When the boy was 9 years old, the parents divorced. In 1958, Mama Jimmy died. He brought up his grandmother and grandfather, vancouver variety actors. In early youth, I bought a guitar and played a guitar for all day or listened to the plates of bi bi king, Robert Johnson and Elmor James. School never finished.

Youth is hooligan. For the hijacking Machine, Jimmy pleased with the bars for 2 years. After a while, a lawyer managed to replace the prison for 2 years in the army. There Hendrix stayed for a long time, demobilized due to injury. Army characteristics of Jimmy bad - he was accused of impipline and unreliable.

Musical career

Returning from the army, Hendrix settled in Clarksville, where Billy Cox was created by the King Kasuals group. Then they lived in Nashville, where they played in clubs on Jefferson Street. In 1964, Jimmy moved to New York. He worked as an invited artist with Sam Cook, and Dr. Hendrix founded the "The Rain Flowers" group, later renamed to "The Blue Flames".

A friend got a friend, Linda Kit. She was shocked by a musician game. Linda could not believe that such a virtuoso could be unknown. The girl introduced Hendrque with the producer cheerful chandler. A contract was signed, a new group "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" was established, in which bassist Noel Redding and Drummer Mitch Mitchell entered the bassist.

Work with Cafe meant moving to England. Among other benefits, opening when moving, Jimmy Hendrix allocated acquaintance with. Chandler replied that when Eric hears the game Jimmy, would suggest to meet himself.

The Debut Album "Are You Experienced" is recognized as fans and musical critics as the most successful in rock music. With the release of the album Jimmy Hendrix became a megazvera. In Britain, the album only gave way to the album of the "The Beatles" group. The album did not enter the song from the American version of the album "Purple Haze", which took 1 place in the list of 100 of the greatest guitar records in the magazine "Q" and 2 place in the list of 100 greatest guitar records in the Rolling Stone magazine. "Purple Haze" consider Hippie anthem.

In 2003, VH1 TV channel set "Are You Experienced" to fifth place in the list of the greatest albums of all time.

"AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE" - the second album of the group, created in the romantic-psychedelic genre. Reveals Hendrque as a musician with a shaped style. The song "Bold As Love", which entered this album will remain in history by an example of a musician masterly guitar solo. The output of the album could not take place. On the eve of the term of delivery, Jimmy lost the original record of the first side of the disk. I had to collect a master recording from records of scattered parties.

Jimmy Hendrix and the group "The Jimi Hendrix Experience"

In the spring of 1968, the ELECTRIC Ladyland's third album began in New York. The work went slowly because it was interrupted by concerts. Hendrix wanted to achieve perfection in the records, again and again making duplicas. Attracted for records of musicians from the side. The result exceeded bold expectations - the album, according to the total sales of the first week, received the status of the "Gold Album". After the release of "Electric Ladyland", the Hendrque "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" has become one of the most popular in the world.

One of the songs performed by the "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" group is "Hey, Joe". The song was known long before the performance of Jimmy Hendrix, but only in the execution of a cult guitarist acquired world famous fame. The motive composition does not represent a special musical value. The song has a simple text telling about shooting in Mexico a loser of a husband who killed his wrong wife. However, at the time when Jimmy Hendrix played her, War was walking in Vietnam. President of the United States at that time was Lindon Johnson. People reworked the quatrasion from "Hey, Joe", addressing the president and accusing the death of soldiers in Vietnam.

Caverits of this song still play performers from different musical directions. It takes 21st place among hard-rock songs in VH1 version, is included in the 500 greatest music works according to the "ROLLING STONE". The song was performed, "Deep Purple", and others.

Jimmy Hendrix was distinguished by another feature. A breathtaking style in clothes was the subject of the envy of fashionists around the world. The image did not like the appearance of a typical rock musician - Jimmy did not carry crumpled jeans and dirty T-shirts, the hair did not hide for long-haired cosmas. Hendriks style - Acid color shirts with psychedelic pattern, unbuttoned upper buttons and raised collar.

He put on vintage vests, military jackets with all sorts of epolutes and galuns belonging to the actual troops. Bright Bandans and Shawls Jimmy talked on her hand or leg. Rock legends chips - catchy ornaments and a constant round medallion on the neck.

