a few strokes refute the established opinion about the nobility and courage of the "magnificent four", embodying courage, selfless devotion, generosity and other captivating qualities of bosom friends.

Let's start with an impartial characterization of each. First, Athos. On closer examination, this is a degraded drunkard, a cynical misanthrope who tries to forget his past and does not think about the future, retaining a feigned touch of noble nobility, since the count's title obliges him to do so.

Porthos is a glutton, a drunkard, a veil and a gigolo of a skinny, not the first freshness, but a rich prosecutor, Madame Coqunard. Its main advantage is brute physical strength, which corresponds to a complete absence of mind and super-dimensional vanity.

Aramis is a ladies' man, a clever Jesuit, one of the forerunners of the "free masons", better known as Masons, whose main goal was to achieve universal power. For Aramis, approaching the goal justifies any means.

And finally - the soul, the accumulator of actions and ideas of the cheerful company d "Artagnan. Dodger, rake, sloven and sly, thug and deceiver.

Let us illustrate what has been said with references to the novel, upon careful reading of which everything that has been said above appears clearly. Friends grab their swords at every convenient and not quite occasion - just to fight, to amuse themselves with daring fencing. They fight less with the enemy's power, more with their compatriots, since they are not of their clan. Right and left, they inflict wounds and mutilations on the noble Chevalier only for the reason that the latter are Cardinal Richelieu's guards. The very same Armand Jean du Plessis Richelieu, head of the Royal Council, who is essentially the de facto ruler of France under the weak-willed and mediocre Louis XIII, who is not mentioned in every encyclopedia.

The Musketeers, led by d "Artagnan, get involved in a" suspension "intrigue, defending the interests of the Duke of Buckingham, the all-powerful minister and favorite of the English king, who has committed adultery with the Queen of France Anne of Austria. Dumas, and in fact England was the age-old enemy.

In the race for suspensions and the behavior of Athos, Porthos and Aramis, who did not make it to England, in the places of their forced stops, all those not quite noble features that we have already mentioned are really manifested.

And who is d'Artagnan himself? He enters into friendly relations with the enemy of his king, leads the representatives of real power - the cardinal's guardsmen by the nose, rescues the unfaithful queen from trouble, seducing another man's wife - Constance Bonacieux, who is, in fact, a state It does not stop there: the leaping lust does not give rest - and now, under someone else's disguise, he climbs into bed with my lady, seducing her maid Katie in between, mocks the cuckold Bonacieux, who faithfully serves the cardinal, and therefore, the legitimate power, continues from time to time string the guardsmen on the sword.

And then the bosom friends commit a completely low act - without trial or investigation, exclusively of their own free will, together with Lord Winter, they execute my lady. The very milady who is the executor of Richelieu's will, who identifies the power in France, the same milady who at one time the drunkard Athos did not manage to get rid of. Five men, hung from head to toe with weapons, plus a professional executioner and a defenseless woman - it’s somehow difficult to link all this with nobility, courage and courage.

All this taken together is called differently - treachery and recklessness, imitation and betrayal, treachery in the end.

As for sincere friendship, friends-friends fled for twenty years and did not see each other all this time after the events described in the novel among themselves. It seems that their conscience has leaped, they have not yet lost it.

Perhaps what was written above is not at all indisputable. Perhaps. But this opportunity has become a reality for the reader because at a young age he adores heroes who succeed in everything, who live a full-blooded and beautiful life. He, too, wants to live such a life, he also wants everything to succeed. Why not - here he is an example on more than six hundred pages.

And therefore - vivat, musketeers!

Surely there is no adult in the world who has not read the book "The Three Musketeers" by Alexandre Dumas. This story is about the brave d'Artagnan and his three friends - Aramis, Porthos and Athos. Most often, this work becomes the first that really takes the soul and instills a real taste for reading.

You can download the book at the bottom of the page in fb2, epub, rtf, txt formats.

