How TV shows are filmed. How to shoot programs about apartment renovation What is difficult in the work of extras

Believe it or not, Vasily Vasilyev, a resident of Petrozavodsk, has long become his own man on many federal channels. He starred in famous TV shows and series. True, his role is not quite usual. Today Vasily can sit in the studio of one program and play a single father, and tomorrow he is already a windy hero-lover on the air of another program. Vasily told us frankly about how the filming process is going, how much the actors are paid and why there is no truth in any TV show. Still crying over another wonderful family reunion on Wait for Me? Then here's the shocking truth. After such a story, I don't want to watch TV ... We read interesting details of the stars' life behind the scenes!

A year and a half ago I moved to Moscow. I got acquainted with a neighbor who is recruiting a group for all sorts of shooting. It turned out that he needed people, and I needed a job. He invited me to the shooting. I agreed.

Participated in various programs. On TNT "They and We", "Six Frames", in the film "Mixed Feelings". On TVC the program "Without cheating". On "Russia 1" in the series "Heart of the Star" in eight episodes. On Saturday evening in 12 programs and others.

How does it all happen? They give me the text, I memorize it and tell the editor before shooting. The editor listens and approves. The camera turns on. If the editor has two people in mind for one role, then the one who tells the best is chosen. Before filming, they conduct a small casting.

Entries do not take place in live ... If there is any hitch, then the shooting is stopped and everything is replayed again.

The duration of filming is different. For example, the program "Saturday evening" is filmed for at least two hours. Philip Kirkorov comes, sings 8 songs, changes clothes 8 times, and then the shooting is cut into 8 gears. If Kirkorov did not get into the phonogram and did not open his mouth in time, then he starts singing all over again. And so with every artist.

There are always editors behind the scenes which show whom to clap when and how to smile.

There is no truth in any of the programs. Even though this is the "Hour of judgment", even though "Wait for me" ... All the characters and stories are fictional.

There is a program called "Live". But that's just a name. Filming takes place under the record, not live. Although once the program was shown live, when the shooting was dedicated to Eurovision. The topics in this show are always funny. Well, they are also fictional.

There is no simple spectator in any program.... Absolutely all viewers who are present on the set receive money. The smallest bet is in the Let Them Talk program. There, the spectator, who simply watches the process and claps, is paid 700 rubles. And this is in 4 hours. For the program "They and We," where I talked about my relationship with my fictional wife, I was paid 14 thousand. And the shooting of the program was done at 4 o'clock. Gordon and Strizhenova are masters of their craft. Gordon never has a double. Everything is removed the first time.

By the way, in life Gordon is a pleasant and easy-going person, and Strizhenova, on the contrary, does not let anyone near her. I liked Zhirinovsky. Very funny. Sergei Zverev always turns his nose up from fans. In each pause, make-up artists correct his makeup.

The hero of one show can easily become another hero, and already with a completely different story. There is a base of actors, from where people are recruited for extras.

I never participated in the TV show "Wait for Me" older viewers are recruited there. But I know that the stories there are also fictional. And people, supposedly looking for each other for decades, actually see each other for the first time in their lives.

Perhaps somewhere they tell real stories, but neither I nor my friends got into such shooting.

In all programs, absolutely all spectators and participants are made up... If you need to say some words, then make-up is applied for about half an hour.

On every shoot, the actors are told what to wear. In almost all television programs, the small cell and the thin strip are prohibited. Such clothes are dazzling in the eyes. It often happens that the summer season of the program is filmed in winter, and the winter season in summer.

To get to the main roles, you must have a higher theatrical education. I agree with that. Professional actors are different from nuggets. When I looked at myself from the side, I laughed a lot at the way I speak. But, nevertheless, I'm not going to study to be an actor.

In principle, you can make a living by attending television shootings. In the worst case, you can get 1,500 rubles a day. Of course, this is not much for Moscow, but still.

Friends and parents react normally to my activities. Many do not even watch TV, so they rarely see me on TV.

I want to continue filming additional earnings are not superfluous.

Become a TV star, hear the cherished “Lights, Camera, Motor!”, Sign autographs at fan meetings and pose for the paparazzi on the red carpet. Everyone has a chance to take part in the filming of a movie, TV series, TV show, video clip or advertisement.

