On this day, Dima did not sleep during the day, looking forward to the arrival of guests and new toys as a gift. He ran around the rooms, but did not forget about his favorite educational series on the Sesame Street disc. Recently, he fell in love with the series very much, and now Dima was ready to watch it day and night, even around the clock. And adults were preparing for the holiday.
A lot was planned, but here is what we ended up with:

This is how we rush through this life, pouring all the colors of the rainbow. Our constant friends are fairy tales, songs, smiles and laughter! :-) The way is open - the green light of the semaphore is on. A flying angel warns everyone that a train called "Dimasik" is rushing ahead! This train has been on the road for 2 whole years. During this time, where he just did not visit, that he just did not see, whom he did not meet. The merry locomotive of time leaves behind a path on which all the small steps and achievements of the still little man are imprinted. But all the steps are very bright, very important and most importantly, so funny and interesting that now the locomotive will never stop, continuing its journey further and further, leading to new successes, to new joys and smiles!
Festive table
The children had their own, children's, table, on which there was nothing:
- fly agaric mushrooms from eggs and tomato - for each child on a plate;
- chocolate sausage;
- canapes of their fruits on skewers (a little of them can be seen behind the cake);
- salad of colorful pasta-bows;
- Birthday cake. 
Recipe:
The cake is made from "Nezhenka" cookies, inside everything is smeared with "Nezhenka" fruit puree (from Frutonyan), and on top - "Agusha" cream curd. From decorations: wheels made of twisted marmalade; headlights, lanterns - marmalade Fruit garden; in the back - mushrooms-cookies and fruits from marmalade. The number "2" is laid out from the "M&Ms" dragee).
The adults were served rolls with salmon, crab sticks and cucumber.
Another well-forgotten new/old dish: small pizzas. 
Recipe: Ordinary bagels are soaked in warm milk for about 40-50 minutes (until softening, but so that they do not fall apart yet. Then they are laid out on a baking sheet, generously greased with vegetable oil, and minced meat is put inside each lamb with spices to taste. You can also lightly sprinkle grated cheese and / or herbs (depending on your capabilities and desires) Then you need to bake it all in the oven for 15-20 minutes and ... you're done!
All dishes for the birthday were selected from recipes for the children's menu (except for the adult table, of course), so that the children did not have to be persuaded ...
Holiday... gifts...
Fun reigned from the very beginning. Children especially had fun - looking at the gifts of the birthday boy and immediately starting to play with them.
Dimas was presented with a variety of gifts:
- gouache, brushes, sketchbook;
- a set for blowing a pattern onto fabric;
- a set for drawing: seals, stencils, felt-tip pens;
- multi-level parking;
- game "Little driver";
- a small model "BMW" (probably with a hint of a future real BMW);
- beautiful suit;
- "Talking alphabet" for learning the alphabet;
- and... a gift from godparents (his parents will remember him for a long time) - 
huge truck, about a meter long!
You won’t even ride it in our apartment, it just doesn’t fit! But when it gets warmer, we will go outside with it - ride it and play sand truck, because. a huge spatula and ladle are also attached to it.
Like I said, the kids got mad right from the start. When everyone was invited to the table, they had a quick bite to eat and continued the work they had begun...
The gang of boys, led by Anya the leader, plucked the birthday cake right there: they ate all the decorations, tore off the cookies.
And adults at that time held a master class on how to properly hold chopsticks and take rolls with them, washing this down with wine and making toasts in honor of the birthday man.
entertainment part
According to the program, we had a puppet theater - they staged the fairy tale "Three Little Pigs" (according to S.V. Mikhalkov). Scenario
We have been preparing for this story. We sewed 3 piglets (they put on their hands, nod their heads and wave their paws); bought a wolf character; built theatrical scenery: three houses that will cost piglets.
First house(according to a fairy tale, it should be made of straw) was cut out of a plastic bottle, corrugated paper, cut into strips, was pasted on top.