At the Festival of Pop Music in Monterey (California), Handricks at the end of the virtuoso speech set up a guitar and smashed in front of the amazed public. Jimmy himself explained the booty act as:

"I decided to destroy my guitar at the end of the song as a sacrifice. You sacrifice things that love. I love my guitar. "

Photo by Jimmy Hendrix, standing in front of a blazing guitar on his knees with splashing hands, was a cult in the history of rock. And Hendricks hit the hospital with his hands burns.

The best concert performance of Jimmy Hendrix is \u200b\u200bconsidered to show the performance at the festival in Woodstock in August 1969.

Not accepted the popularity of Jimmy Hendrix and the USSR. In 1973, the "First Russian Psychedelic Album" "Cherry Garden Jimmy Hendrix" came out. It is written on a magnetic film in a home studio Yury Morozov, together with Sergey Luzin and Nina Morozova. In 1975, the album was reprinted with a vinyl version with a tiny circulation - 500 pieces.

Personal life

The personal life of the rock musician was interested in fans less musical activity - nothing is known about his girls. The only confirmed Passion of Hendrque, who became a witness of his death, was Monica Dannean.

Death

At the end of August 1970, Jimmy Hendrix was the last time at the British Festival "Isle Of Wight". On September 6, on the stage of the ISLE OF FEHMARN festival, the artist met a cold reception of the public. The artist won 13 songs. Until the last day, Jimmy did not leave London.

On the morning of September 18, 1970, Jimmy Hendrix was taken to a carriage from the hotel "Samarkand". According to the doctor, at the time of arrival soon Jimmy was dead. On the eve he spent time with his girlfriend, a German monica Daneman. According to the results of the examination, the artist died in bed, caught by the vomit in the overdose of sleeping pills. According to Monica, she slowed down with a challenge soon due to the fact that he was afraid to get into the police, since in the room where there was a couple that night, there were drugs.

Jim Hendrix died at the age of 27. Jimmy Hendrix buried in the city of Renton, Washington, in the Greenwood Memorial Park. He himself dreamed of being buried in England.

Memory

The posthumous discography of the genius guitar was more than 500 albums. In 1997, a posthumous album of Jimmy Hendrix "First Rays of the New Rising Sun" came out, which gathered the best creative work of the 1968-1969 period. The collection includes songs over which he worked at the end of life, preparing them for a new album. Famous of them: "Night Bird Flying", "Angel", "Dolly Dagger", "Hey Baby" and "In From The Storm".

On September 18, 2010, the world premiere of the documentary biographical film director Bob Smithon's director "Jimmy Hendrix: Voodoo Child" took place. It uses records from concerts, family archives with correspondence, photographs and drawings.

In many cities, jazz and blues clubs of Hendrque, where you can listen to live music.

On September 7, 2013, at the Film Festival in Toronto, John Ridley film was shown "Jimmy: everything is on my side." The painting in artistic form tells about the beginning of the career of the starry artist Jimmy Hendrix performed by Andre Benjamin. The plot talks about the release of the first album "Are You Experience".

According to the magazine "Rolling Stone", the musical part of the film was weak because of the relatives of Hendrix, who inherited rights. They refused to allow Jimmy's songs in the film, demanding more participation of the Experience Hendrix LLC company, which represents their interests in the shooting. Therefore, the painting sounded songs of other authors.

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (nee Johnny Allen Hendrix; February 27, 1942, H. September 18, 1970) is a generally recognized king of an electric guitar and one of the most influential musicians of the twentieth century. His star career lasted only four years, but it turned out to be quite enough to enter the name of the artist with gold letters in the story of Rock and give an example to follow the subsequent generations. And although Hendricks did not know how to read nor write notes, his innovative style, combining FUSZ, FIDBEK and controlled distortion, gave birth to previously unheard of musical forms. As a child, James imitated the game on the guitar with the help of a broom, and when his father noticed his interest, then a little improved the "instrument", giving the son the old one-in-law of Ukulele. In fifteen years, the guy received a used acoustic guitar from his parent, after which he immediately joined the group "The Velvetones". The next summer, his father was cleared of a full-fledged power tool "Supro Ozark 1560s", and the New Team of Hendrque became "The Rocking Kings".