How to get into the crowd, is the work of the viewer and the actor of crowd scenes paid adequately, and can a few seconds in the background become a springboard for an acting career? We figured out these issues, and at the same time talked with regular participants in the crowd scenes about their work and impressions.

You can sign up for some major TV projects as a guest directly on their official website. This is how they recruit, for example, viewers for the filming of the First Channel show "Evening Urgant" - http://urgantshow.ru/form (follow the link to find the viewer questionnaire, by filling it out, you will receive confirmation and details of the filming time by e-mail).

But experienced actors do not recommend using groups in social networks for employment:

"Groups of" Extras and filming "" VKontakte "- they cannot be trusted. Proposals came, I went through auditions, getting on different roles (not only extras), but in most cases it was a "scam", they say: "Sorry, you are suitable for us, but you have to pay to be removed by us." It makes no sense to search for "VKontakte", only through film studios or knowledgeable people", - says a student of the acting college Danila.

Naturally, the bulk of the proposals on all these sites refer only to Muscovites, since the shooting takes place at Moscow television studios or in the capital's clubs, and ends very late. Fewer, but still there are a lot of proposals for extras actors in St. Petersburg, in other cities of Russia filming is carried out much less often and there are not often extras.

Are crowd scene actors paid for work?

The price tags for participation in mass scenes of a movie or TV series vary from 600 to 1000 rubles, less often they offer large sums (as a rule, more than a thousand are paid for playing a passing role with a replica).

You can also earn extra money by participating in the filming of television programs - both as guests on talk shows and as spectators in the hall. Here they pay from 150 to 600 rubles, less often they offer large amounts. Roughly the same prices for participation in the filming of music videos, commercials.

To participate in paid filming, as a rule, you must pass a casting at least in absentia - according to a photo, as well as exactly match all the parameters presented by the employer (height, size of clothes and shoes, length and hair color, type of appearance, nationality, and so on).

Such castings are held infrequently, more and more often now they are limited to simply selecting by photo through email and internet forums.

“Requirements for extras are not as high as for episodes and performers of the main roles, but all the same, you always need to give 100% - suddenly they will notice you, some of the directors will like it. Although some actors of the extras are trash, as they believe that this is not a role. And at the same time, such actors are still waiting for grandiose roles! Even if you have a small role, you have to play it in such a way that everyone will remember it! " - Mikhail tells us about his experience of participating in the filming of the detective series "Maryina Roshcha", "Trace" and others.

Although there are many paid vacancies in this area, according to the reviews of all the actors of the extras, it is incredibly difficult to earn a living with such work, if not even say that it is almost impossible. The filming process requires from all the actors constant complete concentration, a long wait, the exact execution of all the director's instructions, and food and rest for the extras, as a rule, are not provided.

“Statisticians on“ Fashionable Verdict ”are given 500 unhappy rubles for 12 hours of filming. Many grandparents living nearby were in the studio during this time without proper food precisely because of this money, "- Diana about the filming of the" Fashionable Sentence "program for Channel One.

“Those who did the filming of two programs were paid 300 rubles each. On the set, I met people who only earn money from this. They are hardened, to some extent “their own” in Ostankino, the organizers know them by sight - impartial aunts who gather people for filming and call them to inform them about the time of the next filming. ...

“It’s stupid to do this for money. Only out of love for art or striving for dubious fame ”, - Anastasia on the filming of the film“ Tsar ”.

“Many of my acquaintances manage to fully support themselves on such earnings. True, I am not one of them ", - Victoria about filming in the youth television series" Club "," Daddy's daughters "," Do not be born beautiful "and others.

Extras: who are all these people and why are they here?

“Then some kind of movement began, and the organizers began to gather a column of people. My friend and I got into it. But then a whisper ran along the column: “They don't take us! They don’t take this column! ” Somehow instantly my friend and I met two other girls, grabbed hands and ran to the end of that moving column. For some reason no one stopped us. And we walked quietly. The next day at school, everyone admired us, because many people really did not make it to the shooting. And good. They would die there as we do ”, - Sofia on the filming of the film“ Shadow Boxing ”.

Who plays all these restaurant goers, concertgoers, silent waiters, postmen, taxi drivers, salespeople, or just passers-by on the streets? The most ordinary people, most often students, and not necessarily theatrical universities, and retirees. Movies and TV series constantly require extras, and therefore getting on the set is not a difficult task. True, it is worth considering right away that, as a rule, this is employment for the whole day - from the very morning until 10-11 pm, and therefore, working 5/2 full day or studying in the full-time department, finding an opportunity to participate in the filming is not so simple.

