Xiaomi mi band is not syncing. Connecting the Xiaomi Mi Band bracelet to the phone. What is a Mi account and what is it for?

Before you can start using your new Xiaomi Mi Band 2 smart bracelet, you need to connect it to your phone and set it up. How to do it simply and quickly, we will tell in this article.

Unboxing Xiaomi Mi Band 2

The bracelet comes in a small cardboard box, in which only three things are useful:

  • The capsule itself, with a screen and a battery inside;
  • Black strap (you can buy additional straps in almost any other colors - we have an article about this);
  • Capsule charger.

First of all, put the capsule on charge for a couple of hours, because, most likely, it will be discharged. After charging, you can start connecting.

You need to install the Mi Fit app on your smartphone or tablet. It is available for Android phones (link to app on Google Play) and iOS (link to app on AppStore). After that, you need to go to the application and create a Mi account. What it is, as well as detailed instructions for creating it, you will find in our article.

Log into the created account through the application. On the next screen, simply click the "Sign in" button. The program will ask you to enter your name, gender, year and month of birth, height and weight.

At the last step, you need to select the walking goal that you want to achieve daily (the default is 8000 steps, you can leave it like that, then you can change it in the settings) and select your device - Mi Band. The search for the bracelet will start, Bluetooth on the phone must be turned on (if it is turned off, Mi Fit will offer to turn it on itself):

In the last couple of years, almost every major equipment manufacturer has introduced at least one of its own accessories - a fitness tracker, or a fitness bracelet. Among the entire mass of products released, there are also high-quality sports devices, such as 2 modern gadgets from Xiaomi, and one of them is the Xiaomi Mi Band bracelet. Its main advantages are wide functionality, reasonable price, as well as practicality and nice appearance.

The delivery set of Mi Bend is classic here - in a gray cardboard box are the capsule of the bracelet itself, a high-quality rubber strap for it, a cable for connecting to a PC and recharging the device, and instructions.

Turning on the fitness bracelet

Before turning on your Mi Gadget for the first time, you need to charge it first. To do this, find two small metal contacts on the bracelet capsule (on the side) and insert it into a special socket for recharging on the USB cable. After that, we connect the cord to the computer or through the "cube" to the outlet and wait a couple of hours. When the indicators on the bracelet stop flashing and just light up, it means that the tracker is fully charged and ready to go.

While charging, download a program called Mi Fit from Google Play or the App Store (depending on the operating system). This app allows you to manage your bracelet and get the most out of its features.

Connecting a Xiaomi bracelet to an account

To start fully using the fitness tracker, you must first register your account through the previously downloaded Mi Fit mobile application or through the PC Internet browser. Through a browser, you can register by going to the company's official website and entering your email address, date of birth and choosing your country of residence. We also recommend that you uncheck the box that offers you a subscription to Chinese news (you will see this option under).

In addition, you can use your phone number instead of an email address to connect. To do this, click on the special item at the very bottom of the registration page. After all the necessary steps have been completed, you will be prompted to create a password and enter a verification code. Then we log in using our username and password.

When registering through the application, everything is also very simple. A similar scheme, but here it is better to use e-mail, since for Russians the possibility of registering using a mobile phone number is not yet provided.

Setting personal data

To set up the Mi-tracker correctly, you need to connect the bracelet to the application. To connect correctly, log in to the Mi Fit program, fill out the second form, entering personal data such as gender, nickname, weight and height, as well as the desired number of steps that you plan to take per day. In any case, all this data can be changed later.

How to connect a fitness bracelet

Now you need to understand how to connect Mi Band to your smartphone. To do this, you need to synchronize the tracker itself, the program and the account that we created. We turn on Bluetooth on the phone and follow the recommendations of the program for connecting:

  1. Click on "Connect device".
  2. Select the type of connected accessory - Band.
  3. The application will ask you to click on the bracelet. Do this or lightly tap it with your finger.
  4. When the operation is successfully completed, the program will notify you about it.

Also, the Mi Band 1s instruction says that after the bracelet has been tied to the phone, its firmware will be automatically updated to the current version. During the update, keep your Xiaomi tracker close to your smartphone, and after the process is completed, you will see the user interface of the program on your iPhone or Android.

Program interface and gestures Mi Band 1s

The Mi Fit program itself will contain sections such as "Activity", "Profile" And "Notifications". The user will be able to view the following information:

  1. The number of steps taken per day with hourly statistics.
  2. Statistics of past periods of activity.
  3. Sleep statistics: phases and their duration, awakening and more.

The manual for using the Mi Band 1s bracelet indicates that you can track the dynamics of the wearer's weight measurements. There are also indicators such as body mass index (BMI) and a comparative graph of weight for the selected period. You can enter and track the data of multiple users.