In 1961, James was taken to the army, but even during the service he did not throw his passion, and when his division was deployed in Kentucky, he, along with Billy Billy, organized the ensemble "The King Casuals". After receiving an injury when jumping with a parachute, Handricks was demobilized, after which under the name Jimmy James began working as a session guitarist. By the end of 1965, he had already replayed with many musicians, among which there were such famous personalities as Ik and Tina Turner, Siel Brothers, Sam Cook and Little Richard. Having left the last of them, James screamed his own band "Jimmy James and The Blue Flames" and thereby turned from a simple accompaniment in the lead guitarist and the group leader.

In 1966, when the musician and his team wanted to Greenwich-Williage's little clubs, he was surrounded by Bes Chandler. The bass player "Animals" turned into a black guitar guitar talent in Hendrque, persuaded to change his name on Jimi and move to London. There, the Jimi Hendrix Experience group was collected specifically for the new genius, which included Mitch Mitchell's drummer and bass guitarist Noel Redding. The debut "experimental" single "Hey Joe" ran into British charts 10 weeks, and in early 1967 he reached the sixth position. An even larger success expected the full-length "Are You Experienced?", Appeared on store shelves in May of the same year. The plate spent on the lists for eight months and stopped at the second step only because the Beatlovsky "Sergeant Pepper" was renounced on the first. Anyway, "Are You Experienceed?" He became one of the fundamental rock albums of all times and peoples, and such things like "Purple Haze", "Foxey Lady", "Fire", "The Wind Cries Mary" entered the Golden Psychedelic Foundation.

And although England immediately recognized Gendrix's genius, America refrained from excessive emotions while "Jimi Hendrix Experience" did not appeal to the "Monterey International Pop Festival". At this festival, Jimi demonstrated not only outstanding musical abilities, but also an outstanding shower deposit. That he did not get out with a guitar: he played behind his back and tweaked the string with his teeth, and then in general it was a lot of "Stratocaster". Literally in one night "JHE" turned into a real superstar, and as a result of the label demanded the speedy release of the second plate. However, by giving way to the wishes of the publisher's company, Handricks took the personally to control the studio process, and any press of the button or switching the toggler was subjected to its close attention. In principle, "Axis: Bold As Love" retained the psychedelic orientation of its predecessor, but things like "Little Wing", "Castles Made of Sand", "One Rainy Wish" reflected both the lyrical side of "Experience".

As the popularity of the "experimenters" increases and the drug addiction of Hendrque increased. Quarrels with colleagues (and especially with Redding) became the usual phenomenon, and when the perfectionist counselor of the session turned into chaos, there was a chandler managerial powers. Nevertheless, in October 1968, the group returned with a powerful double album "Electric Ladyland", a couple of weeks headed the list of "Billboard". The program featured various stylized compositions: Popular "Burning of the Midnight Lamp, Blues Jam" Voodoo Chile ", New Orleans R & B" Come On ", Studio Epic" 1983 ... (A Merman I Should Turn to Be) " Brit-pop "Little Miss Strange", and the avant-garde alteration of the Dylanovskaya classic "All Along The Wathtower" and a magnificent sample of guitar work "Voodoo Child (" Slight Return ") received the greatest fame. One way or another, "Electric Ladyland" became the latest album for "JHE", and in 1969 the group broke up.

In the same summer, Hendrix performed on the legendary Woodstock, where he was accompanied by the "The Gypsy Sun & Rainbows" team. However, this formation existed for a short time, and soon the Band of Gypsis ensemble appeared in her place, in which Billy Cox and Drummer "Electric Flag" Buddi Miles became partners of Jimi. With the "Gypsies", Hendrix conducted a number of speeches and released a concert album, but after he returned to the Mitchell group and decided to revive the "Jimi Hendrix Experience". Closing in the studio, the Trinity began to prepare the album "First Rays of the New Rising Sun", but the guitarist never managed to see the end of the project - September 18, 1970, Hendrix was found dead in the London Hotel "Samarkand". However, Jimi left unnecessary material and any rareness, and for several subsequent decades, posthumous albums were published on their basis.