The emotions experienced while reading this book are remembered for a lifetime. The Three Musketeers shape the perception of both real fascinating literature and human relationships. You don't have to come back to this work again and again, but all the relationships of the heroes of other books will willy-nilly be compared with what is written in The Three Musketeers.

There is no point in retelling the plot of this book, because most have heard of it. And yet it will not be possible to bypass it - at least in general terms. So, a young Gascon nobleman d'Artagnan appears in Paris in the hope of success and glory. Having met Porthos, Athos and Aramis, d'Artagnan discovers noble, moral and, most importantly, true friends. Since his meeting with Constance Bonacieux, a lady close to Anna of Austria herself, the life of the young Gascon has completely changed. He falls into the epicenter of enmity between Cardinal Richelieu's guards and His Majesty's Musketeers. In addition, d'Artagnan gets involved in political intrigues, on which he and the royal family now depend.

Description of the life of the times of Louis XIII, the customs of court ladies and gentlemen, the play of life and death, honor and dishonor - all this really attracts with its romance. The book "Three Musketeers" captures, immerses the reader in the world of adventure, gives a lot of colorful impressions and emotions. Yes, the intensity of passions here truly makes you empathize, rejoice and grieve along with the heroes.

Alexander Dumas, by the way, is simply a master of unexpected plot twists. He will always be able to present the reader with something that literally gives the skin goosebumps, and this is at the moment when everything is completely calm.

Friendship in The Three Musketeers is just the standard of this feeling. Without sugariness and pretentious excesses - a true friendship, to which each of us should strive. In addition, each musketeer allegedly complements the team: Athos - with his honor, Aramis - with his mind, Porthos - with strength, and, of course, with courage - d'Artagnan.

Love, like everything else in the life of the brave musketeers, is subject to duty. Duty and honor always come first. Nevertheless, Alexandre Dumas shows love as something completely crazy and passionate, albeit without the usual "seasoning" - sweetness.

The Three Musketeers is definitely one of those. It is worth growing up on it, learning about the world and real, noble feelings.

Quotes from the book "The Three Musketeers" Alexandre Dumas

Finally, his honesty was impeccable, and this is in that age when the military so easily entered into a deal with faith and conscience, lovers - with the harsh scrupulousness inherent in our time, and the poor - with the seventh commandment of God. In short, Athos was a very extraordinary person.

But Aramis, although it might seem that he had no secrets, was all shrouded in mystery. Sparingly answering questions concerning others, he carefully bypassed everything related to himself.

Porthos, as we have already learned, was the direct opposite of Athos: he not only talked a lot, but talked loudly. It is necessary, however, to give him justice: he did not care whether they listened to him or not. He talked for his own pleasure - for the pleasure of listening to himself. He spoke decisively about everything, with the exception of the sciences, citing a deep disgust, which, according to him, scientists had instilled in him since childhood.

This worthy gentleman - we, of course, mean Athos - was very taciturn. For five or six years now he had lived in the closest friendship with Porthos and Aramis. During this time, friends more than once saw a smile on his face, but they never heard his laugh. His words were short and expressive, he always said what he wanted to say, and nothing more: no embellishments, patterns and beauty. He spoke only of the essential, without touching on the details.

... the duke glanced at the young man from time to time, as if not believing that such prudence, such courage and devotion could be combined with the appearance of a young man who was hardly twenty years old.

The shade of mystery that enveloped Athos made this man even more interesting, who, even in moments of complete intoxication, was never betrayed by his eyes or tongue, despite the subtlety of the questions asked to him.

During the crossing, my lady succeeded in unraveling the rope with which her legs were tied; when the boat reached the shore, my lady jumped to the ground with a light movement and began to run.
But the ground was wet; climbing the slope, my lady slipped and fell to her knees.
A superstitious thought struck her: she decided that heaven refused to help her, and froze in the position in which she was, bowing her head and folding her arms.