- And by what criterion are they selected? I ask a man in a bright orange shirt and blue tie.

- Yes, who will like it, who is the right color. As decorations, each artist has a certain color.

- No, but what to do? It's a job! The camera looks at you, you have to smile, laugh, amuse them. You work for them! They turn on the phonogram, the artist comes out, and you clap and smile, and then shout: "Happy New Year!" Nobody cares that you're not having fun at all. You have to be funny for THEM, otherwise - get out! "

“When I went there for the first time, I was very interested in the filming process itself, so I sat in the front row and watched the work of cameramen and illuminators more than what the director, Urgant and Gudkov were talking about. Although when Ivan appeared and somehow unexpectedly appeared over my head, I almost fell off my chair, ”- Diana on the filming of the show“ Evening Urgant ”for Channel One.

“You gain valuable experience with the camera: you learn to be natural, but at the same time attentive, focused on the task set by the director. It is not as easy as many people think, it all takes some getting used to. And I was able to make a lot of acquaintances on the set, useful contacts will not interfere! " - Mikhail about the experience of participating in the filming of the detective television series "Maryina Roshcha", "Trace" and others.

“Since I went to the shooting of a TV show for the first time, I wanted to dispel for myself a certain myth of show business. See how all this is filmed, how much the audience I saw on the screen matches reality on the set, how much people nearby are interested in the show, how lively their reactions are. Well, and see Vanya Urgant, of course. The shooting pleasantly surprised: both Vanya's jokes are funny, and the live music from the Frukty group gives optimism, and the audience around is sincerely happy ", - Anastasia about the filming of the Evening Urgant show for Channel One.

Do expectations match reality?

“The studio looks like a cardboard, to be honest, protracted and boring, although the heroines of the program really look shocked, and Evelina Khromchenko looks very professional. But the most important disappointment: voting for the best clothes is fictitious, ”- Diana about the filming of the show“ Fashionable Sentence ”for Channel One.

“I have such negative feelings from our world of cinema that, without professional training, I went to work as a gymnast in a circus. If only away. Although castings often interest me - as a means of self-examination ”, - Irina about filming in the film“ Above the Sky ”.

“The first thing that caught my eye when we sat down in our seats was the screens above our heads, on which instructions for action appeared:“ laugh ”,“ applause, ”- Tatiana about the filming of the show“ Evening Urgant ”on Channel One.

“We were sitting on some plastic benches, after which it was quite difficult to straighten up. Well, and the most important disappointment - we went to the "Private Screening" hoping to see a good movie, and at the same time listen to the opinions of critics and knowledgeable people. But it was not there. They showed us the screensaver of the film company. Then there was a pause. And credits. Like, it's time and honor to know, guys, ”- Marina about the filming of the“ Private Screening ”program for Channel One.

“Making TV shows I don't get as much pleasure as I would get on the set of full-length films. According to rumors, the big cinema has a completely different organization, more and more seriously, strictly, on a large scale, a very large film crew is working. I would like to immerse myself in this atmosphere, working non-stop inspires me ", - Mikhail about his experience of participating in the filming of the detective television series" Maryina Roshcha "," Trail ".

What is difficult about the extras?

Long wait, lack of proper food, the need to follow the director's instructions exactly. Many are also upset by the fact that the actors of the crowd scenes have almost no opportunity to communicate with famous partners on the set.

“They showed us only the credits, but we listened to the guests and the presenter for three hours of philosophizing. The filming of the first program has ended. As it turned out, the second program was supposed to be filmed next, which of course we were not warned about. We were angry and hungry, that's why we blew up home ... ", - Marina about the filming of the" Private show "program for Channel One.

“Sometimes they bring you to the shooting in the winter at ten in the morning, they keep you until the subway closes, then for a few more hours you wait for your fee and no one thinks to add something by taxi:“ Why? The metro will open in an hour and a half ", - Victoria about filming in the youth television series" Club "," Daddy's Daughters "," Do not be born beautiful "and others.

“For extras, an instruction to sit upright, not to cross your legs and clap on command. You are a dummy. You do not have a special role, you should be, but imperceptibly and in the way the director needs. At first, everything is interesting, you delve into the process, you notice the details. After two hours it is already difficult to sit the way you need to ", - Ksenia about the filming of the program" Let's Get Married! " for the First channel.