Last Update 06/06/11

Neborn Johnny Allen Hendrix (Johnny Allen Hendrix), which appeared on November 27, 1942 in Seattle, Washington, subsequently received another name from his father - James Marshall Hendrix. A man who erected guitar skills in high art rank, early took a tool in his hands and learned to play as obsessed. He was self-taught and perfectly managed with a guitar as right and left hand.

With the blues heritage of the American south, Jimi acquainted, learning the records of numerous performers - from (B.B. King). He still began to play in local R & B-groups, which quickly replaced one after another. Higher education replaced him by the army, where Jimi mastered the wisdom of the parachute service. It was here that he met Billy Cox (Billy Cox), a bassist in a peaceful life, with whom he had to meet more than once at different stages of his career. In the meantime, they create a group King Kasuals, which will try to reanimate for a short time, when they return to civil life. Hendrix was demobilized in July 1962, after damaged the right ankle.

The source of the existence and the meaning of his life is music. As a concert guitarist, he travels a lot, accompanying Impressions, Sam Cook, Valentinos and other teams. The chance to learn something from Matters as Isley Brothers, Little Richard and King Curtis, he used only half: long to withstand the disciplinary framework was not in its character. In any case, the musician acquired a huge professional experience, invalid for his future solo career.

By 1965, Jimi Hendrix was already firmly ass in New York. In October, he began playing the Soul-singer Kertis Knight (Curtis Knight) and signed a very strict contract with his manager Ed Chalpin. This imperfect contract is still floating in the future. And in June 66, Hendricks, calling himself already Jimmy James, gathered a group of Rainflowers, which soon renamed Jimmy James and The Blue Flames. The quartet occasionally acted in the cafe "WHA" on Greenwich Village, where he noted by the Chers Chandler (Chas Chandler), a bass guitarist of the disintegrating group ANIMALS. He convinced Hendricks to move to London and start a solo career.

In September 1966, the ANIMALS BAS-guitarist Ches Chandler led to London the phenomenal guitarist found them in the United States and engaged in the search for musicians for his future group. And from that moment began the countdown of the story of The Jimi Hendrix Experience - the group, which was destined to change the face of pop music. The drummer of the new project was Mitch Mitchell, a little-known, but already a fairly experienced musician, selected from a good ten contenders. Bass-guitarist, whose name was Noel Redding, found quite by chance. As Mitchell recalled: "He was taken only because he had a decent haircut, and, in general, he was not like the passing." When the group began rehearsals, it turned out that Noel almost first keeps the bass guitar in his hands. Nevertheless, he decided to leave him.

Laying for several weeks, the freshly baked group went to France, disperse the public before the speeches of Johnny Holidey. Immediately after returning from this Tour, the group recorded its first single "Hey Joe", which by the beginning of 1967 reached the 6th place in the charts. The next single "" exceeded the success of the first, reaching the third place. In the winter of the same year, the debut album "Are You Experienceed?" The impression of a broken bomb was recorded. It is enough to say that according to the survey of critics spent in the UK in the same year, the album took the second place, giving only one score of the legendary "SGT. Pepper" S "The Beatles. By this time, The Experience was already well known among connoisseurs, but managers We have not yet been confident that the group will "pull" solo performances and constantly "fastened" her to all dubious, from the point of view of The Experience fans, performers such as Engelbert Hamperdinka and The Monkees.

It was during this period that Jimi especially pronounced himself as a magnificent Showman. He performed in bright extravagant outfits, which was not quite familiar to the British public (remember the scenic costumes of the Bitles or early Pink Floyd). Hendrix demonstrated a virtuoso game, using spectacular tricks from Arsenal and: He played the guitar with his teeth, elbows, threw her behind his back, seeking his "Stratocaster Fander" of the sounding at that time. And on March 31, 1967, at a concert in the London "FinSburi Park Astoria", he first tagged guitar. All these tricks are associated with a good material brought The Experience to the fame of one of the best concert groups.

