Childhood and youth

In the Drama "Moscow Saga" Yuri Solomin played Surgeon Gradov, whose spouse was performed by Inna Churikova. In the screening of 2005, the plays of Anton Chekhov "Seagull", which Margarita Terekhova, was removed, Yuri Solomon had the role of Brother Arkadina - Peter Sorina.

In the second half of the 2000s, Yuri Solomin appears on the screen. With his participation, the series "Heavy sand", "Isaev", "Point of boiling". Personal life

Yuri Solomin is constant not only in work, but also in personal life. As a child, he told his parents that he would marry once and for all. So it turned out. With his wife Olga Nikolaev, the actor lived for over 60 years. They met when they were students of theatrical school. - Yuri Mefodievich, what play the small theater will open the 262nd season?

Our theater is national heritage. For many years, we have a tradition - to open the season is Ostrovsky, Gogol or Griboedov. This is the classic of Russian drama. 17 years ago on the same historical stage we presented to the audience the premiere of "Mount of Mind" Griboyedov. And since then, we open this production every season.

- What premieres are you preparing for release?

The People's Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Yazhepov set the "small tragedies" of Pushkin, in which she also played three roles himself. And I am preparing for the release of "marriage" Gogol.

In addition to their directors, you started working with a producer group from Israel this season. Why did you invite foreign colleagues?

Directed by Ilan Ronen, the former artistic director of the "Gabim" theater from Tel Aviv, will put the tragicomedy Durrenmatta "Visit of the Old Lady". Why did I invite Ilan to put with us? I watched His performances and remained under great impression. The staged group has already started working. They came during our holiday, talked with our artists, artists, scertes. Now in our sewing workshops create costumes and shoes. The performance will be occupied by almost all the troupe of the small theater.

In general, every season we try to invite colleagues from abroad. Since 2010, we cooperate with the director from Italy Stefano di Luka. He put three performances in the Small Theater: "Lovers", "Filumen Moroturo" and "servant of two gentlemen." Five years ago, we collaborated with the French director George Lavodan - they made a play "Sirano de Bergerac" with him.

Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky, having visited the troupe at you, advised the Small theater to put more performances about modern Russia, noting that Chekhov, and Ostrovsky wrote about their contemporaries.

- And who do not want to put the plays about modern Russia? I want everyone. But the fact is that the play should be well written. If you read every day what I bring me, they would have come to the hospital. When a decent play appears, then we will think. In the meantime I love Russian literature. A few years ago, we had performances on Rasputin, Shukshin. I am delighted with them. And also - Abramov, Belovy ... This is the company from Russian literature for the second half of the 20th century, which can be said now: our classics. If there are such authors - we will put. But while the second Rasputin did not appear.

Name me, who now puts the plays about modern Russia? More converted the classics to themselves, under modernity. It's like putting a leather jacket on me now. That's not mine.

- Among modern playwrights, you do not see decent small theater?

So far, what I read is not suitable for this scene and even for the scene on Ordyanka. Those plays that we are sent are more suitable for touring small troupe. Why do we need this when we have a big glorified troupe? Therefore, we appeal to the classic that you can install infinitely. Few people compare with Ostrovsky, Chekhov, Gogol, Shakespeare.

- The proposal of Medina was unexpected for you?

No, why. I understand him as a minister. Of course, modern dramaturgy is needed. And where to take it? There are decent artworks, good books, but this is not a play. According to them, it is necessary to make performance. And it is pretty difficult. In principle, it would be possible to work and write a staging on a good prose. Last year, we almost released a play called "Yalta". And I even had to play a role in it.

The basis of the formulation was the Book of Swedish Writer Lucas Svensson.

- Is it about the 1945 Yalta conference?

Yes. About the delegation, about politics. By the way, the book is very good. Therefore, we agreed. But when we started working, there were inconsistencies. It was necessary to climb into some historical material, something to specify and finish. And we still do not have time for it. Two or three months and we must release a performance.

- For the production of "Yalta" needed a big additional job?

Of course, but I do not blame the director Alexander Nordstrem in this. By the way, he translated the Book of Svensson from Swedish to Russian.

- I guess in this performance did you have to play US President Roosevelt?

I will not say. The performance did not take place, so that in vain to flutter ... Well, and who knows him, maybe they will return to this material.

These days you have a double holiday: not only the opening of the season, but also 60 years old, as you work in the Small Theater. And how did you take old men, idols, when did you just appear in this collective?

Just as today we have taken graduates of the theater school of Schepkin. Only I came in a suit and tie, and the current youth comes in sweaters and suspenders. Therefore, I recommended them directly from the scene: before going to the Small Theater, look at yourself in the mirror. At home you can walk, but the theater is holy for us. So I am accustomed. I also do not like to walk in the costume every day. Durak look. But in the Small Theater, all men observe etiquette. And youth - Oballa. Well, nothing will learn.

Although youth young people are dispersed. You know, I recently saw a TV show, where the boy sang the song "Sacred War" four years old. "Let the rage are noble ..." - You did not have the desire to find this boy and call in a small theater for a small role?

To start a learning process, teachers and students needed to prepare firewood, heat the school, hit the drifts, to learn the Azam of any craft, to remake the mass of the necessary work, which was happening together. I remember and keep a heart attachment to my first teacher - Natalia Pavlovna Bolshakova, I hope - like she to me. After graduating from school, she followed me, as for the rest of the students: wrote me letters, disassembled movies with my participation and made comments. I remember and gently treat her and my classmates. Life scattered us in different cities, professions: colonel, doctor, scientist, engineer, artist. But we, gathering, remember Natalia Pavlovna with not cooled warmth.

E.C.. Your childhood proceeded in Chita. What did this transbaikal city enrich you? What is remembered most?

Yu.S.. Cultural life. Mass, somehow violent worship of culture. My parents were musicians, so to speak - local, Transbaikal filling. At the end of the 20s both were enrolled in the Leningrad Conservatory, successfully studied in it. But Mom got sick, almost losted hearing, and they had to return to the cheat.

Returning, the parents devoted their lives to this, without anything could live - art. Thanks to them, I, "outdoor" with a football field, watched and gradually fascinated by many operas in theaters Chita and Ulan_-Ude, Irkutsk. There worked the theaters, hardly the best operetta in the USSR.