Attitude towards extras in the acting workshop

For many, working in extras is a great start to an acting career. True, there are times when the attitude of the actors towards the actors of the extras is dismissive. What is the reason for this? With their own behavior.

“For a penny to walk by passers-by, to stand in the background - deserves respect. But there are also such masses who, by an incredible accident, received small episodes and begin to build stars out of themselves, ”- Rinat, a professional actor.

“We fed and okay. Whether you feel cold or uncomfortable, nobody cares. You are not actors, you are extras. You are easily replaceable and are not important in the frame. If one girl or boy left or didn’t come, then the lacking people are sometimes recruited directly from people passing by - you don’t even have to pay money like that, ”- Veronica, crowd scene actress.

Become a witness of what's left behind the scenes!

Everyone knows that they often shoot dozens of takes of the same scene, seeking different reactions from the actors, choosing the right light, creating the right emotions ... Seeing all these episodes and finding out what's left behind is another privilege of the crowd scene.

“It was in Anapa on the set of Yeralash. It sounded "Camera, motor, start!" and the guys - "campers" began to fight with pillows. The director of the camp came, whose role was played by the famous artist Anatoly Zhuravlev. When he began to speak his line, a pillow flew at him and hit him on the safit. The soffit fell on Zhuravlev - it was not planned. Although he did not receive any serious bruises, the shooting stopped that day, since he refused to continue filming ... ", - episodic Mikhail about the filming of the Yeralash TV magazine.

“The presenters were encouraging, especially Guzeeva. She ridiculously messes up doubles and talks with the director on absolutely everyday topics, for example, she discusses with him who will go on vacation ", - Ksenia about the filming of the program Let's Get Married!" for the First channel.

Steps of the actor's career ladder

Many actors begin their careers with participation in the filming of films, TV series and commercials as extras. This is what this whole pyramid looks like:

Extras- participants in the directed crowd scenes, as a rule, are non-professional actors.

Statist- a separate member of the crowd.

Episode- an actor performing a separate small role, possibly with text, but his hero is not a significant character in a film or series.

Often: episodic actors are recruited for filming TV series. For example, distant relatives of the main and secondary characters who appear in only one episode - episodic roles, waiters in a new restaurant or random companions - episodic episodes, any random characters that are met in only one episode - episodic episodes.

Supporting characters- permanent characters a film or TV series that play a significant role in the development of the plot, repeatedly appear on the screen, have a movie past, their images are worked out in detail by the scriptwriters.

Often: stars of the first magnitude play supporting roles, because often secondary characters have a specific character, their images are bright and memorable. For the performance of supporting roles, they are awarded prestigious film awards, including the Oscar.

the main role- the pinnacle of the actor's career.

Can extra work be a step towards fame?

Leonardo DiCaprio began his career playing cameo roles in the TV series "Roseanne" and "The New Adventures of Lassie", and then got a larger role in another soap opera - "Santa Barbara".

Orlando Bloom began his career with cameo roles in the television series "Accident". It is worth noting that Bloom had an acting education by this time.

With a 15-second appearance in the film "Fire Service" began her career and Julia Roberts, who played tiny roles in little-known films for several years before she was able to attract the attention of producers and achieve roles in at least the second plan.

Keira Knightley since childhood, she starred as extras, participated in many TV shows and received cameo roles in serials.

Sergey Bezrukov first appeared in a movie in the role of a street child in the film "Stalin's Funeral", his name does not appear in the credits. Only after repeatedly participating in filming as an actor of crowd scenes, Bezrukov began to receive offers to play supporting roles.

Movie about movie? Yes!

The life story of an unemployed actor named Andy Millman, who all his life dreamed of making his way into a big movie, but so far only achieved a place in the crowd, says TV series "Extras"... All those who want to learn more about the life of the extras actors and take a look at all the twists and turns of this profession from the outside, it is recommended to watch this series!

For each new program, the studio is being built from scratch, on rented film studios, in abandoned warehouses and factory workshops. The studio, as a rule, is built through contractors - specialized firms that build sets, make light and sound, special effects and props, hang screens, etc. Moreover, the construction of the studio is proceeding with maximum cost savings, because the budget for each program is limited and for the sake of economy they go for everything.

