Summary of a role-playing game for children of the senior group on the topic “Excursion to the library”

Show the social significance of libraries;
Expand your understanding of the work of a librarian;
Establish rules of conduct in a public place.

Equipment:

Here we are in the city, but the library is still closed and we have time to go to the hairdresser, pharmacy, canteen, whoever needs it. Meet me at the library. (Children go into different zones, assign roles themselves, and the teacher helps if necessary).

Attention, let’s finish our business and go to the designated place (all children approach the library; the teacher can take on the role of the librarian in the first game).

Guys, this is a library. There are a lot of interesting books, magazines, and newspapers stored here. The librarian keeps all these books and is responsible for them. He gives books to visitors, writes down the name of the book and the special number that each book has on the reader's card (the teacher shows a sample). After the reader has read the book, he must return it.

The library has a reading room. It is needed to read books that are in the archive. These are very valuable books, often there is only one copy and the librarian cannot allow you to take them home with you.

Let me remind you that you cannot make noise in the reading room; you need to behave very quietly so as not to disturb others.

Now let's go to the shelves with books and see how many different interesting books there are (children look at books).

We still have time before the bus leaves, let's ask the librarian to give us the most interesting books from the archive and go to the reading room with them (children go to the tables, look at the books).

Our bus leaves soon, we hand over all the books to the librarian. And who wants to take a book with them, choose from the shelves and go to the librarian, he will create a reader card for you and write down the name of the book you took.

Progress of the game:

Option 1.

Educator: Guys, we recently went on an excursion to the children's library. Library workers told us who works in the library and how it works. We really enjoyed the excursion and organized our own library in our group. We selected the most interesting books and magazines for our library, made little books, subscriptions and reader forms, glued a book pocket onto each book and made a book form. And today I invite you and me to play in the library.

Educator: Children, who works in the library?

Children: Librarians.

Educator: Correct. The librarian stores and is responsible for all books and magazines in the library, and issues books to library visitors. What are they called?

Children: Readers.

Educator: When the reader has chosen the book he likes, the librarian puts the book’s form in the reader’s subscription. /Teacher shows a sample/

After the reader reads the book, he must return it to the library. The librarian checks whether the book is damaged and puts the book form back into it /shows/. Guys, who remembers what departments are in the library?

Children: Subscription and reading room.

Educator: Yes, readers take books home with a subscription, and the reading room is needed to read books that are in the library in one copy. These are very valuable books and the librarian cannot allow you to take them home. There, in the reading room you can see many interesting magazines.

Educator: So, guys, let's play. Today I will be the librarian, and you will be the readers. Welcome to the library! Turns on the recording of a song about the library and the game begins.

Next time, the children themselves will take on the role of librarian. During subsequent sessions, the teacher introduces new roles and plots into the game.

Option 2:

Educator: guys, today we’ll play library again, let’s remember who, besides librarians, also works in the library? You and I came to the library dressed, took off our hats and cards and gave them to someone for safekeeping?

Children: To the cloakroom attendant!

Educator: Correct. The wardrobe man keeps our things while we are in the library. He gives us special numbers. So for today's game we need a cloakroom attendant.

And who distributes and controls work in the library, resolves conflicts?

Children: Manager!

The manager also makes requests for the purchase of new books. The manager orders new books for the library, but who will bring them to the library?

Children: Driver.

Educator: We have a subscription and a reading room in the library, which means we need to choose two librarians. So, guys, for today’s game we need: a library manager, a cloakroom attendant, a driver, and two librarians. So that no one is offended, let's choose them according to the counting /choose/. Guys, the rest will be readers if they wish. Now let's play.

The children start the game.

Yulia and Arina, librarians, agree among themselves who wants to work on the subscription and who wants to work in the reading room.

The manager comes to work first. Today she must order new books for the library. The manager asks over the phone to bring the necessary books to the library. The driver brings them. The invoice and computer manager accepts books and gives them to librarians.

Librarians arrange books and set up the “New Books” book exhibition.

Library visitors are invited to go to the subscription and reading room.

Children who have expressed a desire to be readers go to the library and hand over their things to the cloakroom attendant. Librarians talk with readers, ask what they want to read about, and advise them to take this or that book. In the reading room, children look at magazines.

If necessary, children turn to the teacher with questions.

Some time later, the teacher announces that today there will be a conversation in the reading room about the writer’s work and invites the children to go to the reading room, where a thematic exhibition is set up for the writer’s anniversary and briefly tells the children about the writer and analyzes the game:

  • What did you play today?
  • Who works in the library?
  • How did the ripples cope with their roles?
  • Did you like this game?

When the game is subsequently played, the teacher may suggest introducing new characters /for example, a bookstore seller/ and combining the game with other plots /for example, with family games, school, kindergarten, city tour, etc./
