36 counselors and 14 teachers were named the best - they received the annual counselor nomination “Solar Sail”.
The awards were held in the following categories: “Pro” - for counselors who have worked in country camps for several years and “Discovery” - for those who have just started working as counselors. For the second year in a row, at the Gathering of Moscow Counselors, awards were given in the “Special Hero” category. The work of the counselors was noted here, who, despite the force majeure circumstances that occurred during the shift, managed to overcome difficulties and were primarily guided by the interests of the child in every decision they made.
“Six counselors received awards in the “Special Hero” category. They worked with children with disabilities and orphans, and also supported children in force majeure situations. For example, MOSGORTUR counselor Maria Nikolaeva stayed with a sick girl for three days after her shift, who was forbidden to fly to Moscow. Maria supported the child and her mother, staying in touch around the clock. Such examples prove that leadership is not about a job for 21 days, but about professionalism, kindness and responsibility.”, - said Deputy General Director of MOSGORTUR Andrey Avdeev.
It is important that not only experienced counselors received statuettes in the “Special Hero” category, but also those who just started working as counselors.
“We had a girl in our squad who was hearing impaired. We, not knowing sign language, found a way to communicate with her, helped her adapt to the camp, find new friends and have a wonderful vacation. It was for such attention to children that my colleague and I received the “Solar Sail” figurine. This nomination was a pleasant surprise for me! On the evening of June 13, the concert hall of the children's health complex "Ural birch" turned into the sea. It was a boiling, seething, noisy, restless sea of children who came to the “Best Counselor” competition. They came to watch, cheer and support their favorite counselors. Everyone wanted to declare to the whole world and our entire Universe: “My counselor is the best!”
It is clear that each participant in the competition feels a special responsibility, everyone strives to be the best - according to at least, for my guys. The presenter and shift leader Elena Stolbova announces: the contestants will have to show a business card, a creative number, find a solution in a pedagogical situation, the “Surprise Me” competition and a spontaneous competition.
It wasn’t easy for the counselors, but in order to prove that they were the best, the counselors did everything: they sang, danced, read poetry, confessed their love to the children and answered various tricky questions. It was not easy to find the answer, but it was necessary: so that the authoritative jury would not be disappointed. What to do if a child takes a cutlet out of the cafeteria? What if the child complains that he is sick? What if you were boycotted? What if the children broke the chandelier? What if the fire alarm went off?
Each counselor offers his own solution. For example, Anya Aksyonova from the third squad decided to return the child to the dining room so that he could eat his cutlet within the walls of the culinary temple - to the last crumb! Tough, but effective.
Olya, Olya! Ksyusha! Ksyusha! Natasha! Natasha! Nastya! Nastya! Lena! Lena! - the screams and applause of the fans were often deafening and overlapping each other. But the loudest screams were from the children from the third squad (probably a team of future opera singers or rock musicians):

The most interesting thing: how they looked into the water. Looking ahead, I will say that Anya really won. By the way, at the presentation of the business card it was presented by “Zhorik Vartanov, presenter of Pyatigorsk television” - with a unique Caucasian accent. And Anya's dance numbers, of course, were the best. As it turned out, she works in a professional group at Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University and participates in the musical “Amadeus.” In a word, the girl amazed everyone. By the way, she herself vacationed in a camp as a child. "Ural birch" and even then I dreamed of becoming a counselor.
There were many bright personalities on stage, and all of them were warmly supported by their troops. I remember cool dance Olya Startsun and Katya Sokolova, the irresistible charm of Natasha Gelmanova, the elegant grace of Ksyusha Kalinina, the sparkling love of life of Lena Mikhalchenko. It was a very touching moment when the counselors talked about their love for their children. Lena admitted that when she leaves for the weekend, she really doesn’t want to leave her guys. Ksyusha said that she feels the children, and they feel her, and that’s why she loves them very much. Nastya believes that the most important thing is to see children’s eyes light up. She rejoices when they shout to her when they meet: “Nastya, Nastya!” And Olya said that the most worthy life is a life lived for the sake of children.
In a word, we were all convinced that the counselor is a fabulous person. It’s not for nothing that Lena Stolbova recalled the words from a popular song: “What a delicate job - to make at least someone happy. Bring a flower of good luck, save them from loneliness, and then quietly leave.”
The program concluded with the “Surprise Me” competition. Personally, I was very surprised by the counselor of the Ural specialized camp, Olya Startsun, a future mathematics teacher. She dances rock and roll great and jumps as high as anyone! It’s interesting that the counselors surprised us by dancing to music from old films and favorite cartoons, which was very warm and cheerful. Anya Aksyonova unexpectedly danced to Russian folk song youth dance "hard bass".
While the jury was summing up the results, the audience managed to dance incredibly popular dances in our camp - “Arivu” and “DJ, come on, come on.” The audience was so upset that shift leader Katya Bondarenko had to add metal to her voice and threaten to expel the most violent ones from the hall.
And then the results of the competition were solemnly announced. So, freeze, gentlemen! The most charming counselor is Natasha Gelmanova, 5th planet. The most popular is Ksenia Skvortsova, 6th planet. The coolest is Anya Aksyonova, 3rd planet. The most creative is Nastya Kostyuk, 10th planet. The most caring is Olga Rud, 9th planet. The most positive is Lena Mikhalchenko, 7th planet. The most serious is Elvina Samatova, 9th planet.
And finally it was resolved main intrigue evenings. Third place was won by Olga Startsun, a counselor at the Ural specialized camp. Second place went to Ksyusha Kalinina, 4th planet, and first place went to Anya Aksyonova, 3rd planet. She received the title “Best Counselor”; she was incredibly happy and touched.
