Why choose an original sketch?

It would seem that the question is so simple that it does not require explanation. Nevertheless, in the presence of gorgeous masters and an infinite amount of information on the global Internet, there are those who want to get themselves a tattoo "like in the picture". Many do not see the difference between an ordinary drawing and a sketch for a tattoo, but this is very important! Not all pictures from the world wide web are suitable for application to the body, but many of them can be processed for an individual sketch (taking into account contouring, shadows and color rendition).

Let us examine sequentially what is the value of an individual sketch.

 1. A person with a tattoo in a conspicuous place should be prepared for the fact that public attention to him will be increased. Some will just look at the drawings with interest, while others will not hesitate to ask questions. After the standard topics about whether it hurts, how much it costs and how it will look in old age, you will hear: "What does it mean?" ... If your picture is not quite obvious =) And then few people like to answer: "Nothing, I found it in Google" or "I don't know, it was in the catalog of standard sketches." Nobody says that all drawings on the body should have a deep meaning, which should be told about, raising your hands to the sky and rolling your eyes. But it is much more pleasant when you are aware of what you have applied to the body, and you can easily explain your motives (at least to yourself, because no one is obliged to account for their tattoos to anyone). Of course, someone decides to apply a drawing on the body absolutely spontaneously, under the influence of some emotional events. As a rule, such clients then come to the mixing of their "masterpiece".
 2. Since a body with a tattoo is an object of creativity, it is worth considering how many people want to become owners of a second-rate work of art? We are now talking about tattoos - copies. After all, the originals are priceless examples of the greatest skill. Only genuine samples are exhibited in museums and bought up in private collections. No one will read amateur scribbling when available greatest works literary genre... That is why the original, individually designed sketch is so highly appreciated.
 3. An experienced and talented craftsman is always happy to work with clients who bring him new and reckless ideas. As an artist, he wants to create and create (but sometimes destroy) =) Avoid tattooists who offer to repeat a sketch of one of his clients. A tattoo is a single piece of private art property. It should not be repeated on the body for everyone.

Study the original author's sketches on our website, get ideas and fly to your master on creative wings =) Together you will create a unique sample of an artistic tattoo that will become your companion for life.

Why do we need tattoo sketches? Even if you have already decided on a tattoo and you firmly know what exactly you will be filling, you also need to decide on the style and convey the task to the performer as clearly as possible. To do this, you need to provide a sketch of the tattoo, what the master will rely on. Of course, more and more people prefer going to a specific tattoo artist, who they go to for his unique style, his vision and his advice. They are "in love" with his style of performance and completely trust him. However, if such a master is not in sight, or if a master works with many styles, bring him a sketch of the tattoo.

Death Note manga and anime character, films and computer games based on the manga. The god of death, out of boredom, threw into the world of people "Death Note" - an artifact that serves to kill people. For a person to be overtaken by death, it is enough to enter the name of this person in the Death Note. Then he had fun watching a Japanese schoolboy who picked up a notebook and began to use it to kill criminals.

History of creation

The image of Ryuk was invented and developed into a finished concept by Japanese writer and screenwriter Tsugumi Oba, and the character design was created by artist Takeshi Obata. When Tsugumi Obu was asked why the apple was chosen as an attribute and Ryuk's favorite food, the writer explained that the choice was made based on the visual impact of the picture.

The character looked good with apples, and the red color of the fruit made a spectacular combination with the black color and Ryuk's huge toothy mouth. When asked if there were any extensive cultural and religious associations that are loaded with the image of an apple, Oba said bluntly that he had not thought of anything like that, just “cool apples”.

It's hard to believe, but the monstrous Ryuk, in accordance with the artist's original plan, was supposed to look like a human youth, outwardly similar to Light, only with black wings and a brunette. The artist wanted the death gods to look like rock stars and be attractive to the reader.

However, Obata then came to the conclusion that the overly attractive Ryuk would attract the attention of the audience. Then Light will turn out to be a supporting character, and not the main character, as intended. Later, the editor demanded that Ryuk not look like a human at all, and as a result, the hero received a monstrous appearance. In the official guide to the manga, Death Note 13: How to Read, the artist reveals that he envisioned Ryuk's monstrous face as a mask that hides an attractive face.