In 1967, the speech at the Pop Music festival in Monterter was a triumphal, and the final song, during which Hendrix burned his guitar, stolen all those present. The next day, Jimi was already a superstar. (The speech of the guitarist at the festival in Monterter was included in the documentary "Monterey Pop".)

At this time, The Experience has already begun to record the second album "AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE". The musicians worked on him much longer than above. It was then that first friction began between the group and Cendler, concerning recording producing. Ces insisted on saving full control over the recording process and information. It did not suit the musicians who, accumulating the already certain studio work experience, wanted to determine their own sound themselves. At the same time, Jimi and Noel first began to conflict among themselves. Noel did not like to strike in the studio for a long time and sometimes it happened that he left there in the midst of work. Jimi was different with phenomenal efficiency and demands. The sound engineer Eddie Kramer talked about it:

"Jimi, it happened, he drove his head out of the cabin and asks:" Is everything ok? " Are you sure? "I answer:" Yes, Jimi, this time everything turned out just perfectly, "and he says," Well, then I will try another time. "And we continued to record dupils, each of which was better than the previous one, but He still never seemed to him quite perfect. "

Shortly after the end of the work on the "AXIS" The Experience went on tour to Sweden, where Jimi began the first trouble with drugs. In Gothenburg, after the pogrom arranged by Hendrix at the hotel, the police detained him, as a result of which the chart of touring trips was broken.

In April 1968, at the Studio, the Plant record in New York was launched on the "Electric Ladyland" - the third album of the group. The recording process was stretched until September, by breaking all records of duration. The main reason for this was the fact that simultaneously with the work in the studio, The Experience was conducted by the American tour. "This required a very large voltage of the forces from us," "said Jimi," Since we were constantly returning to the already past and redo what we had to finish a few days before, but to be recorded in this way - always very tedious. Very hard , interrupting the work, to race somewhere, play concerts, and then hit the aircraft and rush back to the studio. With all this, we wanted our execution to be at the proper level. " By the mid-1968, the speeches of Hendrix became less extravagant, the guitarist focused exclusively on music, experimented a lot in his New York Studio "Electric Lady Land", played jam-seating with, with Taffic musicians. It was the tightening sessions that were the reason for the rupture of the group with Chandler, who "slammed the door" after one of them, the former particularly long. Relations between Jimi and Noel also aggravated to the limit. Noel reacted very painfully to the fact that a large number of "guests" participated in the record, and he constantly remained not from affairs.

But still, despite all the troubles, the album was finished by autumn and in September 1968 saw the light. The result exceeded all expectations. In the US, the album received the "golden" status a week after the exit. Critics had chuckled from delight, and public surveys regularly put Hendrque and The Experience on the first places among the most popular performers. Now, after many years, it became clear that this album was the top of not only the creativity of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, but also all world rock music as a whole. It was after the release of "Electric Ladyland" hendrix turned into a cult figure.

On the sale of the English edition of the album, the cover of which decorated the crowd of naked women (photos of the group participants were placed on the envelope of the American publication). As the Jimi Hendrix Experience Fan Club newsletter informed, the version of the design proposed by Jimi, "did not get into England to the beginning of the tyriage printing. Thus, the guys had to come up with something their own. This idea seemed very funny." Jimi spoke about this: "People in Britain do not like this cover, and I fully understand them. I myself never put this picture there, but it did not depend on me. In general, the English cover of this album has really accounted for a group of trouble: The album was even banned for sale in California. It is not surprising that Jimi so hated it. However, this option later design, thanks to a bloated scandal, became a kind of symbol of "conceptuality".

According to the photographer Dave King, he conceived her as something straight opposite image of a woman cultivated by the magazine "Playboy":

"On the original photo, all these natural pink tones were present, but cheap print made an image of dark, cave", and girls, according to one of them, "similar to old prostitutes."

The unprecedented success of "Electric Ladyland" turned The Experience to the superstar, and they first got the opportunity to choose themselves when and where they go with the tour. The group was just gripping in promoters: only for one 45-minute speech at the Newport Pop Festival The musicians received a unheard of a hundred thousand dollars fee. They were even invited to perform in the Philharmonic Hall of New York - the honor of which no rock band was never honored.