Second house(from rods) were cut out of a cup of popcorn and a roof was built on top, which was a flower basket woven from twigs. There were dried leaves on it, which scattered when the wolf blew on the house.
Third house(from stones) we built from Lego-type constructor blocks, only large ones. 
The performance itself was mysterious and quite interesting.

Three people were involved in the production, who played the roles of the host, the wolf and the three pigs.
How to celebrate 2 years of a child without special preparation and at the same time spending a minimum of effort?
I will tell and share my experience, of course, using my own example.
Considering that I was preparing for my first birthday with great care and long before its onset with a minimum of guests, then for 2 years, I must say, everything turned out exactly the opposite.)
Although I decided to prepare in advance for Angelica her 2nd birthday, but almost until the very end I was not sure how and where this holiday was supposed to take place.
In advance, I nevertheless prepared an elegant suit for her: a tutu skirt and a headband, look (about will open in a new tab).
And of course the gifts that we and the guests would give.
After weighing all the pros and cons, we decided to celebrate the birthday at home and invite some guests. But we have a lot of relatives)) If you call one, you need to call another, in general, it turned out about 18 people without children. And of course the kids were of different ages: from 10 months to 14 years).
It is necessary to somehow organize the evening so that the children are not bored, and so that adults can do something other than eat and talk.
Well, everything is in order.
How our day started
My daughter woke up and we immediately went to look for gifts with her. The very first and unexpected, and therefore bringing a lot of joy))) is a composition of balloons ("clown", as my daughter said).
Advice: now in large shopping centers, in gift wrapping stores and in holiday organizing companies, they make wonderful compositions from balloons, of any shape and any kind, according to your imagination and wallet of course. Accordingly, if you have a theme party, then it will be great to supplement it with an airy composition that matches the theme, delighting the birthday boy and other children.
Then, we went to look at the wall newspaper that we had hung from the last birthday with slotted closing windows (template), in which there were photographs of each month and discussed each, and the daughter remembered which photo, when and what was very useful to develop speech thus encouraging the child to tell).
Advice: I started a tradition of summing up the results of the past year for my daughter, i.e. I always print photos, choosing 6 pieces from each month (one of them I make a collage in Photoshop or a beautiful children's frame) - I get a whole album of photos that Angelica loves to look at and collages for the festive wall newspaper.
Since last year, to decorate the walls, we have left a little train with pocket trailers, in which there was an inscription 1 year, I only printed “2” and “A” to get the inscription “2 years”.
Also a stork, which was attached to the wall with a collage “2nd year of life”, in mini-frames of which there were daughter's photos from each month of her 2nd year of life.
I focused on all these moments and we walked around the room together, looked, discussed everything - she really likes to look at herself, especially in photographs (she likes to say: “this is Adika, and this is Adika” - this is Angelica, and this is Angelica) .
In addition to everything together (Angelica helped to glue the adhesive tape) they hung a beautiful holiday poster. After all, it is important that the child also participate in decorating the room for the celebration.
How to give gifts from mom-dad in an original way?
To give gifts NOT banal, but fun and interesting, you can come up with a search game. According to the principle "we follow the notes and look for a gift." I printed out cards with signatures where to look for a gift and from place to place, with my help, of course, my daughter and I were looking for new cards, and in the end a gift for her. I have prepared for you a set of cards with standard search places in the apartment, except for the fan (all the materials mentioned in the text can be downloaded at the end of the article).
Advice: on our cards there is an image of furniture and household appliances, and for guests or adult birthdays who can read, you can prepare note cards only with the signatures of the item, or in English, for example. As a gift for little guests, for example, you can even hide any small things: notebooks, hairpins, rubber bands, pens, etc.
Of course, there were several gifts, but I didn’t give them all at once, so that the effect of joy would not fade away throughout the day and attention would not be scattered to “all at once”.
