The "little prince" of the planet and their inhabitants. The Little Prince: Analysis. "The Little Prince": the work of Saint-Exupery What is really valuable on Earth

The writing

At the beginning of World War II, Antoine de Saint-Exupery often painted the same drawing: a boy with or without wings looks in surprise from behind a cloud at the earth, at its houses, at the sheep. This surprised boy increasingly haunted the writer, pilot, fighter, preacher of spiritual values. This boy became the hero of an amazing fairy tale " The little Prince", Affirming the beauty of human relations, is a fairy tale for children and adults, written with a great desire to learn the world around, to lead people to wisdom and happiness.
The little prince lived on a small planet that "was bigger than himself." He lived by a firm rule: "I got up in the morning, washed, cleaned myself up - and immediately put your planet in order." On his planet, like on any other, useful herbs grew (simple flowers that took up little space and did not bother anyone) and harmful (baobabs). If "the baobab is not recognized in time," then you cannot get rid of it later, and if the planet is small, then the baobabs, having grown, "will tear it to shreds." Therefore, the Little Prince worked hard, loved to admire the sunset, but "he really missed a friend ...".
Once from a grain brought in from nowhere, a tiny sprout sprouted, unlike all the others. Soon a rose grew out of it. “She was so beautiful that it was breathtaking,” but proud and touchy. The little prince learned to love his rose, but he was too young and therefore did not guess the tenderness behind the tricks and whims of his flower. The rose gave her scent to the Little Prince, illuminated his life, but, although he fell in love beautiful flower and was glad to serve him, one day doubts awakened in his soul, and he decided to go traveling with migratory birds.
On the first asteroid there was only one inhabitant - a king for whom all people are subjects. He was an absolute monarch who could not tolerate disobedience, but kind, therefore "he gave only reasonable orders." Although the king owned only his own small planet, he believed that he also owned other planets and stars, "he was truly a sovereign monarch and did not know any limits and restrictions." The king believed that the wisdom of the ruler is to wait for favorable conditions, and then command. But kings don't really own anything, they only reign. The little prince decided that lust for power was pointless, he did not want to stay on the first planet and advised the king to give prudent orders in order for them to be executed.
On the second planet lived a vain man who thought that he was “the most beautiful, all the more elegant, all the richer and smarter than all”, everyone admires him. Such "people are deaf to everything except praise." The little prince fled from the ambitious, because ambition without any reason is meaningless.
On the third planet, there was a drunkard who drank to forget that he was ashamed to drink. And after the first, and after the second, and after the third planet, the Little Prince was convinced that "adults are very, very, very strange people."
There was a business man on the fourth planet — so busy “that he didn't even raise his head when the Little Prince appeared.” The business man owned the stars because before him "no one thought to take possession of them." He counted them. I disposed of them - I counted and recounted, put a piece of paper with what was written in
m number of stars to the bank and was content with it. But it didn't do any good to anyone. And the business man could not argue with him. He needed wealth in order to buy stars - it turned out to be a vicious circle. A businessman's property is also meaningless.
The fifth planet was the smallest of all, and on it lived a lamplighter, lighting and extinguishing the lantern, although no one else lived on the planet.
The little prince found the work of a lamplighter useful, if only because it was beautiful: as if a star or a flower were born or fell asleep. The lamplighter was not lazy, staying true to his word, and thought not only about himself, but also about his planet.
The sixth planet was huge. There lived a geographer who studies seas, rivers, cities, mountains and deserts and does not know if they are on his planet. This was a geographer, not a traveler. He wrote down the stories of travelers and checked their accuracy, recorded what never changes, and did not record the ephemeral - that which should soon disappear. And the little prince thought that "beauty and joy are short-lived." The geographer's science was soulless.
The seventh planet was Earth. This was not a simple planet. The little prince got into the desert and met a snake, it was not thicker than a finger, but more powerful than any king. On a high mountain, the little prince spoke with an echo, then saw a whole garden of roses, met the Fox, realized that "forever responsible for the one he tamed."
But neither on small planets, nor on the big Earth did the Little Prince meet anyone who could become his friend, except for the lamplighter - the embodiment of loyalty to duty, loyalty to the reliable, but senseless.
In his travels, the little prince, with his childhood perception, saw the world as it really is: "There is no perfection in the world!" All the best in a person makes him weak. And in the innocence of the Little Prince lies wisdom and humanity.