Not far from the studio, a film crew is building a control room - a room for the director, film crew and television equipment. The control room is sheathed with noise-absorbing material so that unnecessary noise does not interfere with the sound. The equipment in the control room is connected to the equipment in the studio. Cameras are installed in the studio itself. Their number varies from 3 to 10, but more often it is 4-6. Cameras, sound and light are customizable.

There is a separate scenario for each program, in which the action of each character is detailed down to the smallest detail. When the hero of the program makes a mistake in answering the simplest question, it is not an accident. If a person answers the most difficult questions and makes incredible calculations in his mind, this is not the result of his abilities. All questions and answers to them are written in the script. There is nothing accidental or unexpected - everything is written in the script beforehand. Actors and presenters are selected, contracts are concluded with them.

On the the final stage preparation for the development of logos, screensavers, background music, graphics. Trailers are being filmed, extras are being recruited. As a rule, people come to little-known programs just so that they will light up. Major TV channels pay extras a small amount of money. At the same time, strict requirements are imposed on them in terms of appearance, discipline, and behavior in the studio. It often happens that the crowd is recruited from among the relatives and friends of the film crew.

The shooting day lasts from 9 am to 10 pm. Shooting session - 10 to 15 days. 2-4 programs are filmed per day so that one shooting session provides six-month broadcasting of programs. Shooting all programs for the season allows you to save a lot on renting a studio, equipment, on salaries for all project participants. Filming is carried out according to a predetermined scenario. All changes in the script are promptly reported to the presenter through a special earpiece. The leader is selected from the crowd and he is also given a microphone, through which the commands "applause", "laughter", "silence" are transmitted. The rest of the "masses" look at him and do the same.

After filming, editing is done. The most successful angles from all the shots are selected, everything unnecessary is removed, the duration of the transmission is adjusted to the desired one. Most importantly, all minor defects are removed: shading from a broken spotlight, breakage in the scenery, etc. Indeed, in most cases, filming cannot be stopped - the actors' play will be weaker, precious time will be lost, and all participants in the filming process will have to pay more. Thus, it is easier and faster to rewire than to re-shoot.

The finished program is launched on the air. The film crew rests and switches to other projects. After each episode is shown, the program's rating is measured. Depending on the rise or fall of the rating, the program is either closed, or a decision is made to shoot further issues.

People love travel shows. You can, without getting out of a comfortable chair, see the whole world, visit, albeit virtually, in different countries... But listening to a simple description of beauties and sights has become not as interesting as our ancestors, who, due to "Iron curtain" eagerly caught everything that was happening in the rest of the world. Therefore, extraordinary, conceptual travel shows appeared. One of these programs is "Heads and Tails". It is broadcast on the Russian TV channel "Friday!" But also on Ukrainian Inter. It is also shown with some delay on the Belarus 2 channel, in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, and even in Israel and Poland. But which country is filming Eagle and Tails, whose product is it? At first glance, it seems that it is Russian. In the parallel project “Heads and Tails. Shopping ”, launched from the beginning of 2014, foreign prices are converted into rubles. But if you watch the same episode on the Ukrainian channel Inter, you will hear the conversion of currencies into hryvnia. In short, the transmission is shrouded in mystery. But in this article we will reveal some secrets and tell you how to shoot "Heads and Tails". Does everything really happen the way the viewer sees on the screen?

TV show concept

Heads and Tails is a completely Ukrainian product. The citizens of this country are very fond of traveling. That is why concept travel shows are so popular here. The leaders in popularity are the programs "The World Inside Out", where the presenter travels around non-tourist routes, and "Heads and Tails". What's the concept for the last show? Avid travelers know that every country opens from the front door to a foreigner with money and from a black one to a budget backpacker. This idea was taken as a basis by the creators of the project, Elena and Evgeny Sinelnikovs... Each country or city where the hosts of the show come, they show from two sides. The splendor of Cuba's tourist areas and the poverty of its favelas, elite restaurants and hotels in Europe and hostels rented by students - it turns out that you can look at any sights from different angles. And sometimes it happens that a budget tourist can see more interesting things in the country than one who contemplates the world from the window of a luxury limousine. Why is the show called Heads and Tails? How is the show being filmed? According to the idea of a travel show, two presenters are sent to each city: one is budgetary, and the second is unlimited in funds. Who to be - the coin decides. If she falls heads up, the "gold bank card" is given to the one tossing her, and if it is tails - the other leader. The loser gets only one hundred dollars, for which he somehow has to survive for two days.