Therefore, after the phrase “let’s go look for gifts, suddenly something else is hidden”, the child broke into a smile and ran after me in anticipation of the search))). Of course, I threw the first note at her feet, in the most visible place and suggested where else to look.
And then, until the evening, she still tried to find note-cards and enthusiastically told her grandparents all the holiday that she and her mother were looking for gifts.
A real children's holiday.
Still, I understood that a large crowd of guests with children is both trouble, and a lot of fuss, and very noisy. And as a rule, unfortunately, adults already forget about the birthday boy after drinking a glass or two.
Therefore, I arranged the most children's holiday for my daughter even before the festive dinner. It turns out several variants of the holiday combined in one day.
And when does a child have the most emotions and impressions? That's right, when he's in the playroom, well, or at the zoo, or at the circus!)
Therefore, even if the day is oversaturated with emotions, I decided to take her to the playroom and chose the time before daytime sleep for this, and since it was a weekday, there were almost no children there! And Angelica, with great pleasure, jumped on the trampoline, ran around the hall, played and swam in the pool with balls, rode on typewriters - and everywhere she was almost alone.

And then the happy birthday girl literally passed out, as soon as we came home, and I had time to prepare everything for the evening.
Evening celebration of 2 years old baby
The only thing toas always, it was not me who was responsible for the culinary part of the evening, but my husband and Angelika's grandmother,so I was engaged in preparations for the cultural and entertainment program.
Already in the evening, while the guests were gathering, we were laying the table, completing the last preparations, the children played in the nursery, which was full of toys for classes and games.
Between the front doors, I prepared a large package with pre-prepared gifts for my daughter (because the guests gave everything in money), and in order to give something to the child, they each chose something they liked and gave.
Advice: it’s better, of course, all at different times, so that the child can “digest” the emotions from one gift, and then give the next one. And to be honest, it is not necessary that each guest give something (we just had several gifts prepared, just for all the guests), 2-3 are enough.
Children, of course, could not sit at the table for a long time, so I almost immediately switched to an entertainment program for them, while adults could fully relax and enjoy delicious dishes).
By the way, we tried to seat the children at our own small table, but everyone still sat with their mom.
And for the guys, I prepared a small script (thanks to the great Internet). The scenario is just designed for children 2-3 years old, but other children participated in it with pleasure. Its meaning is that the hostess shows the inhabitants of her house: a cat, a bird, etc., and the children repeat after songs, imitate animals, watch a mini-scene and receive gifts. The children are all happy that they participated and even received gifts.
Advice: an ordinary dressing gown and a headscarf will turn any mother into a “hostess” according to the script, the text can be written on a cheat sheet or improvised. The characters are in the house (dog, cat, cockerel, etc., I think everyone has toys).
I prepared gifts for little guests in a flower basket (as per the script). I glued the usual basket (in the magician, not everything is 38r) with green crepe paper on 2 sided adhesive tape, and glued the printed flowers on top of it. And I put developing magazines in the basket, twisted them into a tube, fastening them with rubber bands for girls, ribbons for boys and signed the names of the little guests.
And for adults at this time, while they are eating, I turned on the film of the same name “Angelica is 2 years old”, which was edited from all the photos and video cuts, as much as 20-odd minutes).
Also, during smoke breaks, adults could take a closer look at the design of the room: a collage with a stork, a photo in a wall newspaper, as well as an album with printed photographs, there was also a diary with her successes, new words, the main events of life, which I have been leading since her birth ( by the way, for some reason I didn’t post it to the guests) - that is, all the results of the summed up year.
Everyone, both children and adults, enjoyed the holiday. And Angelica was impressed all day and then remembered the main highlights of that day for a long time.

Despite the abundance of information and attributes of the holiday, everything turned out pretty quickly, compared to last year, when I prepared for a long time and collected information, drew the design, came up with something for about 2 months ( this year I prepared somewhere in 2-3 days).