Death Note anime

The Death Note anime series was released by Madhouse and aired in 2006-2007. A total of 37 twenty-minute episodes were released. The director of the series is Tetsuro Araki, the voice actor who voiced Ryuk is Shido Nakamura.

The creators of the anime closely reproduced the plot of the manga, so both the character of the character and the events in which he participates in the anime are almost the same as in the manga. Only some sidelines disappeared from the anime and several minor episodes appeared that were not in the manga, but this did not affect the overall storyline.

Ryuku is bored in the world of the gods of death, where nothing interesting happens: the gods sit back and play dice. For fun, Ryuk throws a Death Note into the world of people, accompanying that with instructions so that the person who picked up the notebook can use it. It is later revealed that the thrown notebook did not belong to Ryuku himself, but to another god of death named Shido.

In the world of people, the notebook is picked up by Yagami Light, a Japanese schoolboy, the son of a police chief, an intelligent but slightly antisocial teenager who decides to use the notebook to destroy criminals and thinks of himself as the "god of the new world", where only law-abiding and "useful" people will remain.

Ryuk watches with interest the actions that Light takes, but does not feel any friendly feelings towards the teenager. Ryuk everywhere follows Light, accompanying him even at school, but no one except Light sees Ryuk. The God of Death is only having fun watching Light, and is not interested in helping or, conversely, hindering that.

However, Ryuk has a weakness - he loves apples. In exchange for apples, Light manages to "spin" Ryuk not some services. For example, the death god told Light about the pursuers who were following him, discovered the cameras that Al had installed to watch Light, at Light's request wrote fake rules in a notebook. All for the opportunity to eat apples.

The only major difference between anime and manga is the ending. In the anime, Ryuk kills Light under different circumstances.

In addition to Ryuk, other gods of death are present in the series, for example, Rem. This god of death is watching another character, Misa, a girl who "acquired" eyes from the god of death in order to see the names and terms of life of people. In the manga and anime, Ram is portrayed as a woman, but in the Death Note films, this role is played by a man.

Ram hates people due to their inherent cruelty and loathes Light for the methods he uses. However, Ram has to help Light because of Misa. Visually, Rem was created as a contrasting character to Ryuk.

The character also appears in the full-length anime Death Note Rewrite: The Visualizing God, which is a condensed retelling of the series. According to the plot, Ryuk is in the world of the gods of death, where he retells to a certain god of death his own memories of Light and the events associated with him.

Ryuk also appears in the 2006 Japanese mystical thriller Death Note, where the hero is voiced by Shidô Nakamura. In 2017, a film based on the manga was released by American director Adam Wingard. The names of the heroes are distorted here, the American city of Seattle becomes the scene of the action, and the plot is also strongly redrawn relative to the manga. The role of Ryuk in this adaptation is played by an American actor.

The death gods in the anime are supernatural characters who are not essentially responsible for the death of humans. According to the plot, people die beautifully without the intervention of the gods. To kill people by writing the names of those in a notebook, the gods need to renew own lifesince the rest of the years not lived by man due to the fact that the god of death entered the name in the notebook is translated "into the account" of the god of death himself.

 • In the new Japanese mythology, there are the gods of death - Shinigami, but this type of character appeared relatively recently. This is the personification of death, an image that can be found on prints and other pictures. It is used in contemporary Japanese art. Presumably, the Shinigami image penetrated into Japanese folklore from Europe, where the image of Death is personified in art, or from Chinese mythology, where there were different types of death gods. The image of a Shinigami first appears in Japanese literature in the middle of the 19th century.

 • Ryuk's design turned out to be so catchy and recognizable that some fans began to tattoo themselves with the character. Other fans of the series do some very effective cosplay, convincingly portraying Ryuk, or paint art, showing love for the character.

A reference to the fresco "Creation of Adam"
 • There are many references to the real world in the series. For example, in the splash screen that opens each new series, there is a moment when Light and Ryuk "depict" the mural "Creation of Adam". Ryuk is in the position of God, Light is in the position of Adam, and Ryuk takes an apple from Light's hands.