TEACHER: - After all, if the stars are lit,

So somebody needs it?

So this is necessary

So that every evening over the rooftops

at least one star lit up ?!

This question has been asked by hundreds of sages. And M. p. says thoughtfully: "I wish I knew why the stars shine."

But today let's try to stop for a while, take your time, think about the eternal!

I invite you to reflect on the most important, philosophical questions:

Why does a person live? What is true happiness?

What does true friendship and true love mean?

And our interlocutor will be a kind, wise man - the French writer A. de Saint-Exupery and, of course, the protagonist his story-tales, the mysterious M.p.

Pupil A story about a writer (insert). East reference.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900-1944)

Exupery is a French writer, a brave pilot. What did not happen to him during the flights! He was removed from the smoking wreckage of an aircraft after the disaster in Guatemala, he fell from a cliff in North Africa, sat on the waters of the Mekon River in Indochina, died of thirst in the Libyan desert, tried to steal captured comrades from a hostile African tribe. About Saint-Exupery (as his comrades called him) were composed "heroic legends". He was called the knight of the sky. But we also know him as a knight of the feather. The books of the writer-pilot tell about flying adventures, about the courage of comrades, thinking about the sky, about the earth. While recovering from a severe accident, he wrote "The Planet of the People" in 1939.

In the early 40s. Exupery had the hardest time. France was occupied by Nazi Germany. He was forced to live in exile in America. Deprived of his native land, sky, he could only dream of flying. It was then, in 1943, that he worked on the fairy tale "The Little Prince". What is the story about? It was there, in childhood, that he seeks answers to the most troubling questions. What is friendship, loyalty, love? The author says that you must not forget your own childhood, you need to hear it in yourself constantly, then there will be more meaning and responsibility in the actions of an adult..

But is everything so good in the adult world?

Teacher. The little hero of the fairy tale enters the world of adults, and much becomes incomprehensible to him, causes bewilderment and upset. Why? The work of analysts-researchers of the Little Prince's travels will help us to answer this question. And experts will help you evaluate the work done and draw conclusions.

Question. When and under what circumstances do we meet with the prince?

Children's answers

Teacher ... What planet did M.P. what did onami look like, let's dream up

Expert ... The prince receives his planet and the Rose, but at the same time says that he has not yet learned to love.

Question ... Isn't this the reason that the little prince goes on a journey? How does the prince appear at this moment?

Analyst ... Sad, lonely, because he didn't have a friend.

The rose gives a lot of trouble to the prince, and it also happens because he did not know how to love, appreciate a friend. Many more disappointments await him before he realizes whom he left.

Teacher ... Together with migratory birds, the Little Prince travels to the nearest asteroid planets, where he meets their inhabitants - adults.

Apprentice (Planet 325)

On the first planet visited by the little prince, he metking who sees everyone as a subject and cannot live a minute without issuing orders or decrees. The king presents this world in a simplified way, because he looks down at it. Unlimited power and unquestioning obedience are the ultimate in his dreams. The little prince was at first delighted: “I wish I had such power!” And when the king invites him to be Minister of Justice, he refuses. There is no one to judge, and one can judge oneself anywhere, not necessarily on this planet.

The main feature of the king is lust for power, arrogance.

He goes to the blackboard and after the story, attaches a piece of paper with the inscription “arrogant".

Apprentice2 (Planet 326). Meeting with an ambitious person.

The inhabitant of this planet is delighted with himself.

“Clap your hands,” he says to the Little Prince.

“I admire, - said the little prince, shrugging his shoulders slightly, - but what joy do you get from that?”

And he fled from the ambitious.

“Really, adults are very weird people”, - he just thought as he set off.

home negative trait, I consider, -ambition.

On a leaf - ambitiousnarcissistic.

Apprentice 3. (Planet 327)

The inhabitant of this planet plunged the prince into despair. He feels sorry for the bitter drunkard who cannot find the strength to break out of the vicious circle of painful addiction. “I want to forget that I am ashamed,” the drunkard admitted and hung his head. "Why are you ashamed?" the prince asked. He really wanted to help the poor man.

Ashamed to live!

Yes, really, adults are very strange people, - he thought, continuing on his way.

The main feature is weak will.