It seemed that the group came golden times, but, as it often happens, the highest point of the career of the group has become the beginning of its end. Not the last reason for this was the hysteria arising around The Experience. Mitch Mitchell so told about the last tour of The Experience: "We all performed on large platforms with a disgusting sound. Be our will, we would prefer them to be small clubs, where the audience would have a chance to hear anything, although they seem without It was quite well delayed. These guys, for the most part, wanted to be discrepanated as much as possible equipment and registered as much as possible guitars. We all slowly began to get it, especially Hendricks. "

In addition, the relationship between Jimi and Noel was already finally spoiled. Noel believed that Hendricks undecusively get all the laurels and did not want to put up with the role of the statist. He organized his own Fat Mattress group and even achieved it to open the speeches of The Experience in Europe. The Jimi Hendrix Experience recent concert took place at the end of June 1969 at the Mile High Stadium in Denver. After the concert, one of the journalists asked Noel: "What are you doing here? I thought you were already left from the group." Noel was very violently reacted to this, flew into England and announced his caring from the group.

Mitch played together with Jimi at the Woodstock festival (accompanying Hendrques group called Electric Sky Church) and at one charity concert, after which their ways were separated. Later, in the fall, Jimi gathered the Gypsy Orchestra (Band of Gypsys), which included his army friend, Billy Cox - bass guitar, and drummer Buddy Miles. The debut of the group took place on the eve of 1970 in the famous New York Hall of Filmor East (this concert is recorded on the record). A few months later, Hendricks disappointed with his new band of Gypsys, made an attempt to revive the Experience. The musicians gave a press conference, promised a big tour, but then Jimi and Mitch decided to give up the servant of Noel. The bandist of the group called Cry of Love became Billy Cox. In this composition, the last lifetime album of Jimi Hendricks "First Ray of the New Rising Sun" was recorded. All this time, the guitarist was grinding. The colleagues of the musicians, the recording company, the managerial team, had their own ideas about him, and everyone had their ideas about how he should do first. Since the edition of the Third Studio Album "Electric Ladyland" has passed for two years and, although the musician was constantly returned to the studio work, Long-Misa's publication was postponed many times. But not only the external circumstances were to blame for the fact that the prepared album for a long time for a long time. Hendrix himself was attached to this. The musician seemed to be in the enchanted circle, unable to choose permanent musicians, decide, in which direction to move it, bring the record to a logical completion, instead of infinitely jam. Trio - Hendrix, Mitchell and Cox - went around the country for the country with concerts shortly before the death of a musician. The last speeches of the guitarist and singer became more likely to disappointment for his fans: the expectations of the audience and his own goals were too much. And yet the final yield of Jimi Hendricks on the stage in the UK - at The Isle of Wight Festival - according to eyewitness memories, was an exciting spectacle.

The creative fate of Jimi Hendricks is inextricably linked with numerous rumors and speculations that pursued him all the "star" life. If you believe the testimonies of people who knew closely (or claim what they knew) a musician, then an exclusively contradictory portrait is made up of individual stories. First of all, this concerns his mental state and creative ideas in the last year of life. According to some critics, Jimi intended to play Jazz, according to others, his manil blues, the third believed that he was going to continue the long-started, the fourth assured that he did not understand what he did. Everyone who is trying to figure out the circumstances of his death with the same discrepancies. Ultimately, they were to blame - as in many cases before, and after it - drugs. Hendrix remained in England and in the morning of September 18, 1970 was found dead in the Room of the Hotel Samarkand in London. He spent the night with his then girlfriend, German Daneman, and died in bed, choking by the lots of the masses, after receiving 9 pill tablets. Dunman noticed that something was wrong with Jimmy, but was afraid to call an ambulance due to the drugs held everywhere. A few years later, Daneman argued that Hendrick was still alive when he was transferred to the ambulance car, but her comments on this case were very contradictory and changed to interviews. In the film-biographies of Hendrix, the doctor who duty on the ambulance then said that by the time Jimmy was taken to the hospital, it was already impossible to save him.