The user can use the function "Run", by activating the GPS. Wait until the satellite icon turns green and feel free to click on "Start". While you are running, it will display basic training data and also show you a map. Hold down the button "Pause" and the function will be stopped. Subsequently, you can view all the information in the program.

If you have Mi Band 2, then you can view the number of steps taken on the display using a special gesture - as if watching the time on a watch. If Mi Band 1s - using the same gesture, but here we determine by the indicators:

  • Not lit - even a third of the set value for the number of steps has not yet been passed;
  • One indicator winks - more than 30% passed;
  • Two lights flashing - you have completed more than 2/3 of the planned number of steps.

When the goal is reached, you will feel the vibration of the bracelet, and the LEDs on it will start flashing. When performing the above gesture, the two outer LEDs will flash, and if all three LEDs flash, the target has been exceeded!

In addition to all this, the Mi bracelet is equipped with functions such as an alarm clock, an incoming call alert and notifications from applications. The device is protected from dust and moisture according to the IP67 standard, and also has good wear-resistant qualities.

Now you know how to connect Xiaomi Mi Band to your smartphone and how to set it up. Any questions? Mi Band 1s Won't Connect to iPhone or Android? Write in the comments.

The new model of the popular tracker Mi Band 2 went on sale relatively recently, but despite the fact that the price has not yet decreased after the hype at the start of sales, it can already be seen on many athletes. This article will tell you how to use the device as comfortably as possible and set it up correctly.

In this article

Preparing for the first run

The device is supplied only in the standard package, which includes:

  1. Fitness tracker;
  2. Bracelet;
  3. USB charging cable (without power supply);
  4. Instruction in Chinese.

If the tracker battery has a charge level of more than 60%, then you can start using the device. Otherwise, it is recommended to charge it. To do this, you need to connect the tracker to a special cable connector, and insert it with the other side into the USB connector of a laptop or powerbank. If you plan to use a mains charger, then you need to make sure that its voltage and current match those recommended by the manufacturer. In no case should you use fast chargers with a current strength of more than 1A.

Before using, it is necessary to securely fix the tracker in the bracelet case. It should be inserted from the inside, adjacent to the arm, side.

To make sure that the fixation is secure, shake the bracelet over a soft surface: an armchair, a sofa.

The device is turned on by pressing the touch button on the display.

Activation

  1. To control the bracelet, you need to download a special Mi Fit application to your smartphone. There are also modified versions on the Internet, but it is still recommended to install the program from the official store. It is advisable to turn on Wi-Fi, because the amount of data transferred can be large.
  2. Next, you need to sign in to your Mi account. If you don't have it yet, then you need to register. This will not be discussed in detail, since most owners of Xiaomi devices already have it. And if there are any difficulties during the registration process, then for this we have a separate one.
  • name or alias;
  • Date of Birth;
  • height and weight;
  • the planned daily number of steps to the nearest thousand.

The standard value is 10 thousand steps. With a full physique, the initial rate should be set at the level of 6-7 thousand steps, increasing it as you train. During the first launch of the application, the weight is indicated with an accuracy of 1 kg, you can set a more accurate value in the settings.

The data entered helps the application not only assess the state of health, but also improve the accuracy of counting the steps taken.

If everything is done correctly, the bracelet firmware update will start. During this process, you should bring it as close as possible to the smartphone and do not move the mobile device to places with poor signal strength.

Possible sync issues and how to fix them

First of all, you should make sure that your device meets the system requirements. Fitness bracelet Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is able to work with smartphones from various manufacturers, including Apple. However, devices that are too old will not be supported. Minimum requirements: Android 4.4 or iOS 7.0 and Bluetooth 4.0.

If the bracelet has already been in operation, then before buying it is necessary to make one setting, namely, “untie” it from the account of the previous owner. Otherwise, you will not be able to control the device through Mi Fit.

Another common cause of connection problems is too much distance between devices or the presence of signal interference (walls, metal elements, radiation from other devices).

If your device is suitable, then you should try to manually find the bracelet in the list of detected Bluetooth connections. If the smartphone refuses to receive a signal at all, then a software error may also be the cause of the failure. In this case, it is recommended to re-enable Bluetooth or completely restart the phone.

Perhaps the synchronization problems are caused by incorrect settings, you can try resetting them to the default ones.

In some cases, installing an older version of the Mi Fit application, for example, helps.

Still unable to detect Xiaomi Mi Band 2 via Bluetooth? Probably due to a technical problem. First you need to make sure that the Bluetooth on your smartphone is functioning correctly by connecting a device. If everything is in order, then you can try to synchronize with Mi Band 2 using another device. It did not help - contact the seller with a request for an exchange or repair of the bracelet.