Seasons

So the idea for the show came first. It was invented by four people. A pilot episode about New York was quickly filmed and premiered in February 2011. The Ukrainians liked this interesting concept so much that it became clear: the project was clearly a success, it was necessary to continue. And therefore leading - spouses(at that time) Alan and Zhanna Bodoev - went to Las Vegas, and then to San Francisco and Los Angeles. And while the audience was perplexed as to shoot "Heads and Tails" in such a short time, the group of presenters with the operators went to Europe. The first city on the way of the film crew on the Old Continent was Barcelona. The show was constantly changing - from season to season. For example, in the second year of filming, a sponsor of the show appeared - a well-known wine producer in Ukraine. His advertising was carried out in a very intricate way: at the end of each episode, the "rich" host hides a hundred dollars in an empty bottle with an exact description of the place of the treasure. The finder is invited to send a photo or video of the search process. The bottle move has become a tradition, and now, already in the fifteenth season, it continues. The director is constantly bringing other ideas into play. Take Season 14, for example: Heads and Tails. Reboot". How was it filmed? The presenters toured some of the cities they had visited before. The goal of the project is to show what has changed in the country over last years... The seasons "Back to the USSR" and "Heaven and Hell" are also interesting.

"Heads and Tails": how the program is being filmed. What the viewer sees

Everything goes smoothly on the screen. Two presenters arrive in a city and play the "golden card" by tossing a coin. Throughout all seasons, there has only been one draw void. It happened in Tbilisi when Alan Badoev sacrificed his winnings for Jeanne. How is Eagle and Tails being filmed further? The presenters are separated (each with its own film crew) and live separately for two days off. Backpacker with his hundred dollars (in some cases euro) trying to rent cheap accommodations, feed in eateries, but also see the most iconic sights. All expenses are recorded at the bottom of the screen so that the viewer has an idea of how expensive the country is. The other presenter is simply wasting his life. He rents a luxury car with a chauffeur, rents the most best number in the most expensive hotel in the city, eats in top restaurants, orders excursions with a personal guide. In the end, the presenters meet, share their impressions of what they saw. And, of course, they hide a bottle with a hundred dollars. As a result, the viewer sees some sights twice: through the eyes of a rich and a poor tourist. Sometimes it turns out that the budget traveler plunges deeper into the life of the local population, and new interesting facets and nuances are revealed to him.

"Heads and Tails" behind the scenes: how the program is filmed

Everything looks natural and simple on the screen: the presenter walks around the city, communicates with local people, tells and shows the sights. However, smart viewers understand that they are following him: the director, the cameraman and the screenwriter. There is one person on the screen, but in reality there is a team of four. In some episode, the presenter spends the night in a tent on the glacier. But where do the technicians sleep? Many viewers have doubts: do the presenters really spend the night in creepy hostels or, conversely, rent luxury apartments in expensive hotels? Maybe everything these are staged scenes in the pavilion at the Dovzhenko film studio? And then they are diluted with pictures of sights ... Of course, not everything is going smoothly with the transmission of "Heads and Tails" behind the scenes. How do camera operators record the communication of the hosts with the local population? Indeed, in countries Western Europe and the Muslim world has its own concept of privacy. The director and co-author of the show, Evgeny Sinelnikov, says that the cameraman, producer and screenwriter even spent several days in prison in Cairo and India. And in Jamaica, the local population, believing that photos and videos take away a piece of their soul, pounced on the film crew with knives. Of course, the screenwriter arrives first. But the shooting itself takes place in full reality.

Do the MCs really live their travels the way they see them on screen?