Jimi Hendrix was buried in the Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, Washington, USA, contrary to his desire to be buried in England.

For his 27-year-old life (he did not live two months to 28 years), Hendrix left an incredible number of studio records. Most of his heritage, including concert materials, was published over time. Some of the living albums turned out to be exceptional in quality, but as for the studio material, the unanimity was not here from the very beginning. The first posthumous editions were chaotic character (debuting the selection of "The Cry of Love"), and from the mid-70s producer Alan Douglas (Alan Douglas) took these projects under its control. He looked pretty freely with Handricks heritage, overwriting his composition and complementing them with new instrumental parties with session musicians. In the eyes of loyal fans, Jimi looked sacred, encroachment on the spirit of his work. Until 1995, Douglas did not leave his attempts, inviting Bruce Gary's drummer (Bruce Gary; Ex-Knack) to record new parties for the last of its low-line compilation "Voodoo Soup". After perennial court proceedings and endless hearings, the right to dispose of all the creative heritage of the musician returned to his father El Hendrix. It happened only in July 1995.

With Janie Hendrix, Jamie Hendrix (Janie Hendrix), a consolidated sister Jimi, the father of the late musician created the Experience Hendrix company and engaged in conclusion in the order of archives and the entire catalog of his son. According to his instructions, producer John McDermott (John McDermott) and who worked with Jimi sound engineer Eddie Kramer carried out control over the remastering process. They managed to find all the original master copies, including those that have never been processed to edition on CD. Finally, in April 1997, in the 30th anniversary of the appearance of the debut album "Are You Experienced?", Three first albums Jimi Hendricks were released in a new, noticeably improved version. Then there was a compilation of "First Rays of the New Rising Sun" (as the musician was going to call his last album), which was prepared on the basis of the track-sheet, compiled by the guitarist himself. Next, all new editions followed: Collections of the best songs, selection of unnecessary tracks, records of radio resources and concerts, including performance on the scene of Woodstock. Almost fully reprinted catalog of an outstanding musician, prepared by Experience / Mca Records in 1997, summed up some outcome in acquaintance with the full collection of Hendrque.

For those instantly flashing four years, which Jimi Hendrix (Jimi Hendrix) lived in the status of the world star, he enriched a guitarian engineering dictionary in such a number of innovations and improvements, which did not dream of its predecessors. However, followers too. Hendrix did not have equal in the ability to extract from his instrument an incredible palette of sounds, often not heard and completely unexpected by anyone. His hurricane sound attacks, decorated with all the virtuoso shine - he knew how to play, holding a guitar behind his back, clamping between his legs, filling it on her and even giving the strings to the teeth - sometimes his composer talent and vocal skill were obsessed, prevented the performer in it, finely felt wide Gamut genres: blues, rock, R & B. When in 1967, Jimi in the blink of an eye turned into an international superstar, he seemed to Marcianin, fallen from the sky. But the reality was prosaic: he had to undergo a long-term course of study, playing in dozens of R & B-groups. In the first half of the 60s, he worked with such Grande Rhythm-H-Blues and Richard, as Little Richard, Isley Brothers, King Curtis, touring and fulfilling the duties of a session musician.

The indisputable musical authority of the 20th century - Jimi Hendrix - one of the first to contribute to the explosive growth of the popularity of the electric guitar. Its unique, inimitable style and innovative approach gave a powerful impetus for the development of new musical forms and directions. The black guitarist did not know the notes and many of their ideas embodied spontaneously, in particular. His songs created for a short career (just 4 years) became a hymn of a whole generation. And not only. Among those who call Jimi Hendrix to their guru, many modern musicians, such as George Clinton, Steve Vai, Jonny Lang and others.

Dvihimi Hendrix (nee Johnny Allen Hendrix) was born on November 27, 1942 in the Sattle District Hospital (USA). A little later, the father of the child James Al Hendrix will give him another name - James Marshall.

At a young age, Jimi became interested in music. Among his idols are almost all the famous artists of that period: B.B.King, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Holly and Robert Johnson. Self-taught Jimi did not know a note literacy. It was probably forced him much more to concentrate on music. Even more than he could hear.