Thesis No one knows what kind of wound can be left by enmity in the heart of a person or even an entire nation. Friendship is a valuable gift a person must use for the right purposes. It not only brings people closer, but helps to understand that all controversial issues can be resolved peacefully. Finding a true friend is not an easy task, but it is much easier to lose him, because of your unwillingness to help him or understand him, so you should be more careful with friendship and eradicate enmity in any of its manifestations.

Universal introduction. Friendship and enmity ... What is it? These are constant companions of both an individual person and society as a whole. So, in the life of each of us there are people whom we can confidently call friends. These are those whom we fully trust, relations with which are based on sincerity, mutual sympathy, common interests and hobbies. But life is ambiguous, therefore it makes us go through a series of tests, which include enmity, hostility, friendship, love. In my essay, I would like to reflect on the topic (the statement of the full name, answer the question that is relevant at all times)….

And a person who knows how to value friendship, knows how to overcome conflicts, does not want to sow enmity, is worthy of this gift. The main thing in friendship is the law of humanity. Friendship builds, but enmity only destroys. And I really want to believe that the cult of holy friendship will flourish among people living in our time, as in the time of A.S. Pushkin. After all, living without real friends is very bad.

Friendship is a personal disinterested relationship between people, based not only on common interests, but also on sincerity, trust and mutual assistance. I believe that friendship is a gift that, unfortunately, not everyone has.

The proposed text (there should be an example from the text proposed above) speaks of both betrayal and friendship and mutual assistance. Kostya, who did not abandon his friend in trouble, acted honestly and nobly, but Lev, who remained in the car and even did not share the food with his comrades, acted very badly. he left the guys and did not want to help them, although he was in the same distress as they were.

Another striking example of friendship is the work of Alexandre Dumas "The Three Musketeers". There, four loyal friends never abandoned each other under any circumstances, they always came to the rescue and were reliable support for each other in everything.

Pythagoras said: "Friends have everything in common, and friendship is equality." After all, he is right! friends should not have someone more important or better. Everyone is equal, everyone has everything in common. To have a good friend is a great happiness.

  1. (48 words) True friends are always sensitive to each other. The hero of the novel of the same name by A.S. Pushkin, Eugene Onegin, allowed himself a cruel joke in relation to his friend Lensky. He did not take into account that he could take everything to heart, and a rash act turned into a tragedy. Their relationship was not true friendship.
  2. (48 words) Unfortunately, often under the pretext of friendship, one person uses another. Such a case occurs in the story of A.I. Solzhenitsyn's "Matryonin Dvor". Matryona's friends, taking advantage of her kindness, constantly ask her to help with the housework - of course, for free. But they know very well that she already has a lot to do, but their own benefit is more important to them.
  3. (38 words) An example of a sincere, tender friendship is the communication between Makar Devushkin and Varvara Dobrosyolova from F.M. Dostoevsky. Despite poverty and difficulties in life, each of the heroes cares more about the well-being of the other than about his own, which is reflected in their touching letters.
  4. (59 words) "There is no use in who forgets old friends!" - so says Maxim Maksimych, one of the characters in the novel by M.Yu. Lermontov's "A Hero of Our Time". He considered Pechorin a close friend and was very glad to meet again, but in return received only a cold handshake. This upset the poor old man to tears. By the way, Pechorin was punished by fate: he remained alone until the end of his life.
  5. (49 words) A somewhat unusual friendship arose between the main characters of the novel by Ilf and Petrov "The Twelve Chairs". It would seem that Ostap and Ippolit Matveyevich are not only companions in a common cause, but also rivals in the struggle for precious booty - however, they go all the way together, and only at the end the proximity of the goal destroys their friendly relationship.
  6. (46 words) True friendship implies equality. In W. Golding's novel Lord of the Flies, children left without adults quickly divided into leaders and subordinates, and only a few retained the ability to be friends. One of these characters is the boy Piggy, who does not abandon his friend Ralph, even when he turns from the leader into an outcast.
  7. (48 words) It is known that a friend is known in trouble. The hero of Mine Reed's novel "The Headless Horseman", Maurice Gerald was falsely accused of a terrible crime, but could not prove anything due to his dimmed consciousness. His comrade, the hunter Zebulon Stump, did everything possible to restore justice, and he succeeded: the real culprit was punished.
  8. (57 words) In A. de Saint-Exupery's story “The Little Prince”, the words of Fox describe what friendship should be: “We will need each other. You will be the only one in the whole world for me. And I will be one for you in the whole world ... ". He also tells the Little Prince that when parting with a friend, bitterness is inevitable, but at the same time, pleasant memories will remain forever.
  9. (41 words) The idea of the importance of friendship permeates JK Rowling's fantasy novel Harry Potter. Supporting each other in grief and joy, the heroes can more easily cope with personal problems and overcome life's difficulties. But most importantly: only together they form a force capable of resisting evil.
  10. (41 words) The story of friendship between a man and a wolf is told by J. London in the book "White Fang". The most amazing thing is that people caused White Fang a lot of harm, but the kindness of the last owner worked a miracle with the wild beast. He did not remain in debt and became a devoted protector of the whole family.
  11. Real life examples