Tracker usage modes

In order to correctly calculate the load, the fitness bracelet needs to know what kind of physical exercise is being performed at the moment. For example, you can switch the tracker to running mode in the "Activity" ("Status") tab. After activating it, the tracker will start collecting more detailed information:

  • distance and time of the run;
  • instant and average pulse;
  • the amount of energy spent;
  • stride speed and width;
  • owner's route.

To turn off the running mode, you will need to press the "Finish" button. After that, you will be able to get acquainted with more detailed data. You can also run the heart rate monitor separately. If you do this using the application, the results will be saved to the database, and when the bracelet is offline, they will be displayed on the screen.

The bracelet also supports various behavior tags. For example, you can enter a training schedule with pre-known exercises there. The creators claim that in this case, the tracker learns and more effectively monitors the physical condition of the owner.

Also, Mi Band 2 allows you to view activity statistics and marks the user's achievements. A message about your records can be posted on a page on a social network. There is an opportunity to add users who train according to a similar program as friends and follow their results. This feature is also useful for coaches to control their players.

Body weight control

The bracelet is able to independently assess the wearer's fitness based on the body mass index. However, do not forget that this is not a universal indicator, but only an approximate value, which may differ depending on the individual characteristics of the organism.

If you plan to lose weight, then you should set the desired value in the profile. Mi Band 2 does not create a training program, but it will help you monitor changes in weight. It is recommended to use it in combination with a "smart" scale that can be synchronized with a smartphone. If these are not available, then you will have to enter the values \u200b\u200bmanually. Weight measurements should be taken at about the same time before or after meals, otherwise the results will be incorrect.

An equally useful feature that allows you to track the activity of the body during sleep. You do not need to switch to this mode - it turns on automatically. Based on the measurement results, the application will create a detailed schedule, divided into phases of light and deep sleep.

Bracelet customization

The Mi Fit application is completely in Russian, so it will not be difficult to understand its interface and set it up correctly. We will only cover some useful features.

Data synchronization

This is perhaps the most important feature, because if it is not available, all training information will be stored in the smartphone’s memory, and if the device is damaged, it will be lost forever. Using Google Fit will help prevent this. In addition, data from the cloud storage can be exported to another fitness bracelet.

Visibility of Bluetooth connection for all devices

You must disable this mode if it is active. It does not bring any benefit to the average user, but only consumes additional energy.

Smartphone unlock

A rather convenient function, however, it should be warned that using this mode creates certain security gaps, because the Mi Band 2 can be stolen. If important information is stored on a smartphone or it is used for financial transactions, then it is better to use a fingerprint scanner.

The Mi Band 2 bracelet is able to promptly notify the owner of incoming calls, receiving SMS messages and notifications from programs, such as a VK client or email. You can set an alarm. It has been proven that awakening from vibration is much softer than from a loud sound.

Separately, mention should be made of the inactivity alert function. A person needs to move, so even if you have a sedentary job, you should warm up at least once every 2 hours. It will also be useful to activate vibration when the connection with the smartphone is broken.

In order for the Mi Band 2 tracker not to cause inconvenience, you should specify the interval during which notifications should not be sent in the "Do Not Disturb" section. If necessary, vibration can be turned off, leaving only the text on the tracker display.

Another useful feature is the use of a battery indicator to show progress towards a daily goal. This function is configured in the statistics section.

And do not know how to tie it to a smartphone? No problem, today we will tell you how to correctly and quickly link Mi Band to the application, connect and configure it for further work.

  1. To get started, remove the tracker from the box and put it on charge, as such gadgets are most often sold completely discharged. This will take about 2 hours, after which we can continue working with the device.
  2. Install the official application called Mi Fit on your phone. Link to Google Play for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiaomi.hm.health&hl=ru (if you need Russian, download and install) or in the App Store for iOS ( iPhone, iPad) https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/mi-fit/id938688461?mt=8 .
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone. Open the Mi Fit app and click on the button "Sign In".
  4. The application will take you to the authorization page, and if you do not have a Mi account yet, click on the button "Create Mi Account". The bracelet is tied just to this account.
  5. On the next page, enter your current mobile number, where you will subsequently receive an SMS message with a confirmation code. Create and enter a password below and click on the button "Create".