Once, Dadas Al noticed that his child shows a living interest in the guitar. "Often I forced Jimi to clean in the room," he remembers. "And he constantly found a bar from a broom. I asked:" Jimi, did you start the floors? "And he answered with an innocent look:" Oh, yes! "But soon it was discovered. that little Jimi just sat on the edge of the bed and a triple on a broom, as if he was playing the guitar. "

In order to stop mockerying the economic inventory, Al presented the Hawaiian guitar to the young talent, on which one string was stretched. However, having seen progress, in the summer of 1958, she worried about the used acoustics purchased from a buddy for five dollars. Thus, the "housing peasant" Jimi enters into the enthusiast group - "The Velvetones" - and breaks up with them after 3 months. They say that the reason for the gap with the latter served as a shirt with ruffles, in which Jimi dressed before going to the stage, which was terribly crowded by Little Richard . However, it is no more than rumors and suckness speculation. And the facts are such - during parting it cost without tears, and Jimmy, full of creative forces, collects his own group "Jimmy James & The Blue Flames", where he sings and solo on the guitar.

During the last half of the 1965th and the first half of the 1966 hendrix and Co. Keeping in Greenchich Village (New York district, at that time one of the country's cultural centers). At one of these speeches (in the cafe "WHA?") There was a meeting, which became the beginning of the Star Path of the musician. He meets with the bassist "The Animals" by Chandler. Chandler was as postponed by Gimi's game that he had offered a contract for which he had to shove in London to collect a new composition.

First of all, it was proposed to abandon the creative pseudonym in favor of this name. According to Chandlera, the whimpeted, as a shot, the name "Jimi" was to be a synonymous generation of the sixties. The vacancy of the drummer took Mitch Mitchell, bass guitarist - Noel Redding, and the trio itself was simply called and tastefully "The Jimi Hendrix Experience". Rumors about the new team were planted in London at the speed of oriental express.

The first single "EXPERIENCE" - "Hey Joe" - came to the British hit parade and was reached by early 1967 to the 6th place. Following the "Sorokovyatsky", a full-fledged LP "Are You Experinced?". Only a step remained to world recognition.

Trio "Experience" is invited to America to perform on a pop festival in Monterey. In the next morning, Jimi woke up the "star": the roller of the famous song "Wild Thing" (during her execution he burned on the stage of his "Stratocaster") television station broadcast worldwide.

The line of the first plate was continued in Axis: Bold As Love, which appeared on the shelves of music stores in the 1968th. Here the musician concentrates its attention on the director of compositions. Significant time by Jimi spends in the studio behind the remote control, extinguishing each turn of the handles and switches.

Upon returning to America in New York, he built the Electric Ladyland studio. This project served as an idea and gave the name of the next net, the next double LP. The 1969 year has passed in the roadside and painstaking studio work, which could neither affect the moral climate in the team. "Experince" is anulated as a creative unit.

Unfortunately, the plans of the ingenious musician were not destined to come true. The tragic case, which caused the consequence of an overdose of sleeping pills, broke his life on September 18, 1970. The records intended for the release were presented to the public only in 1997.

The creative heritage of Jimi Hendrix is \u200b\u200binvaluable. And after death, he continues to "produce" records. The number of reprinted records and their circulation cannot be calculated. Jimi's music, which absorbed blues, ballads, rock and jazz, made it one of the most popular figures in the history of rock music.

And now let's remember those who helped him: Bas Guitarist Noel Redding (Noel Redding), Mitch Mitch Mitch Mitch Mitchell (Buddy Miles).

I beat with "Ruby & The Romantics", "The Delophonics", "The Ink Spots" and "Wilson Pickett". After the performance of "Wilson Picket" in New York, Buddy receives an offer from a guitarist Mike Bloomfield to participate in the newly minted blus-fatal project "Electric Flag". "It was the best team in which I had ever had a chance to play," says the musician.

15 months later, under the ready manual, Miles is going to "The Buddy Miles Express", which recorded a row of successful plates such as "ExpressWay to Your Skull" and "Electric Church". They were discharged by Jimi Hendrix.