On a leaf - weak-willed.

Student 4. (Planet 328)

The inhabitant of the planet is busy counting the stars meaninglessly. He wants to turn the beauty of the stars into property, to hide it in a safe. According to the hero, a businessman engaged in senseless counting of stars cannot be human. He died, because in his life he never smelled a flower, never loved anyone, never did anything.

Why do you own the stars?

To be rich.

Why be rich?

To buy more stars.

I count them, I count them.

To which the Little Prince replies: "But the stars are of no use to you."

The main trait of the planet's inhabitant is greed, greed.

Apprentice 5. (Planet 329)

On this planet, the Little Prince meets with a lamplighter. Working with him is admired by the Little Prince.

“Great activity. It's really useful because it's beautiful. ” From the people he met, he singles out the lamplighter especially: for faithfulness to the word, for hard work, despite laziness, he illuminates the way for people, for thinking not only of himself. But at the same time, the little prince is perplexed:

Why did you light the lantern again?

Such an agreement.

I don't understand, - the little prince admitted.

And there is nothing to understand, - said the lamplighter. - An agreement is an agreement.

And at the end, the little prince says:

I would stay, but he has a tiny planet. There is no room for two.

The main feature, I believe, is indiscretion.

Apprentice 6. (Planet 400)

The inhabitant of that planet is a geographer. At first she seems real to the baby, but very soon the prince became disappointed in him, because he never left the office and learns about everything interesting by hearsay. He is not even interested in his own planet, because he considers himself too important a person and he has no time. But it is the geographer who makes the Little Prince remember his Rose, think and feel sorry for her. “My beauty (flower) and joy are short-lived,” the prince said to himself, “and she has nothing to defend herself with from the world: she only has four thorns. And I left her, and she was left all alone on my planet ”

The geographer advises the prince to visit planet Earth, "which has a good reputation."

The main feature is indifference to everything beautiful. This is a false scientist.

Teacher. With what feelings did the Little Prince leave the planet?

Why was he so lonely there? Uncomfortable?

Teacher. And what feelings does the Little Prince feel when he is on planet Earth?

Pupils ... He sees that the people here are the same as on the planets he visited. He is sad and lonely.

What a strange planet. Quite dry, covered in needles and salty. And people lack imagination. They only repeat what they say.

Teacher. And who comes to the aid of the prince on Earth?

Students. Fox.

Teacher. Why Fox?

Pupils ... A fabulous image, folk wisdom.

Teacher ... This meeting is very important in a fairy tale. Now we will see a re-enactment of this moment. Be very careful at this time. And in notebooks, as you view it, write down those two important secrets that the Fox reveals to the Little Prince.

So:

 • "We are responsible for those we have tamed."
 • "Only the heart is sharp-sighted."

How did you understand these secrets?

Expert ... Exupery claims that nothing can interfere with the friendship of a person with a person and other living beings, except for the person himself. Everyone wants to be tamed. The fox insinuatingly and persistently asks the Little Prince about this, he even teaches him tenderness and gradualness, loyalty and perseverance. Both the prince and the Fox need this friendship equally. And the Little Prince needed her even more, because it was the Fox who taught him to love. He taught that “love cannot be abstract, love is always concrete”, and explained this (to him and to the readers) using the example of the love of the Little Prince for the Rose. And when he saw many roses on the ground, it seemed to him that none of them could compare with his Rose. She was flighty and capricious, she was picky and arguing, she even offended the Little Prince who raised her. But she was his Rose, he knew her habits and stupidity, her resentments and joys. With his love, he made her uniquely beautiful and unique. The little prince understood all this thanks to the friendship of the Fox, understood and felt, and yearned for his Rose, and wanted to return to her so that he would never leave her again.

Teacher. And now he is returning to his planet. Why? His Rose is there. And he is responsible for her.

Outcome : My Rose is the only one because I tamed her.

Teacher

The little prince dies, turning to the Snake for help (for “good poison”). The cost of his return to his planet in order to protect the Rose was the rejection of earthly existence, death. And this is his feat. Despite the "good poison", the Little Prince is still hurt and scared.

But this is a fairy tale, and any fairy tale should end well. The little prince returned to his rose, with what words he could address her.