Sometimes the furnishings of hostels in which in one Several strangers and sometimes aggressive people sleep in the room, quite frightening. Really, - thinks viewer - presenter really spend the night there? The veil of secrecy over how "Heads and Tails" is filmed was lifted main director Evgeny Sinelnikov. He reported that sometimes he takes pity on an actor or actress and allows them to spend the night in a normal hotel. But these exceptions only apply to city hostels. When the presenter Regina Todorenko, putting on a skirt with tights to be beautiful in the frame, went to sleep in a tent on the glacier, the director did not indulge her. As a result, the viewer saw the girl's blue lips and, to her remark: "How cold it was here!", Answered mentally: "I believe!" When the presenter spends the night in the skete, and at four in the morning a Buddhist monk wakes him up - you can't shoot it staged, the scene is completely real. As for the owner of the "gold card", even here in some cases the producer manages to save money. Mainly due to agreements... We advertise your hotel / restaurant / tour desk, and you give us a discount. But at the bottom of the screen, the usual amount for services is indicated. It happens that people, for some reason, offer to use their luxurious transport - a helicopter, a convertible Ferrari, etc. This was the case, for example, in Italy and Georgia. But in most countries the head waiter said: "We are not interested in our advertising in Ukraine." And I had to pay the indicated amount.

Cheapest and most expensive countries, as well as aerial scenes

Viewers are often interested in the question of prices. In particular, it is important for potential tourists to find out which countries will be the cheapest to relax in. The show's general producer answered these questions as well. London turned out to be the most expensive. The owner of the "gold card" spent $ 53,557 in the capital of Great Britain. True, fifty thousand paid for the room in a hotel where stayed Elton John, Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Mono and Charlie Chaplin. And the cheapest turned out to be Madagascar, where the presenter simply had nowhere to throw money, and with all his imagination he was able to spend only 32 dollars. Singapore is in second place in terms of budget travel. True, this applies to the presenter with a hundred dollars. If you spend the night in a tent in the city park, in a special place for camping, it will cost only $ 34 for food and museums in two days. Some of the objects that the presenters talk about are sometimes seen by the viewer from a bird's eye view. How is Eagle and Tails actually filmed? For panoramic views, a quadcopter is launched into the sky - a drone with a camera attached to it. There are funny things with him too. So, in Rotterdam, a drone crashed into a skyscraper. As a result, not only the footage was lost, but the police detained the entire group for a day.

Scandals, accidents and arrests

Naturally, countries of the world have different levels of freedom of speech. A cultural characteristics Muslim states do not allow to fully film people on the street, especially women. But the most difficult for the group was ... Belarus. Policemen constantly climbed into the frame, demanding documents. They forbade filming everything, even the parade. But the local population at the sight of a aimed camera became extremely suspicious and even aggressive. We have already mentioned the arrest of the entire group in Rotterdam. The cameraman in Cairo had to sit in prison, and in India he spent three days on a bunk in a campaign with a producer and director. An international scandal almost erupted when the host Alan Badoev decided to pick tangerines on the territory of the US Embassy. Andrei Bednyakov was fined in Batumi for picking flowers from a tree. On the set and without accidents. Regina Todorenko in Alaska fell from a 7-meter height. Fortunately, the presenter escaped with only abrasions. The entire film crew was involved in an accident in New Zealand while driving to Queenstown. We'll tell you later how Heads and Tails was filmed in the Heaven and Hell season. But the presenter Lesya Nikityuk posted a photo of her broken face in social networks just a few minutes after the accident.

Concept seasons

After four years of filming the show, its creators decided to diversify it. This is how the fifth and first concept season appeared. It was called "Kurortny". After all, tourists are mainly interested in "promoted" places of rest. Having made a voyage in Abu Dhabi, Antalya, Corsica, Dubrovnik, Ibiza, Crete and other resorts, the group opened the season "Back to the USSR", which caused an ambiguous reaction from the audience. It was not possible to get to Uzbekistan - the authorities banned the film crew from entering the country. It is noteworthy that for Russians the season "Back to the USSR" went through an additional edition - after all, the residents of the Russian Federation are proud of their Soviet past. At the same time, in Moscow, where Eagle and Tails was filmed, there was a fight between those who wanted to find the coveted bottle of Shabo wine with one hundred dollars. expressed violent indignation over the remarks of the presenter Andrei Bednyakov about Dushanbe. Then there were the conceptual seasons: "At the End of the World", "Unexplored Europe" and "10th, Jubilee". In this latter, the cities were represented by all the presenters who had participated in the program earlier. It was then that the concept of the next season was born - “Heads and Tails. Around the World ". Lena Sinelnikova describes how it was filmed. Around the world TV show was her know-how. All preparatory work took six months. But what happened next?