    1. (51 words) The best friendship is that which is forever. But I know of a more striking case when even death did not become the reason for its end. Two of my father's acquaintances fought together in a hot spot. One died, and the second is still (and more than twenty years have passed!) Helping his friend's elderly mother in memory of him.
    2. (53 words) There is a good parable about friendship. It is about an old man with a dog who walked for a long time and were very tired. Suddenly an oasis appeared on the way, but the animals were not allowed to go there. The old man did not abandon his friend and walked past. They soon reached the farm, and the owner let them both in. A real comrade in trouble will not leave.
    3. (33 words) In L. Hallström's film "Hachiko", a real friendship arises between the heroes, which defeated death. The professor has given shelter to a stray puppy who is used to meeting the savior from work. The faithful dog was waiting for its master even when he died.
    4. (48 words) It's no secret that the strongest friendship is born during the student period. Indeed, at this time people have already formed as individuals, therefore, connections are usually established between those who are close in spirit. It is known that Boris Yeltsin met with former classmates every year and did not change his tradition, even when he became president.
    5. (43 words) They say, "a friend is known in trouble." This is clearly seen in the Russian film adaptation of Dumas's novel The Three Musketeers. Yuri Ryashentsev wrote excellent songs praising the fighting brotherhood of heroes. Each of them, covering his comrade, intoned: "I will delay them, nothing!". In this phrase, all the power of male friendship breaks through.
    6. (48 words) There are many films dedicated to the topic of friendship. One of my favorites is Yolki-1 by Timur Bekmambetov. In it, an orphan girl named Varya unwittingly lied that her dad was the president, and would wish her a Happy New Year. So what's now? Fortunately, Vova's faithful friend comes to the rescue, and thanks to his efforts, the impossible becomes possible.
    7. (54 words) Nowadays, almost every person has several dozen or even hundreds of friends on social networks. Does this count as friendship? I am sure that yes, if you communicate a lot with the person, and it brings you joy. Moreover, with some of the Internet acquaintances I was lucky to meet in reality, and this only strengthened our affection.
    8. (49 words) A common saying on the Internet is: "A friend is not someone who communicates with you in their free time, but someone who frees up time to communicate with you." We can agree with this: when a person sacrifices his deeds for the sake of another, it means that he appreciates him; and if not - most likely, it is just a friendship that does not last long.
    9. (45 words) Friendship is incompatible with selfishness - this is a fact. My friend Anya is a good example for me. I know I can always count on her. Once I urgently needed someone to come and sit with my younger brother while I was away. Anya agreed without hesitation, although she lives on the other side of the city.
    10. (48 words) You can be friends not only with people. Aren't our pets really friends? My dog is always waiting for me from school, and if he sees that I am upset about something, he tries to console me, for example, puts his head on his knees or calls me to play. And vice versa, when she sees that I am busy, she will not interfere.
    11. Interesting? Keep it on your wall!