The little prince is gone, but he always returns to those who wholeheartedly accepted the laws presented by the Fox.(The song "The Little Prince" is played, music by MN Tariverdiev). Then for them the stars bloom in the night sky, and among them is the one where the little prince lives, where his laughter sounds. He fills the hearts of people with living water, like music, and kindles in them a flame of love, a flame of mercy. And millions of lights merge into one brightly burning fire of love! And kindness treads kingly on the earth. After all, what could be more beautiful kind heartwhere the most merciful laws live! Open your hearts towards each other.

Reviews

Hello Timofey! I reread your crossword puzzle again and remembered my own. Unfortunately, there is no way to reproduce them here. But in some cases this is not necessary. These "separate cases" (from different things) I want to offer you. Can you guess? Try it.
1. An uninvited guest is worse than a Tatar (for an Armenian and a Bulgarian, 5 letters). 2. Ancestor of the Medici clan (profession, 4 letters). 3. Andrew is not a Jew, but a French writer (last name, 3 letters). 4. Pope Carlo, who turned into Carla Chernomor (surname, 5 letters). 5. Peter's creation on the Russian throne (9 letters). 6. A place for Sveta, who took candy without asking (4 letters). 7. German, because of whom Russian children are not allowed on the street (2 letters).
Perhaps that's enough. You are already an adult: do not be offended if something is very simple. I will write the answers later. Or maybe two words are enough: "That's right."

Why aren't you writing, Timofey? I will not bother you: I quote, as promised, the answers.
1. Turk. 2. Doctor (otherwise - a medic). 3. The Jew (André, 1869-1951). 4. Marx (the same - Karl, 1818-1883). 5. Elizabeth (Petrovna, on the throne in 1741-1761). 6. Angle. 7. Ohm. ("You don't know Om - stay at home!")

Hi! The hardest thing, I think, is with "Papa Carlo". You already have a bad idea. And in our time, who did not know three beards! The joke was with the words: "Karl Marx began, Friedrich Engels finished." It's about their book "Capital" and how fools are born. But the "perestroika" ended, the former "teachers of wisdom" were appointed evil wizards, and then they began to completely forget. In 1955 I was amazed: they no longer recognize it in a portrait! I thought they were pretending. Now little is startling. But complete: I must have bothered you with my memories. I wish you all the best! And health and success!

The "little prince" of the planet and their inhabitants

The little prince, having quarreled with the rose, goes on a journey, leaving the flower alone. The little prince travels to several planets, where he meets different adults. Each planet is inhabited by one person. He looks with amazement at their spiritual values and cannot understand them. "They are strange people, adults!" he says.

1. Asteroid King
The king lived on the first asteroid. Dressed in purple and ermine, he sat on a throne, very simple and yet stately.

2. Asteroid Ambitious
The ambassador considered himself the most popular and famous. But his celebrity was not manifested in anything, since he lived on the planet alone. I wanted fame, honor, but did nothing for this: not a single good deed, not my own development.

3. Drunkard Asteroid
The little prince stayed with the drunkard for a very short time, but after that he became very sad. When he arrived on this planet, the Drunkard sat silently and looked at the hordes of bottles lined up in front of him, empty and full.

4. Business Man Asteroid
The fourth planet belonged to a business man. He was so busy that he didn't even raise his head when the little prince appeared.

5. Asteroid Lantern
The fifth planet was very interesting. She turned out to be the smallest. All that was placed on it was a lantern and a lamplighter. The little prince could not understand in any way why a lantern and a lamplighter were needed on a tiny planet, lost in the sky, where there are no houses or inhabitants.

6. Asteroid Geographer
The sixth planet was ten times the size of the previous one. There lived an old man who wrote thick books.

7. Planet Earth
So, the seventh planet he visited was Earth.
Earth is not an easy planet! It has one hundred and eleven kings (including, of course, Negro), seven thousand geographers, nine hundred thousand businessmen, seven and a half million drunkards, three hundred and eleven million ambitious - a total of about two billion adults.

Little Prince Travel Map

1st planet (10th chapter) - king;

2nd planet (11th chapter) - ambitious;

3rd planet (12th chapter) - drunkard;

4th planet (13th chapter) - business person;

5th planet (14th chapter) - lamplighter;

6th planet (15th chapter) - geographer.