"Around the World"

It was decided within the framework of this season to show those cities that have not yet been filmed. It turned out to be difficult - after all, the creative team had already had five years of rich travels behind them. Therefore, the approved route resembled not a straight line, but rather a cardiogram. It was not possible to open a visa to some countries, others were downright dangerous. Ten people went on a trip around the world: two presenters, cameramen, directors, as well as editor, producer and Lena Sinelnikova herself, director. The tenth place was taken by the specialist responsible for filling the heading “Heads and Tails. Around the World: How It Was Filmed. It includes various curiosities, dangerous or funny moments cut from the main show. Moreover, the difficulties began on the very first day - the Group was not allowed to make professional filming at this place. Therefore, the episode of the transition by the leading symbolic lines was made with the help of iPhones. Not without curiosities in the future. For example, how did you shoot Heads and Tails in Goa? Then the whole group suffered from food poisoning. Therefore, even the owner of the "golden card" Lesya spent 34 dollars for food in two days, and her colleague Regina - five. The film tour around the world lasted from February 15 (Antwerp) to November 14, 2016. In connection with such a long business trip, the audience had questions.

Theater or reality?

It's amazing that the hosts of each episode wore a different outfit. This raised suspicion. But clothes (like European food to some countries) brought from Ukraine. The viewers also noticed that already at the airport it was possible to assume who would get the “golden card” during the draw: the future backpacker was dressed simply, in a sporty way. But in the case of the draw, everything is fair. There were only two cases when a coin was tossed in the studio: when one of the hosts was delayed in issuing a visa. Then the episodes were filmed not synchronously. The audience's suspicion was also aroused by the presenters' magical ability to "open all doors": wherever they came (supposedly spontaneously), they were shown everything and carried out everywhere. This is explained by the way the show “Heads and Tails” is filmed: two or three days before the arrival of the presenters, the director arrives in the city. And before him, negotiations are still underway about places in hotels, ordering a car, etc. The director determines the route of both presenters and locations. It identifies cheap and expensive dining spots, attractions worth showing. But this does not mean at all that the show "Heads and Tails" is completely staged. The presenters do not have written texts, they give out emotions from what they saw directly, they do not play, but live. But even with this preparation, there are overlays. One of them took place in Alma-Ata. The director, before filming the program "Heads and Tails", found a cafe in which he was assured that it was very budgetary. When the presenter with her already not full hundred dollars came there and ordered beshbarmak, she was billed $ 110! And in Monte Carlo, the presenter with the "gold card" was carried away so much that she lost 35 thousand. It was purely her initiative, and such an act angered the producer and sponsors.

"Heaven and Hell"

The Heads and Tails program constantly surprises the audience. In February 2017, a new season started, called "Heaven and Hell". quite simple: to show the tourist "facade" of a country and at the same time behind the scenes, how ordinary people live. As it turned out, there is a "hell" not only in the states of Southeast Asia, India, Latin America or the Caribbean, but also in Europe. This was eloquently told by stories about Switzerland, Corfu, New Zealand (Queenstown and Queensland). But, surprisingly, some tourist countries were able to profit from this for themselves. When "Heads and Tails" was filmed in Nha Trang, the resort of Vietnam beloved by Russians, the hosts were constantly accompanied by crowds of tourists. And after the release of the plot, many travel agencies offer a route to the sights shown on the TV show.

before the 13th season of Heads and Tails was filmed, the idea for this very last season was born. The first story, about Hong Kong, was released in March 2017. Thus, the TV show was divided into two independent projects, with its own presenters and film crew. The Reboot concept was inspired by the circumstances. Over the thirteen seasons filmed, there are almost no countries left where the film crew of the travel show "Heads and Tails" has not yet visited. Then it was decided to take a ride through the old places. What has changed in them over the years? It turned out that time does not stand still. And those who visited a country several years ago can go there again and get completely new impressions.

“Heads and Tails. New Year "and other parodies

When the popularity rating goes off scale, why not laugh at yourself? In November-December 2016, the group decided to shoot a New Year's "skit". Everyone who took part in the filming of Around the World gathered in a wooden house in the village of Reshkino. Everyone ordered a New Year's wish, which suddenly came true. It turned out that this is not at all what the participants of the show "Heads and Tails" actually wanted. After various funny twists and turns, everything returns to its place, and the creative team once again sets off to travel the world.

In the video, you can see footage from the film and information about a unique VR project that will take viewers to the set using virtual reality glasses.