  1. Confirm the registration by entering the SMS password in the appropriate field and click Next.
  2. Wait for the profile to load and click the button "Sign In". On the next page, think up and enter your nickname in the appropriate field.
  3. Next, you will need to fill out a questionnaire, entering personal data there - gender, date of birth, height and weight.
  4. And in the last paragraph, you will need to set the number of steps that you go through per day. The standard value is 10,000 steps, but you can set your own rate - if you are doing, for example, running, you can set the value to 18-20 thousand steps. The Mi Band 2 bracelet will inform you when you have reached the daily allowance with a short vibration. This setting can always be changed later. Click Finish.

Note! On some iPhones, at this stage of the setup, a problem arises - the “Finish” button remains inactive. In this case, you just need to close Mi Fit through the application manager, and then restart it. The settings will be saved so you don't need to re-enter them.

Binding Mi Band 2

We have already done the main thing, it remains only to connect the Xiaomi tracker directly to the application. To do this, on the main window of the program at the bottom left, click on the inscription Profile, and then - "Add device" and select your Mi Band 2 bracelet. Next, we act very quickly - we remove the bracelet capsule from the rubber strap and apply it with the display to the smartphone display exactly along the drawn contour. As soon as the connection is established, the capsule will vibrate, after that wait another 10 seconds, and put your index finger on the part with which you applied it to the smartphone. You will see a link confirmation on your phone display.

By the way, on all smartphone operating systems, the binding takes place in different ways: in some cases, you do not need to attach the capsule to the smartphone display.

After the pairing of the smartphone and the bracelet has been completed, you will be taken to the section of the main parameters of the fitness tracker. Let's consider each moment separately:

  • FindBand: help in finding a bracelet (vibration on it turns on);
  • BandPosition: This is where you let the app know which hand you're wearing the band on. This is due to the management of the Mi Band by gestures;
  • Other parameters: here are the software versions and the MAC address of the bracelet.

As soon as the connection of all the necessary parameters is completed, click on the button with an arrow in the upper left corner of the application. Ready! Now you can check the operation of the bracelet - just walk around a little and look at the phone screen - the application should display up-to-date information about the number of steps taken. If this does not happen, read the next paragraph.

Setting up a smartphone for the correct operation of Mi Band 2

  1. Go to the settings of your smartphone and find the section there "Confidentiality""Health". Find the Mi Fit app in the list and open it.
  2. Enable all available settings and save them.

Ready! Now nothing will prevent the bracelet from collecting up-to-date information about the distance traveled. You can find out how many steps were taken today on the main page of the application - there will be a circle that will fill in as many steps were taken (remember, you set the desired number of steps per day during the setup process?). In addition, in this circle you can see information about the distance traveled and the number of calories burned per day. And by clicking on the arrow at the top right, you can brag to your friends about your success. The bracelet setting is complete. We wish you good luck and reach new heights!

Hello friends! Have you bought a smart tracker and want to link it to your smartphone? Of course you do! You understand, we don’t need a simple toy on our hand (we are demanding and literate people), and it’s not prestigious somehow. But a gadget that controls the pulse, monitors achievements and wakes up in the morning - this is for us advanced guys. Let's learn how to connect the xiaomi mi band 2 fitness bracelet to your phone and use it to the fullest!

Mi account

Regardless of which operating system your phone supports, in order to pair it with a fitness bracelet, you need to activate Mi Account. Binding Iphone based on iOS and Android devices has no fundamental differences.

There are three quick ways to register a user in a profile:

The new account will save the statistics of your achievements, display notifications on the bracelet screen, determine the phases of sleep.

We connect the bracelet to a Windows smartphone

You can download the official My Fit application for iPhone in the App Store, for Android smartphones, for example, Xiaomi redmi, in Google Play. Unfortunately, there is no official application for Windows devices, but the Bind Mi Band utility can be a worthy replacement. The Mi Band Companion program received good feedback from users.

The list of features is not as extensive as that of My Fit, but it can also process and transmit a number of standard physical indicators:

  • Step count
  • Determination of the sleep phase
  • Calorie count

The smart alarm function is also available for Windows smartphones. Useful timely updates and display of notifications about calls and messages on the screen will remain unavailable for this OS. xiaomi mi band 2(- Russia, UA, Belarus).

Before the first use, the smart bracelet needs to be synchronized with a device with iOS or Android installed, for the initial flashing of the bracelet. Next, we establish a Bluetooth connection and pass device authentication. We launch Mi Band and go through the registration of Mi account through a smartphone. Let's use the app!

Attention! Due to the lack of a function to display call notifications on the bracelet screen, it makes no sense to always keep the bluetooth connection active. The internal memory of the capsule is quite enough to process the statistical data for the last 10 days. Thus, you can save battery power on the tracker.

I think we have figured out how to connect a fitness bracelet to any type of smartphone and it will not be difficult. And after synchronization forward, to a healthy lifestyle and new achievements in fitness!