Having visited these six planets, the Little Prince rejects people's false ideas about power, happiness, duty. And only at the end of his journey, having enriched life experience, he learns the true essence of these moral concepts. This happens on Earth.

Arriving on planet Earth, the little prince saw roses: “they all looked like his flower”. “And he felt very, very unhappy. His beauty told him that there were no others like her in the entire universe. And here in front of him are five thousand exactly the same flowers! " The boy realized that his rose was the most ordinary flower, and he wept bitterly.

It was only thanks to Fox that he realized that his rose was “the only one in the whole world”. The little prince says to the roses: “You are beautiful, but empty. I don't want to die for you. Of course, a casual passer-by, looking at my rose, will say that it is exactly the same as you. But she is dearer to me than all of you. After all, it was her, and not you, I watered every day. He covered her, not you, with a glass cover ... I listened to her, even when she was silent. She is mine".

Love is a complex science, it turns out that you need to comprehend it, you need to learn love. The fox helps the Little Prince to comprehend this complex science, and the little boy bitterly admits to himself: “You should never listen to what flowers say. You just have to look at them and breathe their aroma. My flower gave a fragrance to my entire planet, but I did not know how to rejoice in it ...

It was necessary to judge not by words, but by deeds. She gave me her scent, illuminated my life. I shouldn't have run. For these pitiful tricks and tricks I should have guessed tenderness ... But I was too young, I still did not know how to love.

This is how the Little Prince comprehends the science of love and the measure of responsibility towards those whom he has tamed.

In 1943, the work of interest to us was first published. Let's talk briefly about the background of its creation, and then we will analyze it. "The Little Prince" is a work that was inspired by an incident that happened to its author.

In 1935, Antoine de Saint-Exupery was in a plane crash during a flight from Paris to Saigon. He ended up on the territory located in the Sahara, in its northeastern part. Memories of this accident and the invasion of the Nazis prompted the author to think about the responsibility for the Earth of people, about the fate of the world. In 1942, he wrote in his diary that he was worried about his generation, devoid of spiritual content. People lead a herd existence. Returning spiritual concerns to a person is the task that the writer set himself.

Who is the work dedicated to?

The story we are interested in is dedicated to Leon Werth, a friend of Antoine. This is important to note when conducting analysis. "The Little Prince" is a story in which everything is filled with deep meaning, including dedication. After all, Leon Werth is a Jewish writer, journalist, critic who suffered persecution during the war. This dedication was not just a tribute to friendship, but also a bold challenge from the writer to anti-Semitism and Nazism. IN hard times created his story-fairy tale Exupery. He fought against violence with words and illustrations, which he manually created for his work.

Two worlds in a story

Two worlds are represented in this story - adults and children, as our analysis shows. "The Little Prince" is a work in which this division is made not by age. For example, a pilot is an adult, but he managed to keep a child's soul. The author divides people according to ideals and ideas. For adults, the most important are their own affairs, ambition, wealth, power. And the child's soul longs for something else - friendship, mutual understanding, beauty, joy. Antithesis (children and adults) helps to reveal the main conflict of the work - the opposition of two different systems of values: real and false, spiritual and material. It deepens further. Having left the planet, the little prince on his way meets "strange adults", whom he cannot understand.

Travel and dialogue

The composition is based on travel and dialogue. The general picture of the existence of humanity losing its moral values is recreated by the meeting with the "adults" of the little prince.

The main character travels in the story from asteroid to asteroid. He visits, first of all, the nearest, on which people live alone. Each asteroid has a number, like an apartment in a modern multi-storey building. These figures contain a hint of the separation of people who live in neighboring apartments, but live on different planets. For the little prince, meeting the inhabitants of these asteroids becomes a lesson in loneliness.

Meeting with the king

On one of the asteroids lived a king, who looked at the whole world, like other kings, in a very simplified way. For him, subjects are all people. However, the king was tormented by this question: "Who is to blame for the fact that his orders are impracticable?" The king taught the prince that it is harder to judge oneself than others. Having mastered this, you can become truly wise. The lover of power loves power, not subjects, and therefore is deprived of the latter.

The prince visits the planet of the ambitious

An ambitious person lived on another planet. But vain people are deaf to everything except praise. Only the glory loves the ambitious, and not the public, and therefore remains without the latter.

