For me, the clarity of the position, certainty of attitudes towards major issues, accuracy of the assessment has always been important. Although, naturally, over the years of work, some priorities have accumulated, which I try to follow. Now it is unlikely, and, probably, for this time I am quite outdated, and my views seem conservative. Of course, in addition to white and black flowers, there is a whole range of halftone - it always was, there will be.

Nevertheless, the struggle of conscience and circumstances in which you get, are peculiar to all centuries - and our time too. There is always a problem of choice, the problem of value priority. And the voice of the conscience does not stroke - in each of us to some extent there is a Pilate. In my life there were a lot of moments when fate had a happily led me without any effort on my part. Happiness is unusually fleeting. Not I say this, there is nothing original in this. I can not say: ah, I was happy for a month. But the moments of some wild happiness are good luck. But it goes very quickly. I try not to faint with any failures, nor with serious life problems and not too rejoice at the good thing that happened to me.

No, wisdom, in my opinion, does not accumulate: it is either there, or it is not. What wisdom? Fatigue accumulates, some ability to behave at certain moments of life, appears, perhaps, the ability to recognize the other. But can I say that he became wiser than was in 20 years? Nothing like this! Well, maybe a little inversion. If earlier I could be perfect idiot, rejoicing some trivia, now much causes only a sour smile. His relationships with people who thought were different, did not deteriorate.

Happiness that he was a leader, but not the point. There are few good leaders, but there is no good leaders, and he was not a supervisor and not a patron, he was in the Father Theater.

In 1989, we met as deputies of the Supreme Council of the last convocation. Not because they climbed into politics, and because each creative union (and STD, including) there were ten places and the theatrical people put forward us ... Just at that time, George Alexandrovich was not. Lavrov turned to Gorbachev and asked him to let him go from the funeral session ... And in a month or one and a half, he invited me to put a performance in the BDT, I remember that Tovstonogov called twice and offered me "Deceit and love" ...

When, after the death of Tovstonogov, Lavrov unanimously chose the artist, the first thing he said to me is: "Temour, I am temporarily ...". 18 years! There were good luck, failures, crisis days, everything was, but - no shocks, earthquakes, wars, intrigues, conflicts. And it's all - Lavrov! Very often, when it came to him, the conflict was filmed, because in front of him stewed.

He all took over. This cannot be learned - the ability of Lavrov to find a common language with people, the ability of Lavrov to be a magnet. How many times in different reasons I said: "Kirill Yuryevich, maybe you will not go" - "Temur, I promised."

In Moscow, we were not allowed, there was a premiere on the nose, I, I remember, wrote an open letter to the author to the author, in order to somehow defend a person, in honor of which no one even doubt the virtue of whose advantage. It was amazing: before the fact of meanness, he is strong, influential - it was absolutely defenseless! Then he heard from colleagues that, being in Moscow, Lavrov still found the criticism and had already headed for him, but ... I didn't want to paint my hands. What told the "addressee" personally.

He was, almost the only of the artists, in whom the human was not defeated by acting. Somehow we talked on this topic, and K. Yu. Said:

The acting profession involuntarily imposes an imprint. The person who is pretending to be all his life on stage cannot refuse it in life. Still involved on "I", on my soul, on my head, on the insides. Therefore, the aggravated sense of pride. Well, how to transfer that my spleen is not like that, like everyone else that she is ugly?! He knew how to be friends, but was a man of non-isolated principles. I remember a few cases. I'll tell one. We celebrated or the fifth, or the tenth play "before sunset" in the "Red Corner" of the theater, and very respected, but pretty the elderly artist, forgetting that I went with the play "from call to call," asked: "Kira, this is why in our scenes during the play critic?!" People walked with luxurious roses, with one flower or without flowers at all (nothing to buy, but they wanted to say goodbye), they walked old and young, parents and children. I think April 29 through the Leushinsky compound, and then through the scene of the BDT held the best people of our city with a number of more than 10,000. I would like to look at the president and the governor in their faces, especially since the funeral of Lavrov's funeral was incomparable with the appeal to the elections. But, alas, nor the president nor the governor commemorated the memory of the great person by the presence, the second and third parties performed on the paneir. It was especially offensive, since Kirill Yuryevich himself belonged to the duty and never sent secretaries instead of himself. I was driving myself. Accompanied. Felt. Remembered.

He was a very wise man, we had a very close relationship, I often remember him. This is Yury Pavlovich Herman. Our meetings were not so frequent, but he taught me a lot, and I came, served eight years in the army, and I absorbed everything as a sponge. Then, quite a short time there was a story with a person who made a significant impression on me. This is Viktor Petrovich Astafiev. We see not at all so often, but a lot of rewrite, he was a man of amazing wisdom, originality and principle. When Mikhail Alexandrovich Ulyanov died, Lavrov found the strength to go to the funeral. Two "Karamazov's brothers", two great actors, two citizens, real men who had a burden of leadership theaters, who were true to all their lives (Lavrov served in BDT from 1955 to 2007), they often joked - who will leave first.