Drunkard planet

Let's continue the analysis. The little prince goes to the third planet. His next meeting is with a drunkard, concentrating on himself and ultimately getting completely confused. This person is ashamed of what he drinks. However, he drinks in order to forget about conscience.

Business man

A business man owned the fourth planet. As the analysis of the fairy tale "The Little Prince" shows, the meaning of his life was that one should find something that does not have an owner and appropriate it. A business man counts riches that are not his: one who only saves for himself could just as well count the stars. The little prince cannot understand the logic by which adults live. He concludes that it is beneficial for his flower and volcanoes, that he owns them. But the stars do not benefit from such possession.

Lamplighter

And only on the fifth planet does the main character find a person with whom he wants to make friends. This is a lamplighter, whom everyone would despise, since he thinks not only of himself. However, his planet is tiny. There is no room for two. The lamplighter works in vain, because he does not know for whom.

Meeting with a geographer

The geographer, who writes thick books, lived on the sixth planet, which he created in his story Exupery ("The Little Prince"). The analysis of the work would be incomplete if we did not say a few words about him. He is a scientist, and beauty is ephemeral to him. Nobody needs scientific work. Without love for a person, it turns out, everything is meaningless - honor, power, labor, science, conscience, and capital. The little prince also leaves this planet. The analysis of the work continues with a description of our planet.

Little Prince on Earth

The last place the prince visited was Strange Earth. When he arrives here, the title character of Exupery's "The Little Prince" feels even more lonely. The analysis of the work when describing it should be more detailed than when describing other planets. After all, the author pays special attention in the story to the Earth. He notes that this planet is not at all home, it is "salty", "all in needles" and "completely dry." It's uncomfortable to live on it. Its definition is given through images that seemed strange to the little prince. The boy notes that this planet is not easy. It is ruled by 111 kings, there are 7 thousand geographers, 900 thousand businessmen, 7.5 million drunkards, 311 million ambitious.

The protagonist's travels continue in the following sections. He meets, in particular, a switchman directing the train, but people do not know where they are going. The boy then sees a merchant who sells thirst pills.

The little prince feels lonely among the people who live here. Analyzing life on Earth, he notes that there are so many people on it that they cannot feel like one whole. Millions remain strangers to each other. What do they live for? A lot of people are rushing in fast trains - why? Neither pills nor fast trains connect people. And the planet will not become a home without it.

Friendship with the Fox

After analyzing the "Little Prince" by Exupery, we found out that the boy is bored on Earth. And Fox, another hero of the work, has a boring life. Both of them are looking for a friend. The fox knows how to find him: you need to tame someone, that is, create a bond. And the main character realizes that there are no shops where you can buy a friend.

The author describes the life before the meeting with the boy, led by the Fox from the story "The Little Prince". allows us to note that before this meeting he was only fighting for his existence: he was hunting chickens, and hunters hunted him. The fox, having tamed, escaped from the circle of defense and attack, fear and hunger. It is to this hero that the formula "only the heart is vigilant" belongs. Love can be transferred to many other things. Having made friends with the main character, the Fox will love everything else in the world. The near in his mind is connected with the distant.

Pilot in the desert

It is easy to imagine the planet as home in the habitable places. However, in order to understand what a home is, you need to be in the desert. Exupery's analysis of The Little Prince suggests this very idea. In the desert, the protagonist met a pilot, with whom he later became friends. The pilot was here not only because of a malfunction of the aircraft. He was bewitched by the desert all his life. The name of this desert is loneliness. The pilot understands an important secret: there is meaning in life when there is someone to die for. A desert is a place in which a person feels a thirst for communication, thinks about the meaning of existence. It reminds us that the earth is the home of man.

What did the author want to tell us?

The author wants to say that people have forgotten one simple truth: they are responsible for their planet, as well as for those they have tamed. If we all understood this, there probably would be no wars and economic problems. But people are very often blind, do not listen to their own hearts, leave their home, looking for happiness far from their relatives and friends. Antoine de Saint-Exupery did not write his tale "The Little Prince" for fun. The analysis of the work carried out in this article, we hope, has convinced you of this. The writer addresses all of us, urging us to carefully look at those around us. After all, these are our friends. They must be protected, according to Antoine de Saint-Exupery ("The Little Prince"). We will finish the analysis of the work here. We invite readers to reflect on this story on their own and continue the analysis with their own observations.
